I haven't even started this book yet, and I already know I'm going to have issues with it. The blurb contradicts itself. Was she banished or imprisoned? I hate blurbs thatbare just wrong.
In the book there are many inconsistencies.
Things don't add up. I thought she was 8 months pregnant, then it is 6. He supposedly killed his father at 16, later it was 14. Then he wasn't made king until after he rejected her? Why the gap?
The note left had 5 words, but it said there were 4.
What did the author and (haha) editor have against contractions? Sure, there were some, but the language felt very stilted all over the place without the.
This book started in the middle, at the wedding. I was not expecting that. We didn't get any of the buildup to their relationship, so the rejection didn't feel as dire. This book was missing a lot of the emotional connection i love to get from books. That is, until she had the baby. I swear I was crying through the rest of the book from there.
That is the emotions i want to feel throughout. I'm glad they were there, though, which is why I'm giving this book an extra star.
Rejected, Left to Die Pregnant by the Lycan King. I mean, this book is steamy and angsty AF. No spoilers from me. I laughed, cringed, and raged at my Kindle. You will cry cause, baby, the drama is a level 10 from beginning to end. Read on people read on!
