Ryleigh Kelly had managed to live her entire adult life without tying herself down. No one understood her, but that was because she never let them in on her biggest secret. She traveled around the world and collected more experiences than one person could imagine. All except one... love.
Mason Saxley seemingly had it all. He was the star pitcher of the Los Angeles Sparrows, and had the most adorable son on the planet. The thing he didn’t have? A nanny that would stick around long enough to stop hitting on him.
When Ryleigh agrees to move into his house for the summer, she finds herself falling in love with the perfect life she can never have.
Life would be so much easier if you could just rewind to a simpler time before it got so complicated...
Kat is a Philadelphia based romance author who believes in the power of a cute outfit, and sarcasm. She has a weakness for strong female characters with sharp tongues, and hot men on their arms. When she's not writing, Kat is a full time social worker and dog mom who loves reading, cooking, and watching comfort shows on repeat.
For a debut series, she hit this out of the ballpark.
I had such a fun time with these Kelly siblings. And it was a fun break in settings from what I normally read. This would be the perfect summer binge series. Centered around Malibu. But with a whole bunch of different vibes and tropes.
Ryleigh & Mason Oldest daughter She’s the traveling free child, rarely comes home He’s an MLB pitcher Single dad who needs a nanny
The prologue made me want to cry and then she sprinkled those teary moments throughout. I would definitely check the trigger warnings on this one. Because 😭 Miss Ryleigh
Loved the vibes. Mason was baseball daddy Little MJ was a good kid.
Glad I took a chance on this series and found a new author to read.
First a huge thanks to Kathryn Coin for the ARC. These are all of my honest thoughts and opinions.
EMOTIONAL. So damn emotional. Literally cried so much throughout this one. From happy tears to heartbreak. I wouldn’t change a thing about anything in this story. I absolutely loved everything.
Ryleigh is a wild card, free spirit and no one can hold her down. Unable to create roots anywhere, always on the run, Ryleigh really wove herself right into my heart. She was so strong, so resilient and so set in her own ways. I cannot say enough things about her.
Mason, oh Mason. I have such a soft spot for him. Attentive? ✔️ Hot? ✔️ Romantic? ✔️✔️ everything about him is perfect. {I think I found my new book boyfriend, ugh 😩}
MJ, Masons son, oh how I adore him. He was such a tough little guy. Finally got his happy ever after too. 😭🥰
The two really leaned on each other in rough times. Everything felt extremely real and so raw. All the problems and situations were things everyday people experience. It just helped bond with the entire story. I love all of the side characters, each and every one of them. I can’t get enough. From Ryleigh’s friend group to her siblings. Everyone has such a special place in my heart now. 😍
Kathryn has created beautiful characters with the biggest hearts. The most perfect small town (coastal) romance you could ever want. 5/5⭐️ and I highly recommend picking this one up on release day!
Okay I have been ARC reading for Kathryn and this series since book 2. I am utterly obsessed with the Kelly family and when I say every book gets better and better I am not lying.
Kathryn Coin and the Coast to Coast series are truly so underrated and if I could convince you to read one author/series it would be this.
Okay so now that you know how obsessed I am let’s get into it. I’ve been begging for this book since I finished book 5 and as soon as I got it panicked because I didn’t want the series to end. I knew it was going to destroy me (in all the good ways) and I wasn’t ready for it.
Well I finished this in one sitting. From the moment I picked it up I knew this was her best book yet and that Ryleigh was going to be my favorite sibling. I’m a sucker for single dad x nanny but this was so much more. There’s something about getting to know five other couples and then seeing them all together in the finale.
I cried so many times, at one point I wa sobbing and laughing and started choking😂 it was everything I hoped it to be and more. I truly could not imagine a better way to end this series then with the eldest sister and I honestly don’t know what to do with myself now.
For now I’ll continue to beg Kathryn for Brooks Valley Ranch and tell everyone I know to read these books! Thank you Kelly’s for this incredible story and thank you Kathryn for this ARC 🩷
this is a LITERAL 6 STAR READ because what do you meeeeaaaaannnnnn I have been feral for this entire series, but this book specially I ATE THIS BOOK UP. I was absolutely begging and knawing at the bars of my enclosure for Ryleigh and Masons story. I just knew it was going to hit me in every single feels possible.
Ryleigh, I absolutely LOVE HER Dare I say she is my favorite Kelly? The little nomad WITH THE MOST HEARTBREAKING BACK STORY Who is the strongest girl ever She deserves the world…. And enters
Sexy Mason Saxley. The hot single dad THE HOT BASEBALL PLAYING SINGLE DAD He literally could do no wrong You thought he was this quiet, broody man. Oh no no no HE WAS SO MUCH MORE
I absolutely loved their chemistry I loved their story I loved how they progressed and grew together I loved how much Mason was there for her through EVERYTHING I loved how much joy and light Ryleigh brought to Mason and MJ’s life
The last like..20%…JUST STRAIGHT SOBBING I literally couldn’t control it I love them so much 😭😭😭😭😭
This book absolutely HIT The whole series ABSOLUTELY HIT I will recommend this whole series (specially this book) for the rest of my life.
I want to be in the Malibu House I want to be apart of the Kelly family & the group chat 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 6 stars for sure
please check your triggers and make sure you're in a mental head space to be able to read this book.
This was an amazing book to read. I love the Endometriosis representation in the female main character. It was emotional, raw and real. I have witnessed the horrible effects of this condition. It is real and it definitely can react as it does with the main character. I'm so glad I was able to read this and experience this love story. I have to say, I highly highly recommend this book and series.
Huge thank you to Kathryn Coin for the ARC—everything here is 100% my own thoughts!
This book?? Absolutely wrecked me in the best way. I laughed and I cried. It was one of those stories that just hits you right in the chest, equal parts heartbreak and happiness, and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it.
Ryleigh completely stole my heart. She’s this chaotic, free-spirited, can’t-be-tied-down kind of girl who’s spent her life running instead of putting down roots. But underneath all that? She’s so strong, stubborn, and trying her best, even when life keeps throwing things at her. I was so invested in her growth.
And Mason… yeah, I’m down bad. Attentive, swoony, ridiculously sweet, and hot, the man checks every box. The way he shows up for Ryleigh, stands by her, and just loves her without hesitation?? Immediate book boyfriend status.
But honestly, MJ might have been the one to fully destroy me. That kid has been through so much, and watching his bond with Ryleigh grow was so soft and special. Their relationship added such a beautiful layer to the story, and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best single dad romances I’ve read.
The emotions in this were so raw and real, nothing felt overdone or unrealistic. From tough family dynamics to heavier topics like infertility and endometriosis, everything was handled in a way that just felt honest. It hurt, but in a meaningful way.
I also loved being back with this entire crew. The Kelly family, the friend group, all the familiar faces, it just felt like coming home. You can really tell how much care went into creating these characters because they all feel important.
And Mason falling first?? HARD?? Yeah… we love to see it. He never wavers, never pulls back, he just goes all in for her, and it was everything.
Such a bittersweet goodbye to this series, but what a perfect way to wrap it up. Everyone getting their happy ending made my heart so full.
With this novel, Kathryn has undoubtedly saved the best for last. The themes of love, family, and self-worth are explored in Ryleigh and Mason's book, which undoubtedly presents a powerful emotional impact. I'm glad I gave this author a chance. In addition to falling in love with The Kellys, this series showed me a lot about familial values.
Coastal Rewind is the sixth and final novel in the Coast to Coast series that aims to tug at the heartstrings while exploring the transcendent nature of love and life.
The emotional contrasts in Kathryn's story—light and shade, control and surrender, love and loss—are what make it so endearing. Ryleigh Kelly, the enigmatic nomad. I found her to be such a multifaceted mystery. And with this book, all the revelations and her motivations for isolating herself are heartbreaking. But despite those, I am in awe of her being a free-spirited and resilient woman who follows her own set of standards. Mason and MJ Saxley, the father and son duo who not only captured Ryleigh's heart but mine, too. They've given Ryleigh a fresh perspective on life and love, overall bringing radiance and tenderness to the story.
At its core, Coastal Rewind is not only a poignant story of love, loss, and personal transformation but also has a message about embracing the moment, healing through connection, and finding the courage to stay.
Receiving a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book was an honour, and I'm presenting my candid opinion based on my own experience. I am eternally grateful to Kathryn Coin for entrusting me with reading this book beforehand.
Thank you so much to the author for this ARC — I’m incredibly grateful 🤍
Coastal Rewind was such a bittersweet reading experience for me. Before I even started, I already felt so many emotions—excited to dive into another story, but also heartbroken knowing this would be the final book in one of my favorite series.
Ryleigh and Mason’s story truly healed a piece of me I didn’t even realize needed healing. As someone who struggles with chronic illness, I found myself relating deeply to Ryleigh. And Mason… he reminded me so much of my own fiancé—always there, always trying, always caring in the smallest and biggest ways. It made their relationship feel even more special to me.
I loved finally getting to see Ryleigh’s perspective so clearly—her thoughts, her struggles, the way she experiences the world. It added so much depth to her character. And MJ? Absolutely adorable. No notes.
What I’ve always loved about this series is the sense of family, and this book delivered that once again. Seeing everyone find their happiness and their endings felt so satisfying… even if it made it harder to say goodbye.
While I’m incredibly sad that our time with the Kelly family is coming to an end, I’m so grateful I got to be there from the very beginning—falling in love with Keegan and Luke, and growing alongside these characters until now.
Kathryn, you created something truly special. I can’t wait to see what’s next in Brooks Valley Ranch and fall in love all over again.
I was not prepared for how emotionally invested I'd become in Ryleigh, Mason and MJ. This story consumed me from the very first chapter. The slow burn tension between Ryleigh and Mason was everything - the stolen moments, the history between them and the way their connection slowly deepened over time felt so natural.
Ryleigh broke my heart in the nest way. Watching her struggle with the feeling of not being enough, while still trying to be strong for everyone around her felt incredibly raw. The emotional depth in this book is what made it stand out for me. It explored family expectations, grief, insecurities and finding where you truly belong.
Mason was patient, caring and protective without being overbearing and genuinely adored Ryleigh for exactly who she was. The way he supported and reassured her throughout the book had me melting! MJ stole every scene he was in and added so much heart to the book and made the little family moments even more emotional.
One of my favourite things about this book was how authentic the relationships felt - not just romantically but between the siblings, friends and found family dynamic.
This book made me laugh, cry, smile and did not want the book to end! I am so sad that the Kelly's era is now finished, but am so grateful have to received ARC copies from book 2!
💭: Coastal Rewind is book six in the Coast to Coast series by Kathryn Coin, and while it can be read as a standalone… why would you ever want to do that? Watching Kathryn’s writing grow and this family evolve since book one is part of the magic. The way she builds these characters and their connections will leave you amazed.
Ryleigh’s story was always meant to be the last, and honestly, it was the perfect ending for the Kelly family. I truly wish I could rewind and experience it all again for the first time. Kathryn has this incredible ability to make every single book feel fresh—she pulls something different out of me every time, and somehow each one hits harder than the last.
I know a lot of us love a good single dad trope, and Mason absolutely delivered on the “daddy!” He was everything Ryleigh needed—steady where she was restless, grounded where she kept herself moving. While Ryleigh spent so much of her life avoiding roots, she became exactly the kind of steady Mason and his little boy needed.
This series is about growth. It’s about family. It’s about finding your own path and the people who make it feel like home. And this book put the final, perfect finishing touches on it all.
Please give this series a chance—I am begging you. Don’t let the younger MCs scare you off. You’ll thank me later.
* I have been sent this book by Kathryn Coin. This review is my own opinion and I have not been paid for this review. Thank you to Kathryn Coin for sending me her book*
Ryleigh is one of the oldest out of the Kelly Siblings, after being told she has Endometriosis at a young age, she decides to leave her family and go traveling around America. Never staying in one place for too long. Mason is friends with Ryleigh's brother Nolan and is a single dad to MJ.
When Ryleigh comes home to visit her family, Mason turns up to the family bbq with his son and sees how Ryleigh is with his son and asks her to look after him while he is on the road with his baseball team after each of his nannies quit time after time.
Both of them have feelings for each other but can he get Ryleigh to stay after she doesn't like to stay in one place for a long time....
I really enjoyed reading this book! I love it with authors include Chronic Illness in their books to spread awareness to them as a lot people don't take them seriously. I loved reading Ryleigh's relationship development in the book, but you'll have to read it to see what happens!!
What are the most this book had me in tears and my husband looked at me like I was crazy because I was crying about a book lol. My heart hurts Ryleigh hello I just wanted to give her a big hug! Ryleigh is oldest of the Kelly family and she’s kind of free spirit. Mason is a single dad to MJ, he’s a professional baseball player and he’s also friends with Ryleigh’s brother, but he also needs a nanny for the summer. Ryleigh is home from one of her adventures and decides to nanny MJ, MJ and Ryleigh have the cutest bond. Mason is sweet and caring and for the first time he saw Ryleigh he was drawn to her but he knew deep down that she wasn’t ready for him. Ryleigh feels like she doesn’t fit in with her siblings, but I’m glad she has Mason and MJ. This book will have you laughing to crying back laughing! This is now on my top favorites list and if I could give it a higher rating, I would. This is a must read for sure. Thank you, Kathryn for letting me be part of this arc team.
So obsessed with the Kelly Family and the whole Coast to Coast series. Ryleigh and Mason’s story was the best one! The small hints to a possible love story of their own was perfect led up to this book. Not only was their chemistry perfectly written but the relationship between Ryleigh and MJ melted my heart! This may be one of the best Single Dad stories I’ve read! So Bitter Sweet to see this series end but so happy they all finally get their happy endings!
Thank you to Kathryn Coin for providing me with an Advanced copy in exchange for my honest review
What a perfect ending to this series. Finally she comes back home. Her baggage is huge! But she meets the man who will help her unpack the van of life find a way to move on and finally share her struggles. If you don't fall in love with mason and mj there is something wrong with you! I loved all the characters in this book loved going back with the past characters and moving on. I love a professional baseball player and his kid! He definitely falls first and there is no doubt that his love is huge for her. She fits in his life so perfectly. They are meant to be!
I can’t believe this series is over!! I absolutely loved reading this final book and I adore how it ended. The Malibu house will always live on! Such a sweet romance with them and I loved Ryleigh and Mason together. I’ve been waiting for their story since they first met and it was everything I wanted it to be. I am going to miss the Kelly family but I’m hoping they might make some cameos in the next series!! I’m so ready to go back to the ranch and see what Paige’s story has to offer!! Thank you to the author for another great arc read!!
Best one yet 😭 I have thoroughly loved being an ARC reader on this series, it has quickly become a comfort series of mine. Ryleigh and Mason’s story is so heartwarming and sad at times… I cried during this book, which doesn’t happen very often. I love the storyline on this one and learning about Ryleigh, the mysterious Kelly sibling that only made small appearances before this book.
I loved this book. It had me laughing one minute and crying the next. The infertility and endometriosis storyline was so raw and emotional—it truly felt like my heart was ripped out and somehow put back together again. Mason, his commitment to Ryleigh was completely swoon-worthy. The way he stood by her through everything just made this story even more powerful.
*I received a copy of this book as an ARC. This review and thoughts are mine alone.*
Rating: 5⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️
Dear Kat.
This series has been absolutely incredible, and I’m honestly devastated this is the end of it.
I feel like I’ve said this every time, but this was easily my favorite book. Ryleigh and Mason were literal perfection.
MJ is the CUTEST. I genuinely loved his character, he’s got such spunk and he’s so sweet. He’s so loved by everyone on the team, and i love the found family in this series so much!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Tropes- single dad x nanny, baseball romance, found family, invisible string, she has a secret, oblivious to lovers, slow burn

I can’t believe the last kelly sibling is here and it was absolutely amazing and done so well the raw emotions in this book was so intense but beautiful I was crying the first chapter because Ryleigh deserves the world and I’m so glad she’s got Mason and MJ cause they deserve the world also. This book just had my emotions all over the place but it was so worth it in the end
Ryleigh is the oldest sibling of 6 and she’s been traveling all over the world for the last 10 years and only saw her family a few times a year because she found something out at 18 that turned her whole world upside. I freaking love Ryleigh she’s so strong and incredible I wanted her book since the beginning cause I wanted to see what she was running from but now she’s home for the summer and she knows her time is running out to tell her siblings her secret
I clocked these two since book 3 and I just knew they were going to be amazing together and it did not disappoint the chemistry, banter, spice and just everything was perfection and written so well. Mason, MJ, and Ryleigh little family is so amazing and so heartwarming I just love them all so much
Mason is the hot single dad and baseball player who has completely stolen my heart and little Mj I love them both so much, Mason is such an amazing dad who tries his absolute best as a single parent. Mason is just a green flag and can do no wrong and the way he doesn’t play about Ryleigh!? Um yes please.
Mason and Ryleigh healed each other ugh I just love them so much and the invisible string!? Had me freaking swooning because there is no way like they just freaking belong together. Seeing them fall in love with each other and Ryleigh letting herself fall was so special cause they just fit so well together.
This was such a bittersweet ending I do not want to say goodbye to this family I love them all so much
Thank You So Much for giving me this incredible arc !💐🖤
this is one of my favorite series’! this story may have been my absolute favorite, too. mason & ryliegh both had compelling stories, and they intertwined perfectly. amazing!!
My heart literally stopped when I saw I got an ARC copy of this book.
I swear I've never related more to a character than I do with Ryleigh and I absolutely fell in love with everything about this book!! I was waiting for this moment to read Ryleigh's story because I knew it was going to be good, and it was spectacular!! 🥹❤
Ryleigh is the oldest sibling in the Kelly family and here comes Mason who is a professional baseball player for the Sparrows. These two have had a mutual connection over a few times when it came to family functions and when Mason needed a nanny to watch over his son MJ, Ryleigh happens to be the perfect person for the job. Until that is, the slow tension starts to build where they start to like each other more than friends. The slow Burn starts to sizzle and goodness me is it good.
But that's not the best part--I know--what made me fall in love with this book was the hard connections and truths of Ryleigh and her condition. The way she thought she wasn't good enough to be around her siblings simply because she couldn't conceive. The way Mason was loving, caring and happily challenge to make sure Ryleigh knew just how much they loved her. She deserves to be happy especially having Mason and MJ!!
As I am also the oldest sibling in my family, I know what it's like to wanting to support my siblings instead of them supporting me in return and I felt so much love and emotions unraveling all the love siblings feel and what they go through with the ups and downs
This book had me in tears, laughing and the found family aspect throughout this whole entire series is wholesome!! 🥹 I'm going to see them so much as this is the last book in the Coast To Coast series but mark my words, this series has become one of my top favorites!!!
