WOW!!! GLH did it Again. This is book 10 in the Fallen Guardians Series and it did not disappointment. This installment focuses on Race (Eracier), the reclusive Dragon shifter, who was there for his brethrens when he was needed, but did not interact with the other Guardians. The traumas that Race endured, left him scared and cold hearted and finding a mate was the last thing he could ever imagine, but Fate had other plans for him. Enters Ash, who was on a mission to find Janika, in the hopes that this person could help her to understand her emerging powers, of controlling the weather. Believing Ash to be a witch, the villagers tried to killer her, but Race stepped in and saved her life. Race knew that Ash was a Psionic, a descended from the powerful Watchers, but also knew he needed to take Ash to Michael, the ARC Angel, for confirmation. Unfortunately, before he could get Ash to Michael, she was kidnapped and taken to the one place Race vowed never to return, his home, the realm of Lemuria. Knowing that Ash was under his protection, Race has no other choice, but to retrieve her from Lemuria, which also meant, he had to deal with his past. What a great read!!! This was a page turner from beginning to end and has everything you want in a PNR. I highly recommend this book. Although Tempest Rising can be read as a standalone, I suggest to start at the beginning of the series to get a full understanding of the storyline, the characters and the roll each couple plays in the series.

I’m absolutely obsessed with this book. I devoured it!!! If you need someone to yell about how amazing this series is, I’m your person. And Race? Our grumpy, broody dragon shifter? I did not expect this from him. I fell in love him him!! We’ve met him in some of the other books, he’s a total loner, keeps to himself, barely talks with the other guardians. But I loved his internal discussions with his dragon. Everything changes though, when Ash quite literally crashes into him, while fleeing a horde of villagers.

Ash is on a mission to learn more about her birth mother. Her fiancé leaves her for not being “good enough,” and that really sticks with her and changes how she sees herself, especially when it comes to Race. But she’s also incredibly spunky, and honestly, probably the only person who can get him to open up and actually talk. He’s a man of very few words, but Ash brings out something mor in him. They’re both so hurt from their past, that neither of them wants to admit just how strong their feelings and attraction is.

I loved this book so much, and I cannot wait for the next book in the Fallen Guardians series!

Tempest Rising is another awesome addition to the Fallen Guardians series, Georgia Lyn Hunter never disappoints!
This story has everything, love, betrayal, sacrifice, adventure… Race’s story is a reclaiming of all that he is despite the pain and trauma of his past. I love Ash’s sense of humor and feisty attitude. And with her by his side, Race can move mountains. With determination and love they can conquer anything in their way! I love this Dragon!
