Daisy and Damian are no longer playing games. Between them, a war rages—driven by raw desire, vicious jealousy, and the desperate need to stay in control. What binds them isn’t soft love. It’s possession. Obsession. A hunger that destroys everything it touches. Damian doesn’t love quietly. He takes. He holds on. And he doesn’t let go—even when he knows he should. As Daisy is pulled deeper into her father’s ruthless mafia empire, she uncovers a deception far greater than it first appears. What begins as a single detail unravels into a revenge no one saw coming- Some stories aren’t what they seem. And the deeper you go, the darker it becomes.
I AM WRECKED 🫠… This series was so freaking good and I cannot wait for Tristan’s story!
I somehow wanted Tristan and Daisy to end up together, because they felt so perfect for each other. He was her light in the darkness. The darkness being Damian and all the traumatic events she endured.
But Tristan has his own darkness, and I think I know what’s it about (aka. the kind-of-reveal at the ending).
The moment where Damian finally admitted he loves Daisy gave me the feeling I could breathe again. Of course he loves her 🥰. We already knew that because of everything he did for her, but we just needed to “hear” him say it.
I also don’t know where Daisy’s strength kept coming from, because I would’ve been broken a long time ago if I was her. She’s such an impressive woman with a strong and stubborn will. I adore her!
Wow….I have been waiting patiently for this book since I’ve read the first one and boy did I devour it in less than 24 hours. Daisy is the daughter of Franco the powerful mafia leader. Daisy left New York to get away from Damian. Damian is obsessive and possessive and doesn’t love like a normal person. He protects what is his through violence especially when it comes to Daisy. He was suppose to just watch over her but she unleashed something in him he couldn’t just let her go. I loved their story and how Damian would burn the world down for her. This book isn’t your typically dark romance book. It’s about obsession and control and a love that goes back and forth until they realize they can’t let one another go. Broken was intense and toxic in the best way possible. I couldn’t put it down. If your into the emotional damage, obsession and control type you should definitely read both the Broken book. It will destroy you and put the pieces back together.
Daisy realizes she needs distance from Damian—even as her heart claws its way back to him, desperate, aching, refusing to let go. She returns to Rome—the city of her childhood, of her father… where he is the law, and where her deepest trauma was born. A familiar place, yet one that never truly felt like home. A new job, a controlled environment—or so she tells herself. Because somehow, inevitably, she falls straight into the wolf’s arms again. And when the truth finally surfaces, it hits harder than anything else: their worlds were never that far apart to begin with. Daisy fights it. Fights the pull, the hunger, the sick, consuming need. She tries to drag herself away from the dark abyss that is Damian—something twisted, dangerous, addictive. She searches for light, for something safe… but the heart is a traitor. It always wants what it shouldn’t. “And I fell—straight into the only abyss that ever belonged to us. I wanted to fall. I craved the depths. There was nothing else I wanted… except this darkness between us.”
This book jumps straight in from the end of the first and does not slow down.
Daisy is pulled deeper into her father’s mafia world. There is a war building and she is taken as a bargaining chip and put through hell.
She loves Damian, but he does not show love in a soft way. For him it is control and possession. She is his and no one else’s.
The touch her and die energy is intense here. He would destroy anyone who even looked at her wrong.
I didn’t think anything could top the first book, but this one did. I read it in four hours and could not put it down. I was completely gripped the whole way through.
You feel like you shouldn’t love Damien, but you do. You feel like you should choose Tristan, but you don’t.
This is the kind of book that stays with you afterwards and that you keep replaying in your head.
Please check your triggers with this one. I already cannot wait for the next book.
Hands down one of the best dark romances I’ve read! I finished the books within a couple of days. Can’t wait for the next book in the series to see what happens next, such a twist at the end of book 2!
There is nothing redeemable about Damian Miller. He’s a walking red flag 🚩 and everything you warn your daughter, sister, or girlfriend to stay away from. A psychotic narcissist, he has become obsessed with Daisy Elfhorn, a beautiful and intelligent young woman who studied Art History, specialising in ancient manuscripts and detecting forgeries. She’s also his new employee at his antique shop in Cold Spring. Damian is a man who takes, breaks and ultimately destroys anyone who comes too close to him. A lone wolf who refuses to let her go, no matter what, and I hated him for what he did to her.
What I really enjoyed about this series is the story that unfolded. The dark, unpredictable, and dangerous world of the Italian mafia and the black market dealings in the antiques world. I enjoyed book two way more than the first one, and it was probably because of Tristan, the quiet, steady anchor in Daisy’s life while she was working in Rome. I kept hoping Daisy would choose him so many times, and then the twist at the end threw a spanner into everything I thought was happening in the story. I guess I’ll have to wait and see what happens with everyone in book three.
After the first book, you better believe I jumped into this one.
Damian, is still an a$$hole but as they say you can’t help who you love. Daisy, is all over the place because of him though she has Tristan who shows her compassion, a listening ear and offers her safety, all the things Damian can’t. Yet, they are all drawn into the darker side of the mafioso, where Franco needs his daughter to be safe even though he himself puts her in compromising situations. Damian, can’t help himself with his own possessiveness toward her in one hand yet thwarts her with the other. We are taken through a series of incidents, other clans drawing in and one danger they didn’t expect but should have, as it can cause more damage to the clan and their relationship 😬
I couldn’t put it down, I needed to know…will her love be lost, will she turn to the one who offers safety? At times it was a tense read, the emotions, there were spicy times that you thought may help them, for it to fizzle out but the draw to one another remained. Valeria’s writing ensures you are turning the pages to keep up with the back n forth, the ups and downs inevitably leading us to an ending that well, gives us answers but also entices us with more questions 🤭
Omg this book was one heck of a ride. Damien is just so frustrating and I did not like him very much but couldn't help but feel a twinge of empathy for him.
Daisy is too dang oblivious for her own good, she starts to see the truth but still dresses it better than it is. She knows something is bad, dangerous and down right suicidal and still skips right into it like it's a Sunday picnic.
Tristan i like, but with the ending of this book it has me gasping and thinking is he worse than Damien as he is the monster that hides in plain sight. He seemed so sweet like he could be the better choice for Daisy but the ending had me reevaluating that thought.
I cannot wait for Tristans' book and figuring out what he and Damien are up to. what will happen to Franco and will Daisy forgive them for whatever is to come.
Ok. I may need more mental health because I was not only addicted to her first book but I am full on addicted to her second book. I kept reading every second I could because I could not stop. 😹 I'm already salivating at the mouth for the third book especially with the crazy twist and cliffhanger ending. I want to be the bird sitting on her window ledge reading as she types out the third book.
Even when her male characters are walking red flags, I still find myself drawn to Damian and Tristan especially with the way she describes him. We still follow Daisy and Damian directly after the ending of the first book, while they are in Rome with her father.
This is a dark mafia romance and it does get dark. Do not expect romance or soft sweet kisses or healing love. Read the triggers to make sure you're ok before going head long into this series. Because you will want to go head long with the first book into the second book with no breaks.
I received an advance copy and I am writing this truthful review of my own volition.
Just finished Broken Part 2 by Valeria Morgan and I’m honestly impressed. The story pulls you in right from the beginning and keeps building with so much emotion and tension. The characters feel real and layered, and you can really feel their struggles, growth, and the complicated relationships between them. What I loved most is how the book balances intense, heartbreaking moments with hope and resilience. The writing style is engaging and easy to get lost in, making it hard to put the book down once you start reading. Every chapter adds something meaningful to the story and keeps you curious about what will happen next. If you enjoy emotional stories with strong character development and plenty of drama, Broken Part 2 is definitely worth the read. It’s a powerful continuation that leaves a lasting impression.
Absolutely devoured it ! I was lucky enough to be an arc reader for the first book and boy oh boy did book 2 not disappoint.
Everything got so much more real and deeper in book 2 . The attention to detail in every character and chapter were fantastic.
I did feel like something was missing all the way through until I got to the very end -then I understood . I needed more from a certain character but all made sense in the very last few lines .
“She never realised the real monster was the one you don’t see coming.”
I can’t wait to continue on with the story and fill in that missing piece !
As always a massive thank you to Valeria for writing beautifully and getting me hooked from the moment that arc hit my inbox all those months ago
Both books was quite interesting to read. Couldn't put them down, because I really wanted to know what's next. But I was and still am disappointed about ending. Of course there was trigger warnings about the story - about toxic relationship, but toxic relationship can't end with both of them (Daisy and Damian) riding happily off to the sunset. Thats just stupid and gross. There was no love. I really hoped that Daisy could find love with Tristan, but no. Yes, maybe Tristan was just as dark as Damian bet there was something more human in him than in Damian. Tristan was there for Daisy and I think thats more important than mind blowing sex with Damian that includes choking. I think Damian is incorrigable and sick.
Who doesn't love when 2 broken souls find each other and hold on tight even if they are toxic for each other. Damian and Daisy are 2 people who should not be together but they can't stay away from each other. Both have broken pieces inside of them, but hey who doesn't these days. People keep trying to keep them apart, he pushes her away and then keeps coming back just as she starts to move forward. He is so possessive it is ridiculous, but if I had a man like this in my life, I wouldn't turn him away either. I am glad we got some of the story from Tristan's POV as well. I can't wait for his story! xoxo

So, this is book 2, and you absolutely have to read book 1 first or you’ll be lost. That being said, it’s darker than book one so please read the warnings if you do decide to read it.
This story is good, and while Daisy and Damian get what they want, it’s not a fairy tale happily ever after. It’s full of dark, twisted roads filled with things trying to tear them apart.
We get new characters in book 2, and one of them - Tristan - will be getting his own story. I can’t wait for that, and do hope we get glimpses of Damian and Daisy again.
This is not a hero. He’s severely damaged and can’t be helped, frankly. She of course loves him regardless.
The son of the dead guy that assaulted Daisy ends up taking her and torturing her. This part is mercifully brief and not too detailed but still traumatic. Read your triggers if sadism bothers you.
KU read and while this is better than book one, it’s still not excellent. I can’t say that I really liked it but it did provide more insight and depth into their relationship. He’s still a psychopath though.
Book 2 picks up with them in Rome with her dad and his clan. Damian is still the touch her a die personality.
I wish Daisy chose different but you can’t help who you live and who you’ll destroy it all for.
I’m glad she had Tristan around to offset the intensity of Damian. He tried to get her to see the world she was walking into without flushing her or persuading her.
With his book 2 ended, I’m ready for Tristan’s story and how this plot continues!
I read this book and honestly understood almost nothing. The story felt confusing and disconnected to me from beginning, I also found Daisy to be a very weak main character, and many of her decisions seemed naive and frustrating rather than meaningful or intelligent. Because of that, it was hard for me to connect with the story or care about what happened. Unfortunately, this book just wasn’t for me.
It felt like a letdown to get to the end and have it end the way it did. It’s anger and hurt and pain the whole way. I mean Damian finally admits to loving Daisy in the end and it still felt painful and horrid.
I liked Tristan so much. I want his HEA more than Daisy’s or Damian’s. I don’t know if I’ll read his story, as I think I need a bit more actual romance and actual happy HEA. This one is dark and awful and stays that way even while doing the HEA, which is just pain.
Wow. Just wow. The whole book had me hooked! Great story, a plot twist I didn't see coming. Does she end up with the wrong man? I'll leave that up to the readers, however, I know which one I'd choose 😉
I cannot wait to read the next part of this story. Will it be a trilogy or more?!?
This book picks up where book one left off. It took a minute to remember what had happened before so if you haven’t read book 1 you will be lost in book 2. This book is not a stand alone. That being said it was a great book! The suspense and emotions in this book just keeps you reading page over page.
I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first. For me It was too much back and forth but nothing that really gave a progressing storyline…. Until the end!
There was also the storyline about the fake antique which kind of got lost but there was alot of build up too.
This was almost a 3 star but the ending really pulled it back up for me.
Maybe book 3 will tie it all together again.

I did not want this book to end and when it did I cried lucky it was left with an opening for more to come so I hope there is cause there is so more to Daisy even with two books I felt I was only just getting to know her but Damian he was jumping of the pages but still keeping something back for just in case. Yes its dark but its a hell of a read and so well written loved every page.
This book was everything I didn't know I needed! This is the second book in the "Broken" series, and I've just got to say, Valeria DID NOT disappoint! I legit felt all the feels during this roller coaster and never even saw the end coming! Waiting on the third book is going to KILL ME🥴🤣
Totally hooked on these books, this is not a love story but a story of distruction. Would we ever want to be Daisy...no..but she understands what she is. Can't wait for Tristians book
Love love love loved part 2!!! Dare I say even more the book 1???? No but honestly once again Valeria wrote a book that has seeped into my soul! Amazing amazing amazing!!! You definitely have to read this!!
This book took me in and wouldn’t let go. The three main characters and the love and darkness that controls them. The love has relationship with them. A definite love story for each dark romance lover.
If you haven't read book 1 and finished with this one, you are missing out. Dark, twisted and keeps you turning the page. Your emotions will be all over the place.
