Kenyatta Simms was born and raised on the rough streets of Las Vegas. Being the daughter of two crack fiends, life was hard for her. She was forced to grow up too fast and didn’t get a chance to live and experience what girls her age had because she was too busy taking care of the family. She used stealing and boosting as a way to make ends meet. Sharee Kimble, her first cousin, had a completely opposite upbringing in Alabama. Sharee’s parents were devout Christians, well known, and well respected in the church. Like Kenyatta, she hadn’t had a chance to live much. When Kenyatta makes the move to Alabama, these cousins team up in an attempt to get some money to live on their own. With a great plan, they find that robbing banks is just a little too easy. What they find is a lifestyle that’s too addictive and who they become is the farthest thing away from what they could’ve ever imagined as the Pretty Gang Banditz.
This was a good story. I really enjoyed it. PGB were about their business...I would recommend this book as a good read. First time reading any book by Joy but it won't be my last.
This book was really good loved sharee and Kenyatta they were bosses and didn't even know it. Now that Danielle and Rodrick was just some greedy shady people i hope there is a part 2 cause I need to know what happens next. Job well done
This was a good read and despite the minor editing issues, I enjoyed it all the way through. I knew enlisting Denise and Roderick was gonna be a problem as soon as they got introduced into the plan.
Don't sleep on this book! Its one of the best books I've read in a long time. The Pretty Gang starts off small robbing little banks but when they are forced to combine forces with the enemy and go big things don't go well. One things for sure this isn't the end. I can't wait for part 2!
This was a fun and fast paced book. It moved along quite well. This was my first book by Joy Jackson. I will be reading more of her books. Kenyatta and Sharee have their hands full now. Just when I thought it was the end of their run...... Will prison be able to hold them? And if so, for how long? Come on Part 2!!!!
I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't read fast enough. The characters were interesting the storyline was good. No drugs being sold. Great ending. Deborah Bates
Excellent read. These ladies were not playing about getting that money. There needs to be a part 2 so that Danielle can get what she deserves for being a snitch.
