Reminded me of Misery + Fatal Attraction!
“Under Her Care” by Juliette Trott is a psychological thriller that reminded me a lot of a combination of “Misery” and “Fatal Attraction.”
Clara comes to Arthur’s rescue after he loses his wife in a horrific house fire. Clara seemingly appears out of nowhere and pulls him out of the burning house, but sadly, it’s too late for his wife, Sarah. Arthur is vulnerable and needs to be cared for, so it’s easy for someone like Clara to swoop in and play the hero.
Suddenly, a detective becomes suspicious that Clara might not be who Arthur thinks she is. And that’s where things begin to go very wrong.
This book was an absolute thrill ride! It has a twisty storyline that keeps you guessing, and even when you figure some things out, the overall premise really shocked me!
I think this thriller would be great for someone wanting to dabble in the genre.

Clara is a nurse whom takes charge of Arthur's home care after he was burned in a house fire where he lost his wife. The suspense will have the hair on the back of your neck standing straight up all the while you're trying to fit the pieces of the puzzle together. This thriller is a beauty and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys the feeling of an adrenaline rush.

It was a rollercoaster ride of pure suspense and darkness. This was an edge of the seat thriller that had me invested from beginning to end. This was so good. It’s a definite must read.

Clara is Arthur home nurse after he is in a fire he depends on her for everything. She isn't what she seems though she is obsessed with him she chose him. Interesting characters and a Gripping plot that kept me turning the pages. I highly recommend.

Obsession is definitely a beast all its own. And, it cripples both parties. Those obsessed don’t always understand the deep fascination and how truly terrifying it is. And, the victim doesn’t always know they’re in danger until it’s too late. This was a fanatically written, dark storyline that was wickedly addictive and fascinating.

Arthur Badgley survived a horrible fire; his wife Sarah didn't. Clara is his in-home caretaker, the woman who pulled Arthur free from the fire. But as time goes by, he's healing, remembering and growing more dependent upon Clara, just the way she wants. A well-written, great, intense novel. I raced through it and enjoyed every page.

Very good psychological thriller. She is the caretaker and he is the patient. She is in control not him. Very well written with twists and turns, keptme guessing and on the edge of my seat. Great story!.
