Pretty Toxin — H.B. Cliffy
I LOVED this book so much. It’s dark, obsessive, messy, emotional — and completely addictive.
The tension in this story is unreal because every relationship feels so complicated and layered. Love, guilt, obsession, anger, loyalty… it’s all tangled together in the best way. And Creed Hill’s obsession hangs over everything like a storm waiting to hit.
But what really got me was her men. The way they’re patient with her while still pushing her when they know she can handle it — and needs it — was EVERYTHING. They don’t let her drown in her fear or pain, but they also never stop protecting her. No matter how messy things get, they show up for her again and again, and I was absolutely obsessed with that dynamic.
And the individual dynamics??
Graves fighting himself every step of the way
Mack treating her like something he can’t quit
Stone always finding his way through her walls
Kash being fiercely possessive and completely all in
I ate up every second of it.
The vibes are:

emotional damage

Following on from Pink Poison, we continue the story of Stevie and her not-so-merry band of MC men. There’s a lot of history between them after Stevie was banished five years ago, and forgiveness is slow-earned.
But in the meantime, the threat of powerful, entitled men is still lurking. With potential help showing up in some unexpected places, there’s a lot more to play out of this story.
This is a fabulous, dark read. The men look really good in red (flags) - it shows off the morally grey beautifully. There’s a pretty comprehensive list of warnings that you must consider carefully before reading.
Pretty Toxin will not make sense unless you read Pink Poison (book one). I would strongly encourage you to read the World Intelligence Agency series set in the same world for more chaos and a bit of clarity.

Book's ending on cliffhangers truly leave you wondering about what's next. After finishing book 1 yesterday, I can confirm that some of my questions were answered.
The FMC Stevie, is truly a badass. She is entirely in tune with herself and knows what she wants when she wants it. It broke my heart to see her struggling after she was sexually assaulted and began to grapple with the self-blame and self-doubt because she feels she allowed this to happen to herself by being to distracted with her revenge plans. We all know that the blame of sexual assault is purely towards the abuser. Anyways, Stevie is that bitch and she is able to reconnect with her power, rebuild her strength, and enact a little bit of revenge in the process.
I really loved how the MMC's stood up for Stevie and allowed for her to process through her trauma in her own manner. I would say out of our four MMC's, Kash is probably my favorite. I like that he is genuinely so sweet with Stevie, but is lowkey a bit looney!
I really hope you all enjoy this book as much as I did!

ARC Reader Review:
WOW! H.B. Cliffy can write!!! I read Pink Poison first because it’s the first book in the series. Pretty Toxin is amazing!!! The first book ends on a cliffhanger (bc it’s H.B. Cliffy so she just has to), the lead back into the story in Pretty Toxin was fantastic! I literally fell in love with these characters even more in this book. I also really like how Cliffy incorporated Creed Hill’s point of view as well as the other main characters points of view also. I felt like it was a nice addition to the storyline and it made you see things from a different perspective. Stevie is a literal Queen in this book because she just goes after what she wants! I loved this book like completely devoured it!!!! I cannot wait for the third book because there was another cliffhanger!!!😫 But the depth in this book into each character is amazing and I am excited to see the character development into the third book. Great story from Miss H.B. Cliffy❤️

This was a quick, fast-paced read with plenty of hilarious banter, dirty jokes, hot and heavy moments, and some very questionable moments, lol (IYKYK). I enjoyed it all. If you read book 1 Pink Poison & enjoyed it then you will want to read Pretty Toxin cause this one you get a more in depth look into the characters like the Amazing FMC Stevie who still don't just take crap from the guys and gives them a run for their money LOL and what's more is we get a better look into the guys and how they get closer with Stevie which i love especially all while she's seeking revenge for her being S.A. but of course as with book 1 this book ends on a Cliffhanger as well since H.B Cliffy clearly likes to stick with their own name LOL & torture us and make us wait to see what happens next LOL. But if you like dark, twisted, bully, MC reads then Butchers MC Series book will be right up your alley.

The high I was riding reading this book was eviscerated by that ending. I thought what happened at the end of book one destroyed me. This was next level. I really need book three to see how this all plays out. Stevie continues to be one of my favorite characters. What she went through broke my heart, but the way she continued to live her life was absolute goals. I definitely fell more in love with the guys in this book as Stevie started to let them in and we got to know them. I still fully support her need for revenge, but why not have some fun along the way? I cannot wait to see what happens next. 🖤

I didn't think this book could top Pink Poison, but guuurrrrrlllll.... (or boi) H.B. Cliffy did just that. Such an easy read...while also crushing your soul a little. Getting to know the characters a little deeper. And that ending.......holy cliffhanger butcher. Can't wait for book 3 and having the pleasure to re-read pink poison & pretty toxin before it's release. If you like a MC bully romance....with the FMC giving as good as she gets...immediately read these books.

I was so excited to get book 2, in Stevie's story! Well, it didn't disappoint, I loved it!!!
This book definitely kept me on my toes! It was filled with drama, revenge, emotional moments, steam, and much more!!
Stevie continues to prove how awesome she is. She is also strong and resilient. I feel like we get to know her and the other characters better. I like all of the guys, but my greatest loves are Kash and Stone.

This is the 2nd book I’ve read from this author and they definitely know how to end on a cliffhanger!
We got to know the characters a lot better in this book! All of The Butchers have their faults, but Kash and Stone are definitely my favorite MMCs.

Kasshhhhh how i love you so. And Stone you’re such a close second. I read this book in one day, i could not put it down. This story has the POV from the man we all despise, I’ve never read a book with that POV and i loved it! Of course, we end on a cliff hanger and my girl better be okay! I also weirdly loved Priest and Nova, they were so fun (if we forget that they laid a hand on my boy, kash)
I can’t wait for the next one!

I was an arc reader for this story I ended up signing up not even knowing about the first the author was nice enough to send me a copy and I’m glad I got it!!! This book was down right perfect from the fmc and all the mmc’s my flabbers are definitely gasted I’m obsessed I read this in a day i definitely need more of it the butchers are now my new favorite gang they’re crazy but they’re also soft an can’t wait to read more!!

Yes!! Pretty toxin started off right where book 1 ended. There was so much back and forth because you know Stevie is just sassy and takes no crap. There is so much I could say but dont like giving away spoilers so ill say this if you havnt read Pink poison you really need to just so you can read this one! Also H.B. Cliffy lived up to her name and gave us a heart breaking cliffhanger that has me demanding book 3!!

I read this as ARC,
This book as alot but it good. Its still had the multiple POV's from the first book. I like the character depth of Stevie. Her character hits home for me in some things because I understand. I will warn though if you didn't like the first one because there are multiple sexual partners you will not like this one either. But there more feelings explored in this one. I will recommend it if you like the dark side of romance and you like spicy content.

This was a good book. I read book one first and then this one and it was very good. This is book 2 in The Butcher MC Series. I was very impressed by this book and the cliffhangers in these books were frustrating but amazing none the less. After reading book 1 and then immediately book 2 i understood so many things and questions I had were answered. Overall, this is an amazing series so far and i cannot wait to see where it goes.

Cliffy does an amazing job balancing emotional trauma, suspense, and romance while keeping the gritty MC atmosphere strong throughout the story. The chemistry kept me hooked, and waiting "patiently" for book 3!

Mind the trigger warnings.
This book just solidified how much I like Stevie. AND I KNOW I SIGNED UP FOR A CLIFFHANGER BUT DANG! I want to see where that ending will lead. Things have been serious for a minute but something tells me it's going to get worse before it gets better. I'm a glutton for fictional punishment however.

Stevie is definitely more resilient than most would be. She, Kash and Stone are developing nicely. Their relationship is intriguing. Idk what will happen with Graves and Mack that’s still a work in progress. Creed uhm I have no words. Then H.B. Cliffy drops that cliffhanger like uhm really.

The story continues with Stevie and the butchers and their protectiveness towards Stevie after what happened in book 1. I really liked how concerned many characters were towards Stevie this book. While she was mostly protected there were a few slip ups where stevie was at risk from someone who is obsessed with her.
Book 2 was more of a storyline trying to get into my depth of what everyone was going through. However there cliffhanger at the end that was as left field that I didn’t see coming.
I have a theory Stevie will not care what people think next book.
