This book was previously released as Fierce King, and has been significantly revised and extended for re-release.

Everybody's the villain in somebody's story...

Today is my wedding day.

In a few moments, I’ll be Mrs. Alejandro Montoya.

He’s the King of L.A, and almost every woman’s dream. A man powerful enough to own the city and everyone in it. Handsome enough to make women forget their own names. Rich enough to buy anything he wants.

Including me.

But I’m not just another woman dazzled by his money and power. I’m Alana Carmichael, and I’m here for one reason only—to save my father.

I won't kneel for any king.

You see this is no fairy tale happy ever after. This is my nightmare.

Alejandro is cold, ruthless, and impossible to escape. I should despise everything about him. Instead, every heated glance leaves me breathless, and every stolen touch burns beneath my skin long after he's gone.

But the deeper I'm dragged into his world, the more I unravel the web of lies my father has carefully constructed. The truth is more awful than I ever imagined.

I thought I was marrying the villain.

I was wrong.

The real monster has been hiding in plain sight all along.

This book right here is the cause of my book addiction!!! It got me hooked on Sadie Kincaid. I listen to the AUDIO at least once a month. Yes, it's that good!!! Now, upgraded, OMFG!! Sadie stoooooooopppp!!!! It's too much!!! I loved these two from the bottom of my heart!!!

I couldn’t put this book down—it completely hooked me from start to finish. The chemistry between Alex and Alana is intense and unforgettable, and their relationship takes you on a wild, emotional ride. What begins as a forced arrangement quickly evolves into something much deeper, layered with tension, vulnerability, and undeniable attraction.

Both characters come from complicated backgrounds and have never truly experienced love before, which makes their journey feel raw and authentic. Watching their walls come down—especially Alex’s—adds so much depth to the story. Alana’s growth is just as compelling, as she begins to see the truth about her past and finds the strength to choose her own path.

The pacing is gripping, the emotions are real, and the twists keep you fully invested. And that ending… absolutely shocking. I’m already counting down the days until the next book. Highly recommend!

5⭐️I love Alejandro and Alana and their love story. I love how their marriage arrangement leads to so much more. I love how they both positively impact each other and you really see the growth of both their characters. The spice was fantastic, because Sadie is the absolute queen of spice and dirty talk. And Alejandro speaking in Spanish when he’s professing his love or being intimate with Alana is everything! Anxiously awaiting book #2 in the series to get to more of their story!

💍🖤 L.A. King pulled me in from the very first chapter and refused to let go. Sadie Kincaid has a way of creating stories that feel dangerous, emotional, and utterly impossible to put down, and Alejandro Montoya and Alana Carmichael's journey is a perfect example of that.

Alejandro rules Los Angeles with an iron grip. He's feared, respected, and accustomed to getting exactly what he wants. Trust doesn't come easily to him, and emotions are weaknesses he's spent years burying. Then an arranged marriage places Alana directly in his path, changing everything he thought he knew about control.

What fascinated me most was the way their relationship unfolds. Alana doesn't try to challenge Alejandro head-on or force herself into his world. Instead, she gradually becomes impossible for him to ignore. Every conversation, every shared moment, and every crack in his carefully constructed walls brings them closer together. Watching Alejandro struggle against feelings he never intended to have was both frustrating and incredibly satisfying. 🔥

The emotional depth of this story surprised me in the best way. As Alana attempts to navigate a marriage built on secrets and expectations, she also finds herself confronting pieces of a past that never quite made sense. With every revelation, the foundation beneath both of them begins to shift. The deeper she digs, the harder it becomes to know who deserves her trust and who has been hiding the truth all along. 🥀

One of the strongest aspects of this book is Alejandro's character development. Beneath his intimidating exterior lies a man shaped by loyalty, fear, and responsibility. Seeing his perspective evolve added so much weight to the story and made his emotional journey feel authentic. He remains possessive, intense, and unapologetically powerful, but there's a vulnerability beneath the surface that makes him impossible not to understand.

The romance thrives on tension, misunderstandings, and the constant push-and-pull between attraction and doubt. What begins as an arrangement neither truly wanted slowly transforms into something far deeper. Through betrayals, family conflicts, and endless obstacles, Alejandro and Alana become each other's refuge in a world where trust is a luxury neither can afford. ❤️‍🔥

The pacing never slows, balancing action, drama, and emotional intensity perfectly. Every secret uncovered feels significant, every confrontation raises the stakes, and every moment between Alejandro and Alana leaves an impact. Their story is messy, consuming, passionate, and unforgettable.

L.A. King delivers everything I love in a dark romance—powerful emotions, unforgettable characters, explosive chemistry, and a relationship that evolves in ways neither character could have predicted. Even on a reread, the story hit just as hard. Alejandro and Alana's journey is the kind that lingers long after the final page, leaving you thinking about them long after you've closed the book. 👑🖤✨

This is the book that first started my obsession with Sadie. It's a rewrite, and I'm excited that I can sort of read it for the first time again lol!!

Alex and Alana are forced into an arranged marriage, as are many in the mafia world. He thinks she's going to be the typical woman who wants his money and prestige, and, not being interested in women like that, he doesn't treat her the best. Alana is doing what she can with her situation and is far from the usual wife of high society.

Alana is about helping others; she wants to do charity work, and with strict rules, Alex gives her some space to do so. She's caring and kind, and she will fight for those in need. I love the relationship she has with her security detail; he wants to keep her safe, not just because it's his job, but because he cares for her (not in a romantic way - more like a protective brother).

And Alex, oh Alex... he commands a room; he's ruthless, respected by his men, and no one dares to cross him. At first, I hated how he treated Alana, but over time, as he got to know her, my heart warmed with how much he loved and cared for her. He was so possessive and obsessed with her that no one dared even look at her wrong.

Even when these two weren't on the best of terms, you could still sense their amazing chemistry and magnetic pull towards each other. Their insane attraction led to super steamy scenes, which were wonderful and addictive! The way their relationship developed was perfect and never forced.

I've always loved the side characters and was very happy when I found out the other two had their own duet!!!

I cannot recommend this book enough. And the audiobook for the first book was amazing, and I'm assuming this one will be just as good, if not better (it will prob be in duet instead of originally duel)!

Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

LA King by Sadie Kincaid, the first book in the LA Ruthless series, is a dark mafia romance that immediately drops you into a world of power, control, and dangerous attraction set against the backdrop of Los Angeles’s criminal underworld. At its core, this is a forced marriage story between Alejandro Montoya, the feared “King of LA,” and Alana Carmichael, a woman who walks into the arrangement not out of love but necessity, determined to save her father no matter the cost.

From the opening pages, the tone is tense and claustrophobic in the best way for this genre. Alana’s situation is bleak, and the sense that she has been placed into a life she never chose gives the story its emotional weight. Alejandro is written as the kind of alpha antihero who commands every room he enters, equal parts magnetic and intimidating. The dynamic between them is built on resistance, power imbalance, and slow, simmering tension that gradually shifts as secrets begin to surface.

What stands out most is the emotional push and pull between obligation and desire. Alana’s defiance never feels entirely erased even as the relationship deepens, which keeps her from fading into a passive role. Alejandro, meanwhile, is not softened too quickly, and the story leans into his ruthlessness as much as his protectiveness. The romance develops through proximity and conflict rather than easy trust, and the result is a steady burn rather than instant resolution.

The book also leans heavily into mafia romance staples including danger, family loyalty, betrayal, and hidden histories that complicate every relationship. The external stakes are woven into the romance so the tension never fully lets up, even during quieter character moments. That balance is where the book is most effective, keeping both emotional and plot-driven tension active throughout.

The writing is straightforward and immersive, focused more on pacing and emotional impact than lyrical detail. Scenes move quickly, and the plot is structured to keep revelations coming at a steady pace, which suits the high-drama tone of the series.

Overall, LA King works best if you enjoy dark, high-control romance dynamics with possessive heroes, forced proximity, and morally grey characters where love develops through conflict rather than comfort. It sets up the LA Ruthless world with intensity and a strong central pairing that drives the rest of the series forward.

ARC Review
I absolutely loved returning to Alejandro & Alana's story! I originally read Fierce King (now LA King) a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with it, so when I heard that Sadie was releasing an updated version, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. And let me tell you, getting to experience Alejandro and Alana's story all over again was everything I hoped it would be and more!
For anyone new to the book, LA King follows Alejandro Montoya, a powerful and feared mafia man who rules LA with an iron fist. In his quest for more power he enters an arranged marriage with his bride being Alana. To him, she's a spoiled princess from New York who's Daddy is a powerful man in congress. But soon he realises that all he's led to believe on Alana is not true, and vice versa.
Alana's been told she needs to save the family with this marriage and is painted a horrible picture of Alejandro. Their first impressions on their wedding day, aren't the best. Our boy Alejandro let's himself down there, but boy oh boy does he make up for it after.
He's intense, possessive, protective, and completely obsessed with Alana in the best way. Beneath all the power and ruthlessness, there's a vulnerability when it comes to her that made me fall for him all over again. He also has a strong aversion to her wearing panties which was giving me life! The rules, punishments and rewards he doles her way are EVERYTHING!
Alana is the perfect match for him, she's strong, determined, and never afraid to stand her ground. She's independent but also so incredibly kind and wants to help others and I think it's when Alejandro see's this, he realises she's so much more than he first thought and actually helps change some of his ways.
While they didn't exactly like each other at first the chemistry between these two is incredible from the very beginning. The tension, the banter, the emotional moments, and the steam all blend together perfectly. Even though I already knew how their story unfolded, I found myself completely invested all over again, unable to put the book down.
Revisiting this story reminded me exactly why it became such a favourite for me and now I want to read the rest of the series.

This was the book series that made me fall head over heels for Sadie’s writing so I was so happy to re-experience Alana and Alejandro’s story once again.

This story starts with an arranged marriage between Alana and Alejandro. This marriage definitely starts on the wrong foot as both our characters have misconceptions about each other. Alana believes that she is entering this 3 year marriage to save her father’s image as Alejandro is holding something over his head when in fact her father basically gave her away to suit his own purpose. On the other hand Alejandro needs Alana’s father’s name to smooth some avenues of his business and he was lead to believe that his future wife was spoilt and completely devoted to her father.

With both of these elements at play the marriage starts off distant, but Alana most certainly spreads her wings and challenges her new husband. Alejandro soon learns that Alana is not the woman he perceived her to be and his cold heart starts to thaw toward her.

Alejandro’s possessiveness and obsession towards his wife has to be my favourite thing, because the mouth on this man and he definitely paved the way in Sadie Kincaid MMCs for me. Alana is strong yet gentle soul, she likes the simple things in life while also giving back to the community. You see it quite clearly the Alana didn’t like the so called charity the high society women of LA were providing and with the experience she gained from her fathers campaign days thus sought out a woman’s shelter and started fundraising for a place she knew needed support.

If you haven’t read this book I highly recommend it because when the walls firmly come down on either side a new power couple in the name of the King and Queen of LA is born🤭

This is the first book in Alana and Alejandro’s duet so it does end in a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to continue to refreshed version of their story in book two. Thank you to the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts.

L.A. King proves exactly why Sadie Kincaid’s LA Ruthless series is so addictive. Alejandro Montoya is ruthless, untouchable, and every bit the king of Los Angeles — a man feared by everyone around him and controlled by absolutely no one. That is, until Alana Carmichael enters his life through an arranged marriage neither of them truly wanted… and somehow becomes the only person capable of cracking through the armour around his heart.

What I loved most about this story is that Alana doesn’t storm into Alejandro’s life demanding his attention — she slowly works her way under his skin. Piece by piece, she forces him to see her for who she really is, and watching this cold, dangerous man unravel because of her was honestly delicious. Alejandro spends so much of the book fighting his feelings, questioning her motives, and wondering if trusting her will ultimately destroy him. The tension between love and suspicion keeps every interaction sharp, emotional, and ridiculously addictive.

Their marriage of convenience develops into something intense, passionate, and unexpectedly tender. Beneath all the power plays, danger, and ruthless family dynamics, there’s this deep emotional connection growing between them — one where they slowly become each other’s safe place in a world built on betrayal and control. And the chemistry? Absolutely explosive!

This book completely consumed me the first time I read it, and somehow the reread hit just as hard. The drama, the passion, the emotional pull — it all still delivers. L.A. King is dark, addictive, sexy, and packed with the kind of romance that gets under your skin and refuses to leave. Alejandro and Alana are chaos, obsession, and devotion wrapped into one unforgettable story.

OMG, I freaking loved this book so much. Seriously, does Sadie Kincaid put drugs in her books? Because I was completely addicted from the very first chapter and could not put it down.

LA King follows Alejandro, a powerful playboy Mafia Don who has absolutely no interest in his new wife. To him, Alana is nothing more than a "socialite, Manhattan princess," and their marriage is strictly business. Falling in love is not part of the plan.
But Alejandro soon finds out that Alana is nothing like the woman he's been led to believe she is. In fact, she couldn't be more different.

One of my absolute favourite things about this book was Alejandro. I was obsessed with how obsessed he becomes with Alana. The man is completely gone for her, and watching him go from an indifferent husband to a possessive protector was everything. His intensity made him such an addictive MMC, and he is among my all time favourites.

And then there's Alana. I enjoyed watching her grow into her own person. She evolves into a confident, self assured woman who isn't afraid to question Alejandro or stand her ground. I loved seeing her find her strength.

There are so many secrets, twists, and turns throughout LA King that I genuinely never wanted to stop reading. The chemistry was intense, the character development was fantastic, and the storyline kept me invested from beginning to end. (Well almost end, as there is a cliffhanger).

If you love possessive, obsessed heroes, strong heroines who come into their own, and a romance packed with spice and tension, then LA King is an absolute must read.

ARC REVIEW

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Star Review
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 5/5 Spiciness Level

RECOMMENDATION:
Mafia king MMCs are always so intense! Alejandro fits the mold being a billionaire, devastatingly handsome, brooding, angry and plows through women like they mean nothing! And women mean nothing to Alex… at least until he marries Alana!

Alana is being pawned off as a power play that her father is trying to benefit from. She’s being coerced into marrying Alex for 3 years. They definitely get off to a really tough start. I mean geez, their wedding night is nonexistent.

As time goes on, these two souls… who have never known how to love… begin to both grow into people each other wants to love. However, they are both harboring secrets. It does end on a cliffhanger!

I went into LA King already loving Fierce King, which made this a tough read for me personally because that series was my favorite from Sadie Kincaid. I completely respect that authors grow and evolve in their writing style, but I also really loved the original version and the feel it had.

The rewrite wasn’t bad at all, and you can definitely see the stronger, more polished writing throughout. One of the biggest differences for me was Alejandro’s character. In this version he feels much more level-headed and controlled. He’s still jealous, possessive, and ruthless, but he doesn’t have the same impulsive hot-headed energy that I loved so much in Fierce King. That chaotic edge was part of what made his character so memorable to me. Alana, on the other hand, felt much more similar to the original version, which I appreciated because I already loved her character and personality. For me, though, some of the charm and nostalgia I connected with in Fierce King felt different this time around. I found myself comparing the two versions a lot while reading.

Overall, I still enjoyed the story and I’ll always love these characters, but personally I preferred the original. Still a solid 4 stars for me.

This is the kind of story where every truth revealed feels like it breaks something open 🔥

LA King delivers a marriage built on lies, tension, and the slow combustion of two people who were never meant to understand each other.

A king who thinks he is locking down a stranger. A woman who believes she is trading her freedom for survival. Neither realizes they are stepping into a story already waiting to rewrite them.

What makes this revised version stand out is how much more human Alejandro feels. His inner world is clearer, more layered, and that shift changes everything. He is still intense and controlling, but no longer distant in the same way. You can see the logic behind the edges.

Alana’s journey is just as gripping as she pieces together fragments of her past while trying to survive a marriage that feels like a cage built on assumptions. The more she learns, the less anything feels certain, including who she can trust.

The relationship evolution is the real engine here. Built on misunderstanding, pressure, and proximity, it slowly turns into something more volatile and emotionally charged.

Action, tension, and sharp dialogue keep the pacing tight, while the emotional stakes keep climbing.

Omg, Alejandro the mouth he has can make a nun blush and clench some pearls. He’s ruthless, possessive, and will protect what is his! This was absolutely phenomenal and the cliffhanger this left off on!!! Holy, has me wanting for my next breath for it! Each time Sadie comes out with a book I wonder how it will top the last one and i don’t know how she does it, and this was no different!

“You’re dripping down my hand, Alana. You’re going to enjoy this. I’m going to make you come for me, even if you’re determined not to.”

“I have you wearing panties issues.” Unable to wait a second longer, I crush my lips to hers and kiss her fiercely.

“As if I don’t spend enough of my time fucking you or thinking about fucking you. Now I find out you’re a squirter. Jesus Christ, you’re going to be the fucking death of me.”

“You are lying to yourself, mi hijo. And while love will be your greatest weakness, it will also bring your greatest blessings.” He kisses my forehead. “Maybe you will understand when you have a child of your own.”

“But never with you. You are my beach house, Alana. You’re what makes me happy—here, or the beach, or anywhere else we may be. Wherever you are is where I am content.”

Alejandro is the ruthless and feared mafia king of Los Angeles.

When Alana’s father sells her into a marriage for his own gain, she’s forced to marry Alejandro and move into his world.

She never expects to fall for the man everyone sees as a monster, and Alejandro has no interest in love or settling down.

Their marriage is only meant to be for convenience… until it becomes something more.

Sadie never fails to drop a banger of a book. LA King is the start of new series, called LA Ruthless.

Alejandro is the classic villain we all love to hate. Dominant, incredibly powerful, and completely ruthless. But beneath that tough exterior, he has a surprisingly soft and caring side, especially when it comes to Alana.

She’s his one weakness, and he’d burn the world for her without a second thought—and leave someone else to deal with the aftermath.

I loved watching their relationship develope, and seeing Alejandro’s softer side made me love his character even more. I can’t wait for book two!

LA King is exactly what you would expect from a mafia romance. We've got arranged marriage, virgin fmc and a ruthless no strings attached mmc with a ton of money and influence.

The fmc, Alana, was super sweet and I felt like made the best of the situation she was put in. The mmc, Alejandro was of course a jerk to her until she cracked through his cold heart.

Naturally, these two resented each other and the marriage they were forced into together. While that was fun to see them bicker, the spice once they gave into their desire for each other was delicious. This book has so much spice and it is safe to say Alejandro knows how to please his woman in the bedroom. He definitely had some things to work on outside of it though. It was nice to see Alana change him for the better.

There's a decent plot but nothing too high stakes. I would recommend this if you were looking for a really spice mafia romance book that has a bit of mystery but mostly focuses on the couple.

That ending had me interested to see what is next.

Hear me out. When Sadie said she was revamping and relaunching the LA Ruthless series, I was so ready for a reread of Alejandro & Alana's story. But was I prepared for how undeniably HOT this was? These two are absolute fire, and I was here for every spicy morsel.

I love mafia romance, and add in an arranged marriage with a broody, slightly unhinged King of LA, and you will love the Montoyas. Alana was nothing like Alejandro expected, which I loved, and seeing him be completely thrown over who he thought he married was perfect to see.

These two were like magnets to each other, and after giving in to their desires, did the heat ever hit! We love a down bad MMC, and Alejandro didn't stand a chance with his fierce queen.

This brings all the mafia vibes, several red flags that we are so green for, and a cliffy that has me feral for the new, updated version of part two!

Thank you so much to Sadie for my early copy to read and review!

Sadie is the Queen of dark mafia romance and this newly released version doesn’t disappoint.

This newly released edition delivers everything readers love about her stories, danger, passion, emotional tension, and an unforgettable love story.

Alejandro, the ruthless kingpin of the LA mafia, and Alana, the woman forced into a marriage of convenience, start as two people bound by obligation. But what unfolds between them is an intense, addictive romance filled with undeniable chemistry and emotional vulnerability. Watching Alejandro, a man who never planned on loving anyone, slowly fall for Alana made their relationship even more compelling.

Packed with family drama, emotional conflict, power struggles, and the complicated journey toward finding real love, this story keeps you invested from beginning to end. The tension, passion, and character growth made this one of the standout books in Sadie’s series for me.

The book that started it all for me becoming a Sadie Kincaid fan. And like before I devoured this book. Did not want to put it down. Read half the book in one night and the other half the following. Definitely a one day read, if not for adulting. Not sure what all the changes were lol but I know nothing changed about my love for Alana and Alex. Though his panty obsession was odd to me in 2024, and still odd in 2026 🤣. But honestly nothing will make me hate Mr. Montoya.

Getting the chance to receive the ARC for LA King, allowed me to be nostalgic for the first time I read the LA Ruthless series. Can't wait to read the next three books, and renew my love for these couples all over again.

Despite this technically being a reread for me, the edits and extensions of the story made it seem like the first time. I never will truly get tried of reading Sadie Kincaid's books. And I definitely agree that this "new" version of the book matches her current writing style.

God I love this book!

LA King is a revised and extended story previously published as Fierce King.

It has the same beautiful characters and plot as before however some of the plot has been revised for the story to flow better and overall in enhance what was already an incredible book.

If you were obsessed with Fierce King and Alejandro and Alana as much as I was reading that story then those feelings will be exactly the same for LA King. I found the story and timelines to be overall better and it really is just an enhancement to the original story!

You'll still get the possessive alpha hole of Alejandro and the sweet and sassiness of Alana along with all the dirty things in between! Some of the stuff that's been taken out doesn't take away from the story or plot, it makes perfect sense and I for one can't wait for the revised addition of Fierce Queen that will be LA Reign! Roll on September is all I'll say 🖤

Oh I loved being back with Alana and Alejandro!! I haven’t read their story in some time so I felt like I was starting completely fresh with them, but I loved it so much. These two had such a complicated start to their relationship as they were in an arranged marriage orchestrated by Alana’s father who lied to the both of them. Seeing them navigate a marriage that essentially a business arrangement and eventual finding that they need each other was beautiful.

Poor Alana’s entire world changed and she thought Alejandro was going to be this terribly mean and nasty man who would treat her crappy and screw around with other women, but quickly found out that was not who he is and finds that she actually wants him to be around. And Alejandro got told some many things about Alana that he slowly found out were falsified and made him realize that he was deceived and the woman he thought would be the bane of his existence actually become the person who couldn’t live without.

This story left us on an intense point between the two of them and I cannot wait to see what happens next!!

Alejandro, Alejandro, Alejandro. I forgot how much I loved him.
🔥🔥🔥
If you like them possessive, obsessed, dominant, alpha, filthy mouthed, bilingual in Spanish, and just HOT overall... you have found it!
This new polished version made me love him even more.
Alana is just as sweet as I remembered... with her defiant side as well. She is so innocent but not naive. Love that she is so passionate in helping others and does so wholeheartedly. She will argue and fight in what she believes in and gives Alejandro a run for his money.
In an arranged marriage with no feelings and purely transactional... things turn steamy, feelings are caught, passion runs wild and hot. Fireworks explode in to beautiful bliss. Sheer perfection. Deliciously sweet and spicy.
Side characters are loved. Love me some Hugo (Alanas bodyguard) and Magda (house cook). They fill the story with even more love.
Color me obsessed with Alex and Alana!
Can't wait for some more of Lucy and her secrets!

This book is so freaking addictive, just like Alex is with Alana. Their relationship is anything but conventional, it was a marriage of convenience for Alana’s father. All he wanted was the money, and thought his daughter’s loyalty lies with him. Alana and Alex didn’t know anything about each other, till one night he thought she cheated on him, and they both finally gave in to the chemistry between them. Alex let his guard down with Alana, and she with him. They both never knew love before, and now they don’t want anyone else. Alana finally saw her father for who he is, and chose the right side to be on. Alex is afraid to let his guard down with anyone, but somehow Alana got under his skin. I couldn’t put this book down, I love it so freaking much. I cannot wait for the next one, after that cliffhanger. Omg.

LA King is an updated and extended version of Sadie Kincaid’s Fierce King. I read Fierce King when it was first published and it started my Sadie obsession. I enjoyed it and I loved Alana, but I didn’t love Alejandro. Now in this updated version I absolutely fell in love with “Alex”. You can also see how much Sadie has grown as a writer and how the characters have grown with her. Of course there was a cliffhanger but not one as jaw dropping as, say, her cliffy in The Auction (which was just chefs kiss). Just enough to make you want book 2 now!

The journey she takes is on with these characters are fantastic as we’ve come to expect from the author. I cannot wait for the next book, and then the next series. She has quickly become one of my top 3 authors. If Sadie writes it I’m preordering it and taking the day off from work on release day!

I can confidently say that Sadie never disappoints.
I devoured Alana and Alejandro's story! It was captivating and had me finishing it in one day!
This book had secrets, drama, betrayal, a bit of danger, and a few twists.
There were also lots feels, bits of humor, and all the spice you could want!

Alana is such a great FMC. She has a big heart, she smart, hardworking, and confident. Of she has some insecurities, but it only makes her more relatable.
I loved Alejandro. He definitely isn't perfect, but he loves and protects those he cares about. It was good to his his growth and the positive changes in him. His dirty mouth.. 🥵 The chemistry and steam between those two if off the charts hot!
I don't think the ending was bad. It definitely leaves us with questions though.
Now, I will try my best to be patient for the next book.

Just finished this book and can’t wait for book 2. I was not expecting it to end on a cliffhanger but it did and I can’t was to see what happens next. This book was so good I love a good arranged marriage trope. Alanna was convinced by her father to marry Alejandro and her father also lied to Alejandro about who Alanna truly was as a person. Alejandro never believed in falling in love, so the way Alanna was described he knew these 3 years of marriage would be easy. But as the time went by and he started spending time with her he realized that wasn’t true. Love how possessive, protective and obsessed he became from the beginning, which was something he was not expecting to happen. Love Alanna and the way that even though she thought she married a monster she had no problem speaking her mind. This book is definitely a must read

Thank you to Sadie Kincaid for the early access to this book in exchange for my honest review.

I really love pretty much every book Sadie has written, and this book was no different.
This book was so spicy and I would give it 4🌶️'s out of 5. However the connection that Alejandro and Alana end up having is so magnetic you can't help but rooting for them to fall in love, it actually seems inevitable really.
This having the FMC being a virgin was not cringe at all, and I felt was handled super well.
The book is also marketed as Enemies To Lovers, but its not really, it's more rivals to lovers or strangers to lovers. The MMC doesn't like her father, but he is ambivalent towards the FMC and so this really in't a true Enemies To Lovers...that being said the angst though is top tier.

Overall if you like a dark mafia romance with a strong FMC and a possessive MMC this one is definitely for you!

The very first book I ever read by Sadie Kincaid was LA King (formerly Fierce King) three years ago, and it was the book that completely made me fall in love with her writing. Getting to experience Alejandro and Alana’s story all over again through this rewrite was honestly amazing.

The chemistry between these two is absolutely off the charts, and somehow Sadie managed to make me fall for them even harder the second time around. The tension, the emotion, the obsession… everything about this story just works.

I am already desperate for LA Queen because I need more of these characters immediately. I honestly cannot wait to see how she makes the next book even better!

Arranged marriage ✅ Inexperienced FMC ✅ Dominant MMC✅ Touch her and ☠️ ✅ Mafia ✅

Oh my 🥵 Alejandro is the definition is sizzling hot! When the punishment is worth acting out for you know it’s good. Alana is such an amazing woman in her own right and not at all the princess you’re expecting.

As easy as it is to get lost in the deliciously spicy scenes there is a storyline that’s just as engaging. When this ended on a cliffhanger I was hooked! I mean devastated also because I need to know what comes next!

If you like a man that has no qualms about doing what has to be done….but also can’t stand to be away from the woman that he can’t resist….you’re gonna love Alejandro 💕

Getting to revisit Fierce King in its rewritten form was such a an amazing experience. To see how much growth, detail, and heart was poured into this rewrite made me appreciate it even more. The emotions hit harder, the characters felt even more developed, and the story flowed so naturally from beginning to end. You can really tell how much love and effort went into reimagining this book, and I loved getting the chance to experience this new version. Fierce King was one of the first smutty books I had ever read so getting to see so much more character development in this rewrite has allowed that feeling of unresolved yearning to go away. I cannot wait for the rest of the series.

This book has made me fall in love all over again with the King of LA. Alejandro Montoya is everything you want in a man and husband and I cannot wait for the second book.

Sadie Kincaid did an excellent job writing this book and I absolutely loved their story. It reminded me why I fell for him in the first place and he will continue to be number one in my list of book husbands.

When this book first came out I rated it a five star and if I could I would give this book a million starts because it’s perfect. So if you enjoy dark romance, touch her and die vibes, mafia, dirty talking, and a possessive MC this book is for you.

LA King by Sadie Kincaid is definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
