Great job Sherene! I must say this group of friends were experiencing some serious issues. I was mad Lousa tried justifying Bryan's behavior and blamed herself. Bryan had more than enough issues and he took things too far. It was good knowing Blair was so persistent and wanted to help Lousa out of her situation. Delisha was too much. Her rule was beyond crazy and Marcus seemed like a very good dude. Marcus straight flipped out and it was shocking. Even though he succeeded at getting his point across, I think he could've went about it a different way. With Shanea, I was so ready for her to be done with Lon. His trifling ass was working my nerves and I hated how he never wanted to take responsibility for the problems he caused within his marriage. I was pulling for Jerry but Lon's dirty ass had other plans. I liked Tressa because out of all the women she seemed more level headed and wanted all of them to get the help they needed. I thought Randall was a good dude. I was surprised at Tressa and Randall's secret and thought they'd finally have a chance to make things right. Aaron and Janice were both trifling and so wrong! I can't wait to find out how everything plays out. Will Lon finally let go, will Tressa and Delisha get out of their situation, what's going on with Lousa, will Shanea beat her husband at his own game, and will Dr. Ross be able to shed some light in order to help the women before it's too late?!
Wow, these four friends have more in common than they ever thought! They balance each other out with their dysfunctional lives and secrets that they only wish they could confide in each other. About to start part 2 because I need somebody to put a stop to Lon.
I tried to get Into the story but I kept getting sidetracked by the story. So many characters with so much to follow and a loose storyline. An okay read.
This was an eye opening read revolving around 4 women who lives were filled with turmoil. Although all the ladies experienced life altering changes, I felt Lousa definitely needed immediate intervention. This was a mind boggling story that has me interested in seeing how the characters deal with Dr. Ross's recommendations.
You are quickly immersed in the volatile lives of typical women that hold secrets that you'd have never imagined. I must admit this was an informed, engaging, and intelligent work. The transitions were confusing at times causing me to have to retrace the storyline. Overall, I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book.
Drama and mayhem all these lives are damaged or in shambles because people won't or can't let go....The rape and innocence stolen for t h e love of drugs the children suffers and grows up with issues ....wow ....outstanding
This book was just ok it had some much going on and about five or six main characters so was kinda hard to follow along. All n all it was just ok going to start part two maybe.
What was this supposed to be? This was all over the place, I don't know what character is doing what to whom. The best thing about this was that it was free. I can't believe there is a part 2 &3. But part 2 is free. I might try it when my head stops hurting.
