Unbroken: A Clean Contemporary Christian Romance
She wrote love stories for millions. She just couldn't write her own.
Hadley Morgan has spent eleven years in Los Angeles building one of the most celebrated dramas on television. Four seasons. Twelve Emmy nominations. A show that made audiences believe in love on Tuesday nights. When the network offers her twenty million dollars to keep going, Hadley does the thing nobody in Hollywood does.
She says no.
She's ending the show. On her terms. With the finale she promised the characters and the audience from the beginning. The industry thinks she's lost her mind. Her agent is in mourning. And the boyfriend who told her eight months ago that she was never present? He was right about that, too.
With her career in free fall and her personal life in pieces, Hadley drives to the last place anyone would look for her — Maplewood, Vermont. Population 3,200. One traffic light. One diner where a woman named June talks to her late husband about the weather. One covered bridge that makes you feel like time stopped. And a best friend who's had a room ready since August.
She didn't plan on Ethan Calloway.
The quiet high school English teacher reads his Bible at the kitchen table every morning, coaches football because the boys need a man who shows up, and lives in the house his grandparents built. He doesn't own a television. He wraps books badly and gives them as gifts. He says things like "that was brave" and means it more than anyone has ever meant anything.
He's also the first person in years who sees the woman underneath the showrunner — and isn't afraid of what he finds.
As Vermont's autumn blazes into winter, Hadley discovers that this small town is doing something to her she didn't expect. The writing is coming back — not the polished, network-approved kind, but something rawer and truer. The faith she left in a Connecticut church at eighteen is knocking on a door she's been keeping shut. And the man who lends her novels and walks her to a covered bridge at dusk is becoming the person she thinks about first in the morning and last at night.
But Hadley Morgan has a pattern. She disappears. She retreats into work. She lets the people who love her stand in the kitchen and wait. And when her old life shows up in Maplewood uninvited, she has to decide once and for Is she the woman who writes the ending, or the woman brave enough to live inside a story she didn't script?
Unbroken is a story about coming home — to a town, to a man, and to a faith that never stopped waiting.
Unbroken is Book 1 in The Unscripted Series, a collection of interconnected standalone Christian contemporary romances about four college friends finding love, faith, and themselves. Each book features a new heroine and can be read on its own.

Amazing! Overall, the best book I've read in years. The characters were perfectly flawed and grew in a way we should all mimic. The background of Maplewood is the perfect setting - packed with characters that planted a smile on your face and produced unexpected chuckles. Dawn is an amazing author. You don't just read a story, you walk beside the character, cheering and crying alongside them. As the reader, you'll highlight multiple phrases packed with wisdom and say good bye to a friend when you reach the end.

I am giving 3.5 stars! The story has good bones but it was a bit prolonged. There was great moments with excellent quotes but there was few extras that were not needed. However, reading it, it would definitely make you fall in love with small town life. Also, I always enjoy reading about great friendship and there is plenty of that in the story.

Awesome story.
I have read a lot of books and stories and this one I really, really enjoyed.
It was different than other stories. The way it was written and the whole theme was altogether differnt. It was easy to Read and understand and to follow the story line throughout.
Looking forward to the next follow-up story.

Cute story:
I enjoyed this sweet contemporary Christian romance. Although a little drawn out at times, I still enjoyed spending time with these characters. I really enjoyed the small town setting and felt connected with the story.

How Refreshing!
I loved the expressions, conversations, the humor, and the sharing of faith! This was the most refreshing from any Christian Romance I've ever read. It was quite the change from the usual girl meets guy with kissing or fighting (ad nauseum) and steamy looks from page one to the end. The spiritual conversations had real substance as well.

Absolute must read!
I read lots of clean, mostly Christian romance stories but this one is in a category all its own. J laughed, I cried, sometimes I laughed while I was crying. The story is wonderfully believable. This story will make your heart happy.

Phenomenal
I fell in love with the town, the characters the story, but most of all the author. The book is one of the best, if not the best, Christian fiction I've ever read. It was warm, and funny and quirky but also emotional and spiritual in the truest sense of the word.
