W liked it but didn’t love it.
For me there wasn’t enough de tail but with a 99pg read I guess it can’t be so detailed.
Pipa was a mail order bride, she chose this to get away from a toxic family and dangerous ex.
She’s matched with an older man, grant wanted babies but not. Love so they are at cross hairs initially.
They are playing question game during a storm to pass time before he sends her away but her ex finds her and grant realises he wants it all.
It all happened in half a day so for me just a bit to fast. The lack of details was an issue for me he’s in his 40s and lives an hour from anywhere up a mountain and I’ve no idea his job
Does he work from home or travels?
Is he wealthy ?
No clue lol

Good plot development without skipping timelines, good character development all under 100 pages. Call me impressed! I just wanted a bit more once they got together and there wasn’t much spice but the epilogue wrapped everything up nicely.

Healing Love
We all have traumatic childhoods, maybe not like Piper and Grant, but we carry those ghosts with us that shape our adulthood. And sometimes meeting someone willing to help us unpack and declutter and make room for better, help our future self understand.

Two people that really want the same thing and just need time to work it out.

I liked the idea of the mail-order arranged marriage, especially for the main purpose of having a baby. Where this one lost me, was the lack of connection between them even once they were supposedly together. And the ex catching up to her was a bit farfetched to me.
