The Book of Psalms is one of the most beloved books of the Bible. Its songs are a source of comfort, a touchstone for worship, and a means to put words to the deepest aches and longings of the human heart. In this devotional, Derek Prince brings insights from the Psalms through 101 meditations that are personal, enriching, and practical for everyday life. Each meditation is based on a specific passage, develops a theme, and concludes with a one-sentence faith response. Prince, who lives in Jerusalem, draws on his comprehensive knowledge of Scripture, his understanding of Hebrew culture and language, and his personal experience to capture something of the heart of David, and of God. As Prince unfolds the eternal truths of the Psalms, he highlights seven main

I so loved this book. Derek Prince is one of my favorite authors. I have read many of his books. Not one of them deserved less than 5 stars, including "Through the Psalms with Derek Prince". This one was a devotional. I usually have trouble with those as I want to read them through like a novel. But I did so much better with this one reading only one or two entries at a time. Each one is only two pages and the book is small, so not a ton of reading, but each one is packed with spiritual truth! He takes us through several Psalms to encourage and challenge us in our walk with God. Recommended for any age. It also makes a great gift!
I used this book as a daily devotional and it worked great. The chapters are short enough and only take a few minutes to read. Derek Prince does a great job as your guide as you explore the Psalms. His commentary and the slower pace of reading the Psalms as a daily devotional allowed me to ponder and meditate on new & old truths alike. If you are looking to refresh your time in God's word and your relationship with Him, Through the Psalms with Derek Prince is a great resource.
I thought this devotional was pretty good. It's kind of nice that you can read it every day if you want to but you don't have to since it's not a read a section every day for each month kind of devotional. You can read this devotional over a longer length of time without getting behind. I started this devotional at the beginning of this year and just finished it at the end of the year.
I think this is the same book as "Chords from David's Harp" by Prince but under a different title. A good bed-time read through a particular verse in one of the Psalms, along with about 1-2 pages of comments from Prince.
I used this book as devotional during my quiet times. It was perfect for that. Short meditations on the Psalms were very inspirational and helped get my day off to a good start. This is one of my favorite Derek Prince books.
Derek Prince, my favorite all time Bible teacher did a beautiful job going through the Psalms and his insight was spot on. I was a little disappointed this morning when I realized I had read the last one yesterday! What made the devotional even more heartfelt was knowing he wrote this book at the end of his life during a personal battle. I read this book as a daily devotional and I highly recommend it.
