Lamplight’s battle against world-class counterintelligence agent Nike has ended in disaster for them and their goal of starting a revolution in the Lylat Kingdom, with one member of the team now in custody. It’s unclear whether or not their teammates are safe, but the mission can’t end until the revolution is complete. Erna and her allies need serious backup, and they dedicate themselves to tracking down the mysterious LWS Troupe. But the loss to this invincible foe eats away at Erna’s resolve, and the path before her seems shrouded in darkness. But as despair closes in from all sides, Lamplight’s powerhouse makes her move.
Super fast paced volume. Read 120 pages in one day. Has the big fight between Monika Nike, boss of the Lylat Kingdom’s spy agency. Ends with Klaus meeting with the head of Serpent, a Lylat noble, who is more of a figurehead. Next book is set up to investigate who is really behind Serpent, which is revealed to be Arthur of LWS the rebel group in Lylat.
Also most openly yuri between Nike, Thea, and Monika damn.

Thea is my favorite character early on the series but now Monika has definitely risen to that spot too. Her character development is definitely the best in the series.
