Camila Saunders is in Ireland for one to sell the pub she inherited from her absentee father. But she's about to have a fight on her hands - a real one. When she finds an illegal bareknuckle boxing ring in the pub's basement, Camila realizes she's got to shut it down before she can sell the place. But standing squarely in her way is prizefighter Bronny 200 pounds of pedigree muscle, danger and Irish wit. Bronny Dolan is a lawyer, not that his family cares about that--they're all about the next boxing match. The Dolan name means victory and they're not about to let him forget it. But when loudmouthed Jersey girl Camila inherits the local and threatens the town's generations-old traditions, Bronny will have to face his toughest fight yet. Will Bronny help Camila sell the pub and go back to the States--or will he sabotage her freedom for the sake of his own heart?Either way, this Middle-of-Nowhere Irish town is about to see the biggest fight of its history, and this time, it's winner takes all.

Interested in a fun, light and breezy read? Her readers recommend you start with 'The Billionaire's Hotline'.
The first book I read by this author 'The Billionaires Hotline' completely blew me away, it was fabulous and funny, hilarious actually and while I enjoyed 'A Matter of Taste' and 'The Doctor's Damsel' they didn't have the extra spark of 'Hotline' so rightly or wrongly I forgot about this author for awhile but then I spotted the cover for 'Fight' the first of the Dolan books so of course I had to read and I loved it. In this the third book in this series, yes third, I'm not sure how but I've somehow missed the second book I'll have to check that out, anyway in this book Camila inherits a run-down pub in Ireland which is used for bareknuckle boxing fights, not only does Camila hate fighting but all she wants to do is sell the pub and move back to Jersey and get on with her life, but selling a pub used for fighting is not easy. Bronny Dolan maybe a lawyer but he's a Dolan and therefore a fighter and that is all his family cares about, but Camila doesn't seem to be falling for his charm which is unusual, he's used to girls throwing themselves at him. Between Camila being desperate to sell the pub but yet very attracted to Bronny, the Dolan's as a family hate anything foreign and don't have a nice word to say about Camila, Bronny being attracted to Camila despite his family's very outspoken objections and of course the fighting, it's in Bronny blood but Camila hates it, can these two conquer everything and make it work between them? I settled into this book early and enjoyed it, Camila was fabulous, spunky and outspoken, Bronny was hot and so much more than the fighter his family wants, while this wasn't as hilarious as 'Hotline' it's still an amusing entertaining read. I don't generally quote from books although I've noticed it's something I seem to do with this author, the quote is Camila taking to her real estate agent, who also happens to be a Dolan. "....these fights are important to the families in these little towns. They bring people together, like any sport." "I'm sure it's a total Hallmark moment when little Johnny gets his adult teeth knocked out for the first time...." I loved Camila she's smart and doesn't have a single TSTL moment, why then only 3 stars, the book was moving along well and I was enjoying it but then, well it seemed to rush and one of the characters acted, for me anyway out of character and then it ended at 90%, earlier than I expected and earlier than I wanted and if I'm being honest it spoilt it for me.
This was a good book, I really like the story of Camila and Bronny. He's stuck in a family that only accepts you if your a great fighter. They live on family pride. Bronny is a great lawyer and really doesn't want to have to carry the burden of the family name any longer. Camila's absentee father just died in Ireland and left her a pub. She flies from Jersey to Ireland and takes over with the intention to sell it and return home. Then she meets Bronny. It's rough start as she hates fighting due to a tragic event from the past and Bronny is part of her father's underground fight ring. Bronny's family dislikes Camila and calls her horrible names and forbids Bronny to see her. He ignores them and love blossoms. I love the story, hate Bronny's family, and it was too short. The end was a non ending. I mean it's a HFN but it just cuts off. We needed an epilogue or something.
Great read. I thought the writer did a great job with this book, but could have even added to the end, although it did end well. A lot to do with family and where you stand in the view of family members. Sometimes you have to stand up alone, and for yourself.
Stuck between a 3 and a 4 for this. I enjoyed it, but felt it needed a bit more. Yes, she sold a ton of food on fight night, but was she ever able to make a real go of it. Was she ever accepted? My biggest pet peeve- no epilogue. Give me an epilogue!
