Starborn #3

Starborn: Concord

Rate this book
The war for Earth has begun.
Adrian Morgan has seized control of Earth, and he will burn everything before he lets it be taken from him. The other Praetors want him dead. Tiberion is pursuing a secret endgame of his own. And in the chaos between them, billions of lives hang in the balance.

Now at last in Concord, Aldric Vaelor and his allies are thrust into a galaxy of impossible technology, alien cultures, and dangerous political agendas. For Lena Hart, Elliot, Gina, and the others, the wonder is real—but so is the shock of discovering a galaxy that should have been their birthright.

As fleets gather and worlds collide, Aldric is forced into a final reckoning with the bloodline and the legacy he himself forged. To stop Caius, he may have to become the very man he swore he would never be again.

Lena is determined to save him, but Aldric’s past is closing in, and judgment is inevitable. If he cannot face what he has done, everything could be lost—not only for them, but for countless others. Many in Concord want no part of a costly war or the burden of billions of new citizens on the far side of the galaxy.

Yet the war for Earth has already begun.

And if Caius cannot keep the planet, he will make sure no one can.

Concord is the stunning conclusion to the epic new trilogy by Jasper T. Scott.

Also coming soon for Audio, performed by award-winning narrator Jonathan Davis (Star Wars, Halo).

This series has been great, and even steps up in this third book. The action doesn't stop, as characters are running across the galaxy to evade death and overturn totalitarian rule of earth.
The lead, Aldric, struggled with who he is: bloodthirsty warlord who controlled a planet (and killed anyone in his way) or remorseful person looking out for humanity?
I can't say enough about the worldbuilding: secret societies and shadow governments, robots (and aliens) among us, and tech we can only imagine.

Aldric Vale, high Praetor of Earth for a millennia, wants to make Concord know of Earth's existence.

First he has to free Earth from the clutches of his son. Lena is the Earth woman he is in love with and she fights at his side along with Nexara, Aldric's android robot. Their plan is to defeat his son's considerable forces on the planet and on the Moon. It's going to be a helluva fight with no guarantee of success.
Great storyline, amazing characters and a ton of action make this final story in the series a terrific read!

twists, turns , action

A dramatic, spine tingling, final book in the series.
This finale had loads of twists, surprises and hooray moments which kept me guessing what the next one might be right up until the end.

So much plotting and action as plans that had been quietly bubbling under the surface were sprung.

Jasper Scott pulled more than one rabbit out of the hat with this fabulous trilogy.

This is the third book in this series and I loved it as much as the other two. What I really like about Jasper T Scott is that he always give a synopsis for the previous books. This way it refreshes my memory if I have read the previous books some time ago.

This is a well written series. I enjoyed the story.

This may have been my least favorite of the trilogy. Since the main character had his memory restored, he didn't act so....heroic. However, the main female character who was a bit of a wimp in the first book, REALLY stepped up and became the heroine! I loved that!
A good trilogy. Almost makes me want there to be a #4 to bring back the main guy as a truly good guy.

Mr. Scott developed a highly intricate and entertaining story arc carefully divided over the three "Starborn" books. It hooks the reader from the first book. The protagonists are relatable - human and flawed. "Starborn Concord" is a stunning and unexpected conclusion all the way to the last page.

4.5 stars. Good conclusion. The final showdowns between the MCs and the hidden alien/human cabal occur. As with the first two books, there is lots of action and plot twists. The conclusion was good.

An entertaining swashbuckler of a tale!

Starborn has all the components of a pirate tale - from the independent, struggling ship owner to the revealed former royal Lord that still has ties to the future of his world. Definitely a must read tale.

I have followed/read Mr. Scott for a number of years. I must say his current Starborn works are among his best work.

Immortal and changing....

The characters change as they interact with earthlings. Change with challenge is not for the weak. Terrific story and characters.

Earth 2.0

Aldric and Lena are still on the run and thier group continues to diminish thanks to Caius and his bounty hunter. They must make it to Concord in order to save Earth and usher in a new era but Caius and his hunter are always one step ahead. Aldric needs to out smart him but even so, making it to Concord doesn’t guarantee his safety.
