I was born and raised in Kansas City, MO where I grew up with four older brothers. I now reside in Overland Park, Kansas. I'd always loved to write as a child. My teachers would call home not because I was in trouble but because I had a creative imagination and they wanted my parents to know about the crazy stories I was writing. I've always been a hard worker. I started working with my family's company when I was 15 and still haven't stopped. I am a wife, mother of two, hold down a full time job and am now trying to be a indie author. I have a passion for reading and before I started writing I could be found with a Kindle in my hand morning, noon and night. I'm a picky reader so it's hard to please me but I feel like I have a keen eye for a good book.

I hope you all will join me on my new journey as I release my first book Fearless Love. It can be very scary but with my passion for the written word I hope it will be well worth it.

This was bad on so many levels

I hate to say this but it's true. This book really didn't have any good qualities. The character development is weak. The relationship is a joke. The sex scenes are too numerous and the language too crude to be sexy. I read a lot of erotica, I'm A-OK with dirty talk but this was distasteful. The only real connection they have in their relationship is sex. It demeans the emotional growth of their relationship. It's all so unbelievable anyway. This title is seriously lacking proper character growth plot development.

I write this to help potential readers. Most of the reviews posted are gushing profusely I can't believe we've read the same book.

I was gifted a copy of this book for review.
I love Kennedy Kelly! She has a unique writing style that grabs your attention and definitely hold it throughout the story. He characters are well written and easy to fall for. Oh and let's not forgot the flair for writing some smoking hot scenes.
Drayke may be a movie star but that doesn't impress Sachi because well she "doesn't do stars" . This book is fun and extremely enjoyable. I highly recommend giving this book a read.

I was given the opportunity to read Stars In Her Eyes before it was released in exchange for a review. Kennedy Kelly is an awesome author and this book was hot, hot, hot! It catches you from the beginning and doesn’t slow down until the last page.
Sachi Waters has no idea what’s in store for her when she attends a red carpet event with her best friend Cherry. Her friend is more of the “fan girl” than she is so she wasn’t impressed with all the glitz and glamour. She was only there to appease Cherry who was dying to get a glimpse of Drayke Sloan….big time movie star. What she didn’t realize was her reaction to Drayke once she laid her eyes on him. He was all kinds of sexy.
What Sachi also didn’t realize was Drayke’s reaction to her when she didn’t fall out at his feet. So when he requested to spend time with her she assumed she would be another notch on his bed post. Would she be? Or would she be different? Well……read the book!
Kennedy Kelly is a gem and I am so glad I came across her work. I have loved being a part of her team and look forward to many, many more successes. She knows how to tell a story and you can see from her writing that she has spent a lot of time with the character’s development.
Kennedy, you are so talented and creative! Don’t ever stop entertaining us with your words!

Stars in her Eyes is the first book I've read by Kennedy Kelly, and I loved it. Sachi Waters doesn't care if she meets movie stars or not, but she put on the best friend support face and went with her bestie to see Drayke Sloan on the red carpet. They have an instant connection, and spent a very sexy weekend together. When Sunday night rolls around, Sachi has real feelings for Drayke, and he promises to call but never does. Months later fate threw them back in each other's path, and Drayke would do anything to make it up to her. Will Sachi forgive him?

This was a great read. The character development is very good, with a well done story line that flows smoothly. Sachi and Drayke's chemistry is tangible, and the sexy scenes are SMOKIN' HOT! Kennedy Kelly did a great job captivating me fully from the beginning to end. Her writing style is easy, and very addicting. My big issue is I felt like the ending was too rushed. All in all, a great read, and I cannot wait to read more from this author.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I loved it! What started as two people thinking that they would enjoy each others company for the weekend turned in to so much more. Neither one of the characters are ready for what they are feeling and the emotions that they feel. It seems that the road to love is never smooth and in the case of Sachi and Drayke there are many obstacles to overcome. Will they get their happily-ever-after or will Sachi's past and Drayke's fame get in the way?

I recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading more from Kennedy Kelly.

Very Well written book. I received this as an ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed the book. Sachi is usually not "Star Struck" but when Cherry her best friend takes her to The theater of Call My Name things change. There she meets Drayke Sloan in real life. She has seen his pictures from Cherry but meeting him in real life strikes a spark in her, and he has an attraction to her as well.

A very good book. I would recommend.

I couldn't finish. No one in real life talks like these characters. I really wanted to finish this book as it started good, but just couldn't. Only got to 24%. I even previewed it first and thought it was going to be great. This is the first time I had to quit a book and it bothers me. I felt like the hero was too immature for his age and couldn't get past the dialogue. Sorry.

Cheesy

I thought it might be okay at first. As the love story of Drayke and Sachi developed Sachi became whiny and annoying. She seemed so immature.

5 Stars!

I loved this book! It was a refreshingly light read that will have you swooning from beginning to end. This book totally rocked. It has moments of laughter and moments that made you tear up. It had moments that make you want to strangle characters and moments that make you want to clap your hands. This book was hands down amazing and such an emotional ride. Oh and be prepared to add Drayke to your top book boyfriend list ladies and gents!

This is Sachi and Drayke's story. Sachi and Drayke meet by chance at a movie premiere that just so happens to be Drayke's movie where he is the lead role. Sachi is only there because her best friend Cherry is a star watcher. When Sachi catches Drayke's eye, she makes her a proposition. One weekend was all it was supposed to be, but as they spend time together they form a bond. When Drayke leaves he promises to call. Months later and Sachi never heard from Drayke. Trying to move on, she is taking it day by day as she fell hard and fast for him. When Drayke re-enters her life and demands his presence, will they be able to move on? Will Sachi give him a second chance? And when Sachi's past comes back to haunt her, will she run or fight for love? Will Sachi and Drayke get their happy ending?

I loved Drayke. He was so sweet, kind, protective, alpha, and a total beast (oh yes I went there) in the bedroom. I liked how he fought for Sachi after he initially was stupid. He made sure to know she was number one and I loved how he protected her from the media. I did want to strangle him a time or two but for the most part he made me swoon. I liked Sachi. I thought she was kind of flighty at times BUT she is young so that explains a lot. She is just learning and still maturing. I love a romance where the man is older and helps guide the woman (not sure why but I tend to gravitate to them). They did have a case of insta-love but it totally worked for them. I was rooting for them even when they made errors in judgment. I loved the way it ended and I definitely wouldn't mind a novella with a nice update from the future from them! **hint hint**

I can't wait for what this author has for us next but it is sure to be amazing!

I highly recommend this book!

Ok, I´m in a serious trouble here. This book has a really good premise, I love a movie star book, but it was just bad. In every way, the character development is inexistent, the plot was terribly developed, the lines went from cheesy to crude to idiotic, some scenes were grotesque.
And the real trouble for me was almost every one saying this book was good, made me ask myself if I read the same book.
Sachi went from sassy to a whine and cry and throw up, so much that I spent most part of the book thinking she was pregnant.
The MC´s has no real connection, everything felt forced.
Is hard to write a bad review, because we all know how much work an author put behind each book, but this one has no redemption.

4.5 OUT OF 5 STARS!!!!

This book is an unlikely romance between two people from different worlds. One is from the ‘real’ world and the other spends most of their time in the make believe world of movies. Just because people come from different worlds doesn’t mean that they can’t be together. Sometimes the only thing that is in the way of a relationship working is one’s ability to talk themselves into believing false truths. This tends to be the tale of this story between Sachi and Drayke Sloan.

Sachi is the down to earth, rationale person that happens to be friends with Cherry, who is very much star struck when it comes to Drayke Sloan. Sachi could care less about the stars, she is just there to support her friend which becomes truly evident upon meeting Drayke, when he stops on the red-carpet to say hello and give autographs, he ask Sachi, “Do you have anything you want signed?” her response “No, I don’t do stars.” Do stars. I f*&@king said it like it was a sexual act. How embarrassing. Drake raised his eyebrows, his lips turned up into a megawatt smile, and then he said, “That’s too bad. Maybe you’ll reconsider later.”

This one interaction sets the tone for a potential relationship that could change both of their worlds.

I really enjoyed the fact that this book is not just a wham-bam-thank you-mam kind of love story. It has history and a storyline that draws the reader in, wanting to know what is it that makes Sachi who she is today. She is a very strong, independent, proud individual that is real and relatable. I really enjoyed her no-nonsense interactions with people, it didn’t matter who they were or how much money they had, she was real and said what she thought and believed. She didn’t hold back and that has to be admired.

Drayke had a side about him that he didn’t share with his fans and the world. But Sachi got to experience it and we got to see it through their relationship and with his interaction with his family. He is definite book boyfriend material. (HOT, SEXY, ROMANTIC, DRIVEN, & GORGEOUS)

I can’t wait to see what Kennedy Kelly has for us next, but I know I will be checking it out!!!!

I got so into this book and couldn’t put it down. This is my opinion but I thought it moved a bit fast at times or maybe it was just the way I read the characters as they were talking. Drayke and Sachi were perfect for each other. The meeting was awesome especially when they first time they talked was at a premiere and Sachi said”I don’t do stars.” to Drayke. He was hooked from that moment on. You see Drayke is huge movie star but is looking for a change. Sachi, brings him what he so desperately needs..realness. He is surrounded by fake people buying for his attention and Sachi only cares to know him. He does mess big time but redeems himself big time. Sachi, has some reservations and that has mainly to do with how she was raised. I love the playfulness between Sachi and Drayke in and out the bedroom. Let’s just say in the bedroom, there’s some incredible dirty talk including nicknames such as the beast and tigress.. but they always seem to get the job done. Despite their differences, they still manage to make it work. Drayke is super sweet in so many ways like sending a buttload of flowers and making amends with her family. He is out to make Sachi happy and even though there’s times of tension, he makes her trust him again and again. This book is dream of mine, I mean who wouldn’t want a hollywood star to sweep them off their feet and fall in love with them.

I was truly impressed this was a first read from this author and want be my last read.
I really like the fact that this book is not just a "regular" love story. The back storyline is is what sets the tone for a potential relationship between the main characters, that could change and turn one anothers world upside down. Wow this book really draws you to the characters wanting to know what's next. Sachi is a very strong, independent, takes no crap from NO one, says and does what she wants to.
Drayke doesn't share alot of himself with his fans or alot of people. Sachi breaks through that part of him as they try being together. Drayke is hot, sexy, sweet, alpha, career driven, protective and a romantic at times. He's the total hottie package up there with top ten bbf!
They part ways for a months not her choice at all. She fell hard and fast for him she's trying to move on, one day at time. When Drayke comes back in her life he wants her full attention now. Questions are will Sachi give him a another chance? And when her past comes back to haunt her, will she run or fight for what they could have.
I can't wait to hear more from these two...

I DON'T DO STARS!!! I was given this book as a friend and as exchange for a review.

This is my first book by Kennedy Kelly and i absolutley love it. I was hooked from the line "I don't do stars".
Sachi is my kinda girl, determined and bold, hard working with a difficult past and not taking any shit from no one..Drayke is super film star ,easy ,down to earth man who knows what he wants...and he wants Sachi.
Their love and attracion was strong from the first moment they saw each other, and sex scenes..well let's just say that i want to be Sachi ..
Somewhere in the middle of the book i was getting a little annoyed by Sachi for nagging Drayke of missing calls,i mean let it go girl..the man asked you for forgivnes..move forward..but after reading Sachi's point and what kind of upbringing she had i totaly forgive her..

I recommend this book to all who wants to read a beautiful love story ,where fairy tales do turn up to be reallity and it is shown that plain, hard working girls can tame their prince on the white horse.

Thank you Kennedy for the chance to read this awsome love story,to share your words with us !

I totally loved this book! Kennedy Kelly knows how to pull the reader into the book and make you feel like you are right in the action.
Sachi is a strong independent woman and she doesn't need a guy to make her happy. But when she is drug by her best friend to a movie premiere with Drayke Sloan who is dripping sex. But when Drayke takes notice of Sachi and decides he wants to meet her, Sachi's reaction is "I DON'T DO STARS".
There is humor and tears throughout this book. There were times where I wanted to just knock some sense into Sachi and Drayke. But then there where times when I was mad at one or the other. You just didn't know where you were headed and I liked that. Both characters had traits I really liked. I knew how Sachi felt being that person who depends on no one and trying to let someone else into your heart with the chance of being hurt again. There was something about Drayke that I liked right away and I was rooting for both of them all along.
A great read with great writing and fantastic characters. You are missing out if you don't grab a copy and read this book!!!

Star in her eyes was a really captivating read and grips you from page one..

and will keep you till the end..

Sachi - isn't the type of girl to be impressed by celebrity's and the rich and famous..

and states "I DONT DO STARS" haha...

She goes to a red carpet event with her friend.. what she didn't expect was what kind of effect the big movie star Draylee Sloan would have on her...

From the moment there eyes meet sparks fly and the chemistry and attraction is HOT!!!

Draylee sees Sachi as a breath of fresh air, she is so unlike other women he usually meets... that are all over him for his fame ...

But its not all plain sailing and Draylee ends up pulling a really shitty move on Sachi ....ASS****

Its one hell of a bumpy ride...

I really enjoyed Stars In Her Eyes, even though Dray was a dick at times, he was also so sweet and romantic at times and had me falling for him <3 the more I read..

Stars In Her Eyes wasn't your typical romance novel .... it was so much more.

I cant wait to read more from Kennedy ...

5* Great Read....

Holy moly the feels!

I loved this one from beginning to end.
Although there were times when I wish I could've reached in and slapped the hell out of both of Drayke and Sachi like seriously?!?

I was super pissed and was yelling at my kindle. These two were so aggravating but it was hard not to be like aww now I see but in the end it paid off and in a freaking awesome way!

Very very unique characters and definitely ones to remember. I couldn't believe how into it I got and I am glad because I wanted to finish it and know what happened. I am soo glad that I did.

If you read this please know that there is strong emotions in this one and it will have you crying, sad and pissed off but it pays off. I promise!

Stars in Her Eyes by Kennedy Kelly was an amazing read. I instantly fell in love with the characters in this book, from the leading role to the quirky best friend they were all so well written. It had everything from tears to some scenes that left you needing a smoke after reading them! I would highly recommend this book to anyone who just wants a book that has it all.
A chance red carpet meeting leads to what they believe will be one weekend. Sachi Waters is a spunky 22 year old who’s best friend Cherry drags her to a red carpet premiere to try to catch a glimpse of Drake Sloan. With the thought in Sachi’s mind knowing she “doesn’t do stars” when she catches Drakes eye her thoughts may be changing.

What started off quite promising just fell flat at around 35% and never picked up speed again. While I really liked Sachi (and wow I love that name) at first, she changed to be kind of whiny and mopey after the half way point and I was never all that fond of the H. He said he was 35 years old, but unfortunately he acted like a teenager.
The inner dialogue (in 1st person) wasn't bad most of the time, but the dialogue itself between the characters was most of the time stilted and just uncomfortable sounding. Then things could get very cheesy. Too cheesy.
Just wasn't the book for me.

This book is one of the best books I've read by this author. Sachi waters doesn't "do stars" but when her friend drags her to a movie premier , she is blown away by Drayke Sloan ! He's not the typical movie star. He's very caring and charming and hates being a movie star. He just wants something real in his life and when he meets Sachi he gets it. This is a hot and steamy read that will make you squirm ! But does Sachis past keep them from being together? Read it to find out! You won't be disappointed!

'I don't do stars' that's what Sachi told Drayke when she first met him at his movie premiere night. One wild weekend turns into something else.
OK so I loved this book. The cover is greatand I think it represents sachi really well with her independence and all.
So overall rating 5 stars deffniately!
Chemistry between them? Undeniable they click the chemistry is out of the world they act like they've known each other forever !
Would I recommend it? Absolutely! It's one of my favorite reads.
Length? Pretty long but I didn't mind it at all. I honestly wish there were more of them !!

Sachi's best friend is Cherry and she went with Cherry to see the stars walk the red carpet for the premier of Call My Name. When standing with Cherry, Drayke looked into Sachi's eyes. She felt an instant attraction. When he talked to her, there was a strong tension between them.
I loved this story, all the twists and turns with Sachi. I felt like I was there with her, feeling happy and sad when she was. Excellent plot and overall story. A new Cinderella story has come to pass. Awesome characters. I highly recommend.

This was a good read. I like Sashi she is down to earth and stands her ground. Drayke seems sweet and wicked in the bedroom. He has a lot going on and Sashi does seem genuine. I felt for her when things were not going her way. I think it was a good fast read. Not minding the "sexy beast" at all. Would have liked a little more background with her brother. Other than that it was not a bad read.
