Very much not a fan of this writing style,it came off as very juvenile—from the tone of writing as well as the immaturity of the main characters, despite them being in their late 20’s/early 30’s. Natalie has the same back and forth discourse throughout the entire 188 pages: does she like me or does she not? I could almost imagine her picking flower petals while pondering. The whole “I was in love with my gay best friend for years” thing also felt so forced and unnecessary, it almost felt like the author only added it to push the bisexual narrative, but it didn’t actually add to the story. We get it, she’s attracted to men too.

To add, it’s strange that this is advertised as a “spicy” novella when it hardly comes off that way. Just because the plot refers to sex does not mean it’s “spicy.”
