Another great encyclopedia by Lego. The little toy soldier it comes with has a windup piece on the back and it's so cute!! These minifigs are only from Lego series though, not from Lego sets. There are plenty of fun minifigs in this book that I have never seen before.

A book about LEGO minifigures. So many fun characters. My son and I enjoy looking through the LEGO encyclopedias and reading about the different figures. A great book for fans of LEGO.

This book is so fun! I've read many Lego books with my children, and to be honest, most of them I find quite dull. I love Lego, but I just usually don't get joy out of reading about Lego, as my kids tend to do. However, this book is different. Each minifigure comes with it's own personality. Many of them are hilarious. Some of them are surprising. Some are completely opposite to what you'd expect, based on the character it is. There are also neat facts, such as what letters stand for on a minifigure's uniform. My children, ages 6 and 9, loved this book, and I did, too.

Although all of this information is available on the LEGO website, having it in print form is much more enjoyable. Each minifigure character has a brief description of how it came to be, and points out all of the easter eggs and allusions each character features. It also shows off the original features and new parts of each minifigure, as well as ideas on how to use each figure. LEGO has really evolved from when I was a kid, and this is a cool book that will show you how that all came to be.

Though you can get most of this information on the Lego website, it is nice having it in your hands and so easily accessible. I love the little facts about the minifigures and how they came to be. I also love the Toy Soldier. I only wish it didn't need the book to be twice as thick to hold this minifigure.

Borrowed this from the library - it's a cute book showcasing the first ten series of the blind-bag collectable Lego minifigures. A quick read. I wish it had more insight from the design team, but as I am not at all the intended audience for the book, I understand why it is light on those details...
