Before the war, they had nothing but each other. After it, they had nothing at all.
On the roads of a crumbling Europe, Karel found Sasya—a starving boy from the edges of the Russian empire with nowhere left to go. He gave him shelter. He gave him safety. He gave him something neither of them dared to name.
Then Sasya's mind shattered, and the blood on his hands became Karel's lie to bear. Karel took the blame, took the uniform, and took the war—so Sasya could disappear.
Years later, Paris glitters with postwar excess, and Sasya has remade himself into its most celebrated dancer. The rumors cling to him like stage smoke—what he sells, what he takes, who he ruins.
When Karel returns, he does not come with forgiveness. He comes wearing wealth like armor and looking at Sasya as if they've never met.
But some lies are too heavy to carry forever.
Perfect for fans WWII-era historical romance, dark second-chance love stories, European literary settings, and slow-burn reunions built on devastating secrets.

Me he enganchado cosa mala y seguiré leyendo toda la historia, obviamente.
