You may want to stand back in amazement but there was just way too much sex.

Vaughan is totally overtaken with either doing or thinking about sex that he is rendered incapable of any type of conversation not including the before mentioned sex. Bum sex, oral sex, wet sex, sexy sex he wants it all and he wants it now.

Have you ever played that drinking game where you have to take a drink when a specific phrase is mentioned ? Well with this book that specific phrase was TO THE HILT , i was hammered by book 2!

You could also included in this game the phrases "full 9 inches" , "wet juicy pussy" but you would need medical attention for alcohol poisoning. It was all a bit repetitive.

I've read a really good Roxy Sloane book (which was written after this one) and i know she has a filthy mouth thats absolutely not a problem, but the C bomb was used so much and used with a kind of semi aggression (only semi Vaughan ever had phnar phnar) , Because no real dialogue was made between the characters apart from sext talk it all felt too much. I don't think Keeley even knew Vaughans whole name or much else about him (9 inches, she knew he had nine inches because he told her that enough).

I know you have to disengage with reality with erotica books (or maybe it's just me!) but the whole "i'm going to give it to you and there is nothing you can do about it" got on my nerves. For example [SPOILER] Keeley is attending her first ever business gala as CEO, needing to make a good impression and what happens, Vaughny boy pushes her over the balcony impaled on his todger (of course to the hilt) in full public view. How to make a good impression. Keeley is totally balwed over by this, not a problem in the world. Okey dokey. {end spoiler} I would have chopped his nadgers off with a rusty knife for that. Can't the man wait...

I have the feeling i am being overly harsh on this book, it wasn't terrible, i mean i read all 4 of them. Keeley was just a giant pussy though, could she say no to anyone?

Would have made a difference if just for once all attempts at conversation didn't end in sex.

Maybe Vaughan needs to chill

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS!!

Part 1
Yeah i'm a sucker for a dirty talker. So far Keely isn't too stupid. Vaughn is very much an alpha dom dirty talker but his single minded focus on sex is kinda off putting and the fact that Keely eats that shit up is a touch wtf. I get that she's a sex deprived almost virgin, but c'mon. a total stranger tells you he wants to fuck you and you give a few half assed weak no no nos and then the next thing we know you are giving him a handjob in the bathroom at a museum. There were things that happened that seemed off and only added in because the author thought it would be cool for them to have sex there. (the museum bathroom, the law library, etc...) I hope their relationship evolves to include other dimensions other than dirty kinky sex.

Part 2

So it looks like Vaughn is still obsessed with nothing but sex. Keely is just stupid. So..... this part had some revelations. There still isn't anything between Keely and Vaughn but blind lust and a megga-shit-ton of 3rd base sex. Based on what we are told in the story, she has no idea what his full name is, no idea how old he is, no idea what he does for a living, and no idea he does nothing but think about his cock in her mouth. Oh and how bad he wants to make her come her brains out. I'm SOOOOOOO fucking sick of that phrase. The cliffy ending played out like a very bad soap opera. Oh yeah I'm in for some long haul fuckery with this one. On to part 3...

Part 3

SEVEN FUCKING MINUTES INTO PART 3 and we already get hit with "come your brains out". STAAAAPPPPPP!!!!!! Ok Vaughn's dialogue is 90% sex talk 95% of his inner monologue is thinking about sex. I swear I don't think they've had an actual conversation. Oh and him .

Ok I rarely ever say this and I know this is erotica but shit. There IS a such thing as too much sex in a book. It annoys me to no end that Keely won't say no to him and lets him fuck her anywhere at anytime.

Brent?? Oh he's a grade a douche.

Part 4
Ok it only took three chapters and 9 minutes for Keely to "come her brains out". I almost wanna go back to the first two parts to see where it first showed up but ya'know I'm not that masochistic. But we do have another phrase in the mix. Vaughn has described Keely as "magical" on a few occasions. her pussy is magical, she is magical, her body is magical. blah blah blah, i'm waiting for him to notice the golden fairy dust spilling out of her as she walks down the street. He is also going off the reservation by the constant comparisons to her peachy globes or her peach shaped ass. To catch you up in the last part Keely finds out that Brent paid Vaughn to fuck her and about his connection to old man ashcroft. they break up and someone tries to kill her. Now in the beginning of part 4 he is groveling and of course she takes him back after a spectacular dicking. In this part we see a whole new Keely. She is a corporate powerhouse and a sexual equal to Vaughn. It would have been nice to see the transition. it's like who is this person. Vaughn is still all about sex and his 9 inch cock. It's true, he doesn't let us forget how wet and tight Keely's snatch is or how big his junk is. MULTIPLE TIMES. And seriously these two are nymphos. They are reckless with it at times. oh and Vaughn is a special kind of dude. I think he likes the taste of his cum as much as Keely does.

The mystery is actually pretty interesting but the story would be so much better if the characters actually had conversation not pertaining to sex or the ashcroft issue.

I've got an hour and some change left and the impossible has happened. This book has entirely too much sex. i'm so sick of hearing about how big his cock is and how magically tight and wet her pussy is. So over this book. At this point i just wanna know what happens with the company and with brent. for such a high profile ceo she and vaughn are fucking their way across manhattan. #OverIt

45mins left...........

DONE!!!

OK so we found out what happened and and everyone lived happily ever after. If I got this book one at a time I would be PISSED. The cliffhangers weren't really needed. The book was a full book just chopped into novellas. Not my job to advise authors how to make their money and build their base but if you are gonna do this novel chop bullshit then you need to make sure your story is ROCK SOLID. I think this author has potential to be a fantastic writer but she's just not there yet. The characters were all 1 dimentional. They all were what you thought they were at their first impression. None of the characters grew and most were either unlikeable or just meh.

Story - 2 it was ok, just ok. could have been better, the freaky nympho bunny fucking actually killed the book because there was something sexual happening in damn near every chapter or every other chapter. way too much and i ended up ignoring most of it. even the built up anal scene was a flop by the time it happened. I was just so sick of hearing about her tight virgin ass and his 9 inch cock. by the time it happened the wet panties were bone dry. you can have too much of a good thing. Just saying.

Narrators - the narrators were ok. There were times when they were over the top and times where they were perfect. I think they will be really good if given enough practice and some good material. The guy's voice could have been a bit deeper, but that's just my preference. At first i wanted to hear Sebastian York, but even with his dreamy voice i'd get sick of all the gratuitous sex.

4 stars!

Meet your G-spot, baby. Now my dick is going to give you a VIP tour.

This book was probably 80% sex, and I was totally okay with that. Because, believe it or not, the plot actually made sense, even it was only a quarter of the book. It wasn't overly complicated or far-fetched, but it was exciting enough where I was interested in all the key players. Also, there was a twist towards the end that I totally didn't see coming, which impressed me all things considered. So, a kinky, sexy book with an over-the-top alpha AND a suspenseful plot? Really, I don't need much more than that to be happy!

It’s the same bullshit line I give all the women, like I want nothing more than to make this random fuck into something meaningful – and they’re the ones keeping us apart. But the truth is, sex is always a lie. I learned that the hard way a long time ago, and this is my payment for ever caring. Caring is not worth the pain. So I changed. I became who I am today. A fucking machine.

Vaughn is an asshole. He knows he is, and he doesn't really care. In fact, his job is to seduce women, usually for nefarious reasons- a husband wanting out of a prenup, a man wanting to know if his fiancee is just a gold-digger, etc. (Honestly, the idea of a girl buying a fuck for her friend that badly needs one actually made me think he was doing a public service, but I digress). Vaughn has secrets and a sad past, but any sympathy for him flies out the window when you realize the wreckage he leaves in his wake these days. I didn't buy his "sob story," but that doesn't mean I cared all that much about his integrity. The man's dirty talk was on point, and I couldn't blame Keely for wanting to ride that dick like a roller coaster. In fact, she held out longer than I expected. He hasn't been redeemed yet in my eyes, but I also don't know if it's really necessary. I'm not the one making the decisions, after all. I'm just reading their story!

For years it’s felt like I’ve been locked in a prison of numbness, ever since my parents died. Nothing breaks through, nothing affects me. But with one brief encounter, this man has pierced my defenses. I’m reeling from his touch, his words.

Keely Fawes works as a paralegal at a high-end law firm, and she also has an awesome lawyer friend named Justine whom I adored. When Keely develops a relationship with a dying client who is there to draft his will, crazy things start to happen, and this is indirectly how Vaughn bulldozes into her life. To be honest, I really liked Keely. I related to her and I felt bad for her. I wanted her to fight back against the evil men in her life. Honestly, Vaughn wasn't the worst of them, which is probably why I was okay with their constant fucking. She needed the distraction, and dick isn't the worst coping mechanism in the world. I would know; I've tried them all. To me, she wasn't just another dickglamoured woman. She had a lot of recent stress in her life, so I understood her desire to be controlled and dominated by someone else, if only for a period of time. In the wise words of Vaughn, She’s probably never had a real man in her life; never felt a dick slide so deep she sees God.

Of course, the story ended on a cliffhanger. Honestly, the real bomb was dropped a chapter or two before the end, and I imagine the continuation will center around that. As long as I get more of Vaughn's filthy mouth and their hot sexy times, I'm in. In other words, I will definitely continue the series at some point in time, probably when I'm in the mood for some brainless sex with a simple but intriguing plot.

Just tonight, I’ll be wanton, reckless. Just tonight, I’ll discover what it’s like to let someone else take control and live life on the edge.

Keely rolls over and lifts herself up on her elbows. Her hair is mussed, her cheeks are pink. But the way she looks at me... Hell, I feel it everywhere.

“You like it when I fill you up, don’t you?” he murmurs, watching me. “Your wet little mouth. Your tight dripping cunt...” A wicked smile spreads across his mouth. He slides his thumb deeper, forcing me to suck as he leans to whisper in my ear. “Has your ass been lonely without me?”

**Review contains minor spoilers*

Vaughn had such a dirty mouth and it was so hot! If there was anything that I absolutely loved about this book it was definitely the filthy things that poured from Vaughn's mouth. He could get me all hot and bothered with one sentence, he's very skilled. He was such a conflicted character, he had this vendetta that he wanted to see to fruition but he was also hesitant because of his budding relationship with Keely. It was a little exhausting to keep track of whether he was going ahead with his plan, helping Keely, sitting back to let Brent destroy her or if he was just walking away completely.

I struggled with Keely's character a bit because she kept taking Vaughn back!! After the first book when she overheard that counversation of his and then she took him back after he gave some half-assed excuse! It was so frustrating. And then she did the same thing after she finds out that he was hired to sleep with her. Aside from her relationship with Vaughn, I really liked how determined she was to succeed with the business she was handed. It would have been so much easier for her to defer to Brent or someone else who was more familiar with the business but she made a concerted effort to learn as much as she could about the business so she could truly run the company.

The coincidental family connections between Keely and Vaughn were VERY coincidental but the drama that added to the story was interspersed enough to contribute to the flow and plot development without overtaking the smutty goodness.

I thought the story was constructed well and I would suggest this to lovers of dirty talk! I will definitely be checking out other books from this author.

I'm 25% into this book and I'm struggling.

Vaughn is coming off as an alpha-douche PUA bro. Keeley is somehow eating that shit up🤢🤮

And it's already clear that Brent (a wealthy clients son) is the asshole who hire Vaughn to get dirt on Keeley.

Update- I made it to chapter 13 and gave up.

I think Vaughn is supposed to come off as dominant, but he's just a crass petulant child in an adult body. Keeley is so naive it hurts.

Seduction is a poor title for this book because none of that happens anywhere, at list in the first 12 chapters

I like a plot interspersed with my erotica and unfortunately this was heavy on sex and light on what could have been a really good story. I understand the need to suspend disbelief when reading fiction, but the holes in the plot for The Seduction series were difficult to ignore. Almost as difficult to ignore as the repeated references to the Seducer's 9 inches.

This had the potential to be a 5 star standalone story.

Wasted words

One of the worst books I have read in a long time. This is not a romance. This is a sexual predator and an abuser of a totally weak minded airhead woman story. I skipped through chapters because it was all the same. What a waste of time. Neither character has any redeeming quality.

This is a very hot steamy dominating read.
Vaughn is intense, but Keely can't resist anything about him.
Once secrets were revealed however, hearts are torn apart and doubts are raised questioning everything they both thought they knew.
Great hot read

This guy is the worst

I don't know how any woman can read this and like this guy. He's a misogynist, he's conceited, a total jerk. He has no redeemable qualities. He's just the worst!

This book was an easy read. That is a positive. And the sex scenes were very vivid, there was a LOT of sex and desire for sex in this book. That seemed to be the riding theme. Sex as a sport, sex as manipulation, sex as rebellion, sex as release.

I understand this book is a series, but I think this book 1 doesn't give enough information about the characters beyond their desire to have a lot of sex. Vaughn's character is portrayed as alluring, sensual, dark, and dominant. You would expect to have some empathy or understanding about the hard shell the character's have that make them who they are today. There is not enough shared about Vaughn that is redeemable and make him likeable ENOUGH to want to continue reading additional books in the series. He seems like this sex-crazed and sexually dominant man that only thrives off making any woman submissive at any cost (manipulation, complete control, coercion). He gave off some non-consensual and rapey vibes. And he's an grade A asshole because all of his connection to women is only seen from a sexual point of view.

Keely, the female protagonist is portrayed as reserved, hard working, and with a few dreams that appear hard to achieve. Yet she manifests flirtation and defiance when interaction with Vaughn. That's about all the character development that exists for her. I feel like the author was attempting to do the "cat and mouse" between the two characters and get a similar tension that is tied to dom/submission. But it is not believable that she will fawn over Vaughn sexually and confide in him about all of those big life events when Vaughn doesn't even have a last name and doesn't at least ATTEMPT to share any private information. In this way, Keely's character is presented as a woman who is seeking rebellion and risk at any cost.

There are a lot of other implausible things about the plot (revenge sex for hire) that don't make a lick of sense to me. Keely and Vaughn had a pretty public dalliance (visiting at each other's houses, dinner at a fine restaurant) and if Keely's was truly being targeted than any PI could easily build evidence that she was having an inappropriate client relationship.

Other stuff: Some typos or misuse of words (your v. you're). The overuse of the phrase "pupils were dilated" as a way to describe arousal - It really doesn't help the reader if that is the main indication.

1.5 Stars and that's generous

I don't remember who recommended this to me but we should probably not be friends anymore.

Vaughn is actually the worst. Like predatory and creepy. Major ick. He views women as objects and goes around sticking his dick in anyone. He also runs a business where he seduces women and takes pics of them for blackmail.

Keely is an idiot. I hope she doesn't become a lawyer. She literally overhears him on the phone when he's telling his client that he's about to get with her and she somehow still keeps coming back to him. She's scared for her reputation and doesn't want her former workplace to find out she's sleeping with a client yet constantly is touching him in public?

Ick.

4 Stars from Sammy's Book Obsession!
I really enjoyed all four parts of The Seduction. It kept my attention and had me starting the next book immediately after finishing the one before it.
Author Roxy Sloane did a very good job writing The Seduction. I really liked the characters. I found them interesting -particularly the male lead. My only problem was that I didn't feel as though the author let us get to know them quite well enough. I think there could have been more depth there and with that, the characters may have gotten to know each other better as well.
I loved the story line. Although it was somewhat common in the "corporate world", there are exciting twists and turns that keep your attention from the beginning of the first book through the end of the last.
This was my first time reading any work by Roxy Sloane. I can honestly say that I won't hesitate to take the chance to read more!

Holy-dirty-talk-hotness! I mean, seriously, Vaughn has the dirtiest mouth and I loved every word of it. One very important thing to note before you start this "series" is that it is in fact one book broke up in to separate pieces. If you start it, be prepared to read the "collection" so you're not pissed off that you have to buy multiple books.

I enjoyed the mystery and suspense of the story line. Vaughn is a hired seducer....think cheating wife and the husband needs proof to blackmail or take her down type of thing. Vaughn's your man. But someone wants to take down Keely and Vaughn's on the case. But can he take her down? Keely is a paralegal and a client ends up dropping a bombshell on her.....that Vaughn happens to be entangled in as well.

When I first read about this book it sounded really good

When I first caught eyes on this book I thought it sounded really interesting the characters sound setup clearly Vaughan it seemed to me that was just a little too cold in the way that he tried to control Kaylee and I like dark erotic sex but it just seemed a little I don't know forced and I love force in a book don't get me wrong I just couldn't go there but I am looking forward to it the characters were wonderful Cillian Vaughn it was just a little too cold and hearts with his commands I'm looking forward to the second book though so three stars

I picked up this novella for free from another author that I follow. I expected a quick read of a teeth-clenching, trope abusing filled romance that I could blow through in an hour or so. What I did not expect was an engaging story about a tortured asshole of gigolo with a dark past and a woman way out of her element. There is a lot of romance in the story, but there is also enough suspense, and wonder to keep me interested. I expected the story to follow the usual romance story arc, but did not expect an almost detective and mystery story mixed with enough of "who dunnit" to keep me engaged. I definitely want to read the whole series as this book ends on a cliff hanger.

The book was 75% sex and 25% story. I enjoy books with more storyline. All Vaughn talked about is his (beep) this and his ( beep) that. When he wasn't talking about his (beep) he was using it. The story had very limited storyline. The storyline that it did have was very predictable. I knew from the beginning who sent Vaughn Keely's way. With all that being said I more than likely will read the next story to see what happens between Vaughn and Keely. I found myself skipping a few paragraphs of sex to get to the actual story. If you are looking for a porn book with limit storyline then this is the book for you.

Not what I expected

I’m not usually one to shy away from explicit language or sex in a book, if it is for a purpose. This book had an abundance that actually took away from the story. I have to say it got boring. I felt like I had to get past the over the top sexual aggression to get to the plot. Which is a pity because the story that’s under all the attempts to shock is good. It was a good thing this was free, I’m just going to have to come to my own conclusion on how the story ends as I can’t pay for the last two installments of this story when I’m going to have to flip past the excessive “sex”.

I had some really big issues with the narrators in this audiobook; it made it really hard for me to get into the story. The H’s voice was too high; he didn’t fit my idea of what this masculine, confident, alpha male should sound like. Conversely, I found the h’s voice to be too deep and sounded middle-aged (which this character was not). It also drove me bonkers how slow she spoke; she would pause for like 2 whole seconds between. Every. Single. Sentence. It’s a 12-hour audiobook that would probably have only been 9-hours, if read by a different narrator. Ultimately, this is what caused me to DNF the audiobook. I couldn’t freaking take all of the sentence pausing.

What did I just read

This isn't my normal genre so I feel like leaving a review might be a bit hypocritical. If I could give it one star I would but I can't since I dont normally read this and know if this is normal? The main character Vaughn had no redeeming qualities. All the way to the end of the book he was still a dick. And the female lead character, have a little self respect and if you want to be talked to like that in the bedroom okay, but all the time, I can't get behind that. I have a thing where ibreqlly feel the need to finish a book, I have never been so happy to be done. No more of that for me.

More Mommy Porn and not quality porn. Completely disappointing as it has NO conclusion

There is a reason you can get this book for free. It's incomplete and you must BUY the rest of the story after encountering the "to be continued" at the end . . .

A lot of mistakes such as after stopping at a red light, ". . . he shifted into drive and sped off." Ever shift OUT of drive waiting at a traffic light?

The story line was nearly plausible and the sex wasn't.

Don't waste your time even if you can get it for free.

Wow hot steamy and a twist

This is the first book I have read from this author and what a story. Full of hot steamy passion with a few twists. Keely is a paralegal who wants to become a lawyer but cannot afford it at the moment. Vaughan is a man who gets what he wants he cannot commit to a woman but he has no problem having hot sex and moving on to the next. Keely has become his next target but she isn't so easy to fall fir his charms that only makes him want her more. Highly recommend looking forward to next book

Great spice, but...

It was kinda disappointing, but I guess I should have known, when the promo said "if you like 50 shades of grey".

The male MC are just way to much. We get it, you fuck 🙄 And the female MC is boring and reeks of "🥺🥺"-energy.

The plot is good and it's making me buy the second book. But I don't think I'll buy the third because this plotline ends in book second.

And as an non-American I can't stand the law-plot. I hate the American judicial system, but I'll guess that on me bacause I chose a book with that storyline.

Roxy Sloan, I give your book an F-! Cannot believe both your twisted caricature of Vaughn, his attitude toward women and his inappropriate exaggerated language; Even your English grammar is flawed.
The story is creative but only flimsy window dressing for the sexuality which presumably will sell the book to women who want to be inappropriately dominated! You also need an anatomy lesson: A penis has absolutely no "muscles" in it!
Lastly, you cheat by not concluding the story in order to sell the next book.

Was Barely Ok

If you want a book that has lots of graphic dom/sub-ish style scenes - this is a book you'll enjoy (this is a fairly graphic book, so if that's not your thing don't read it). But honestly it has a weak plot, the characters are pretty predictable (if not obnoxious), and needed some more editing (a few issues of consistency). I wanted to like it more, but felt it was trying too hard without really trying. Do not see myself reading anymore books in the series.

The Seduction Fell Flat

I like Roxy Sloane. I loved Explicit, but as much as I
liked Explicit, I loathed The Seduction. All the males were disgusting pigs, including the so pretty,
rotten Vaughn. He was a pig. Keeley could have done better than the crappy men in her life with a blow-up doll. Gutter language and an 8 inch tool does not equate as a man. Such a disappointment!! The book was not up to Roxy Sloane 's usual high quality.

This was okay for me, but nothing great. First of all, neither character was very appealing to me. Neither was written in any particular depth, and both abandoned what looked to be core principles and beliefs at the drop of a hat. The plot line was okay too, but there were missed opportunities to make it a better story. Things just dropped out of the plot, never to reappear. Lots of steamy sex, with dirty talk that sounded like the audio from porn - if that’s what you’re looking for, okay.

This was another re read for me. Read this year's ago and Ioved it. So I re read and although I didn't give this a 5 stats for me the second time around. I still enjoyed this book. There's some plot and the spicy scenes were good. He's super cocky and comes off arrogant. If you can get passed that then your good. This is a 8 book series. So I will continue to the 2nd book.

Well, this was a surprise. What I thought I was getting was the three book set, with 432 pages. What I actually got was Book One with 184 pages. So I will say I am very disappointed. I loved the book, itself, but was so annoyed to find the rest of the 432 pages wasn't there. Now, I am not sure if I want to continue. There are so many other authors out there, and this one was a new one for me. That said, there is a great plot, yet to be uncovered and at least a couple of very interesting subplots. I am just so disappointed!

Its an okay read 📚

So I tend to read just about anything romance. This book was... something lol. It kept me interested but it also kept me going uh okay wtf. The MMC was very forward and forceful, which dont get me wrong is nice when done right, but this felt off. Idk thats just my opinion. I will read the second book and maybe my thoughts will change 🙂. All in all i don't feel like I wasted time reading.
