I must admit it was the title of this book which caught my eye, thinking that it might be full of prayers and blessings.

Actually it is more of a beautiful coffee table book with quotes from Irish writers and poets, traditional folk songs etc, all speaking of the love of Ireland, the homeland, the people etc.

The photos are stunning, although I would say that they tend to project a rather old-fashioned, simpler times, type image of Ireland, particularly the countryside and country folk, which I am not sure accurately reflects the country as it is today.

That said, feast your eyes on the wonderful pictures and, if you are of Irish descent and living abroad, dream of your heart home.

A beautiful book of Irish Blessings which I picked up in a lovely store in Ireland. Ironically my copy was printed in China under a copyright held by a publishing house in Philadelphia, PA in the United States. It is still a lovely little book. It is very calming to read before bed if a person is feeling anxious.
