When Clint "Grim" Walker left for elite training, he never expected the opportunity that was waiting. Suddenly the only thing he's ever wanted for his career collides with the only woman he's ever loved. Will Clint be able to survive his biggest challenge yet, or be left to suffer pure insanity?
Didn't really enjoy it as much as the others. I really wanted Clint to make Haven work more to get back in his good graces. But X made it out to be more Clint's fault which pissed me off. I did enjoy watching them grow and finding each other again. Wasn't as sexy or as much of an emotional rollercoaster like the others. Kind of missed the angst. Glad Glove was back to be the comic relief but LOL that Mandy tamed that. Good for her. I liked Jazz too. Can't forget about my boy Lordy either. The end was my favorite bit. When he was visited by his mom and that epilogue, awww I cried. I hope we get a book with JD someday soon.
I can't wait for you to get your hands on Clint and Haven's insane conclusion. These two have had to endure so many hardships, that would normally rip apart your soak until nothing is left. We left off with Clint leaving For his training and Haven had shattered his trust. But, I honestly think they both were at fault in Chaos. Now we get to see what has happened after the months he is gone. When he returns home will he be able to to salvage the one thing that made him feel alive again. As for Haven, a once broken girl has now grew into a strong woman. But, her only problem is the man who made her that way still thinks she is his broken angel that still needs his protection. Can she get him to see the light, and mend their broken past, so their future can be whole. In this installment you are going to want a tall glass of wine, and maybe a few tissues. I know that I needed them. I honestly can't wait for you to see the healing process in Clint and Haven's journey, and the final stages of the Walker men come to light. After three books you will finally get to see the real Walker, and what the past has done to him and his family. I will always love " Grim ", but Clint is what ever woman needs!!!
Xavier~ you have done an outstanding job with this story, and their ending is what they deserved. I can't wait to keep reading about them as we head into Lordy and Glove's stories!!!!
Clint and Haven have issues I mean I gave the boy some major props for holding himself back, "I really hate to have to say this, but we have to get up." My body's reaction to being so close to her has me groaning. I shift so my c*** doesn't knock against her. Effing ba****." Once you know both Haven and Clint removed their heads from their butts it was a pleasant story to read, but they both have bad timing in wanting to have sex, "my c*** stiffens harder in my boxers just as my phone vibrates again reminding me I have to go. I have to effing leave. Worst timing. Reluctantly, I pull my lips from hers, I whisper, "Angel. I gotta go." I'm glad to see this chapter close I would love it if some of Clint's boys got a story of their own.
Xavier Neal totally amazed me. I guess it is safe to say I'be been part of this series journey since the first book and INSANITY is my favorite, it may sound so cliché but yeah Xavier has pulled the "save the best for last" in this series. I totally love how she managed to pull off everything on this book—all the unanswered questions in Havoc and Chaos has been put into closure in this book. What keeps me so pumped reading Insanity is the when Clint, Lordy and Glove become part of HORN and well that's where Jazz came into the picture! I want to be like her, seriously?! It's my bad ass dream job and I don't really have ill feelings for all her actions in this book because I know it is PART of her job as Clint's (Lordy and Glove's) superior. For Haven, I totally get her... Even when her secrets has been revealed, i really do understand her because we all make mistakes and I love that she rise to that mistakes and be brave about facing her past. When it comes to Whiskey (Clint's father), omg! I can't just fathom his pain.. I now totally understand his reasons, his feelings, the way he acted when his wife died. There's a certain scene in this book that made me cry and wish I could have that few minutes of chance like Clint! (i don't want to give more details and spoil the book). If I were to sum it all up, I love how the author made this book so raw! I like how she showed that we are not perfect, life is not perfect, we all do make mistakes and we are accountable for all our actions but a past is a past and we should live on the present, learn to forgive and carry on in life without grudges. It is moving, action-filled and also about love and family. This book ends in HEA, Clint and Haven deserved it and as their story ended I am so looking forward to read more about Glove and Lordy's.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Part three in the Havoc series. After the conclusion of book two. I knew this one would be an emotional rollercoaster. Grim is finishing up at sniper school and is still trying to block any thought of Haven. Even though he still loves her he can't get past what happened and he feels so betrayed and broken. Yet he knows when he returns home she is still going to be there and he will have to see her. Haven wants Grim back but she also wants him to see her as a strong women. Not someone broken he needs to take care of.
This was the ultimate conclusion to Grim and Haven's relationship. They have both grown and become better people through it all. At times I didn't like Haven trying to making it seems as if Grim was at fault. She wasn't innocent in the whole thing. Yes they should have communicated better. Grim being hurt like that was bound to fall back into his past. It was how he coped with everything that went on in his life. The truth comes out about his parents and why his father can't move on from his wife's death. Glove found a women he is willing to give up his player ways for and their new boss and Lordy has sparks flying between them. Looking forward to reading their stories.
Im happy that Grim and Haven got their happy ending but there were some things throughout the book that just bothered me which is the reason I didn't give the 5 stars. First I love that Grim didn't give in so easily and fast to Haven when he got back im happy that he gave her shit for what she did to him in book 2. I know he loves her but she did him dirt and she seriously didn't deserve him but im glad she fought for their relationship and as much as he pushed away she kept on until they finally made up. What I didn't like was how everyone pushed Grim to forgive her so easily, for him to just move on with her and put that issue behind them obviously they have never been cheated on its not that easy to just put it behind you. The ending kind of left me hanging because they are on a mission to get "The Face" but it just stopped after he got shot and then nothing. I love Jazz her character her boldness and im happy she will be Lordy's girl as well as Glove and mandy. Overall it was a good ending to the series emotional at times but I did like it.
Can someone please help me why this book is only 238 pages!?!? Please? It's one those books you never want to end. It is freaking amazing! I love how the author literally changed everything up. I love the first two books in this series, but Insanity shows how much she has excelled as an author.
Insanity has the twists and turns to keep the prose interesting from start to finish. The allure of Clint and Haven's chaotic relationship is intense and oh so sweet. The progress they both make as individuals with more to contribute to the other partner in the relationship is beyond satisfactory. They are presented with opportunities to over come their nightmates, face their fears, and finally enjoy their life together.
Falling in love with Clint and loving Haven, and the rest of the family, more has been made possible with the release of Insanity.
My first marine series and I loved it xavier I think your creating a monster in me *covers eyes*
Grim was a man solely on a mission to do his bit to protect his country until... One day haven crashed into his life as things would never be the same for him again... He began to lose sight of grim and found himself becoming more clint, slugger the persons whom he tried his hardest to disconnect from... Haven had the perfect start to life. Two loving parents a happy home but unfortunate events lead to her falling in to grims life, desperately trying to excape what her life had become.
Does grim manage to calm his internal battle and find a happy place all while trying to forge relationships with others?? Can he find peace within himself?? Will he ever be able to trust again??
Xavier has done it again. Another amazing series with possibilities for more books to come. ️Xx
I could not put down this book. I have been intrigued and captivated from the first book. The storylines were well written and the storytelling was great. Another emotional rollercoaster ride of a story. On to book four.
Y’all, I’m SHOOK!!! The suspense of all the family stuff, his career, will Clint and Haven work their relationship out?!? Edge of my seat read, with this series, Xavier!!!!!!
O wow. This series was an emotional one. I loved it. My words can't do it justice. So I will only say read it. You. Must. Thank you. Ms. Neal. I loved it. Read all three books in two days. Will read again. And was pleasantly surprised when l discovered Glove and Lordly had their own books. Thanks again
I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!!!
Grim finally has the offer he has been working his whole career towards; when his career collides with the only woman he has ever loved, will he be able to keep it together? Or will it drive him to insanity?
What a total plot twist Insanity turns out to be; Xavier Neal will rip your heart out, throw it to the lions then slowly glue it back together. Grim has everything he has worked towards right at his finger tips; the job doesn’t come without its challenges though. Xavier had me in tears, hysterics, and sat on the edge of my seat! This story is full of action from the very start; I could feel each emotion Grim was going through as he fought with his feelings towards his career, his family and Haven. We see a change to Glove and Lordy in this book; nothing drastic just a sign of the pair maturing and looking for what their heart truly desires. Haven has certainly matured since the last book and I now have a better understanding of how she felt and why she made some of the choices she did. Without a doubt Grim’s ending left me in tears, the ending is truly beautiful. I can’t wait to read Glove and Lordy’s stories!
If you love Military romances with suspense, action, humour and plot twists you will absolutely love the Havoc Series by Xavier Neal.
Finally!! Now, this is a book I can enjoy!!! Neal stepped up her game with Insanity because frankly this book is an insanely good read. There were so many times I wanted to give up reading in the first two books, but I knew deep down I had to keep coming. The ugly tears flowed as Grim makes life altering decisions while Neal ripped my heart to shreds. The plot twists in this book alone make it worth the struggle bus ride I had with Havoc and Chaos. Sure, the frustrating drama is still there, but for the first time, I am seeing Grim clearly as a character. Haven and Grim’s relationship has been far from conventional, but for it to end like this, made everything worth it. This book perfectly balances the drama, romance, heartbreak, and forgiveness. Just a like a Good Marine, you learn to carry on and fight for what you want in life and in love. Just like these characters, life is far from perfect, but at the end of the day, the ride was truly worth it. With some things, it just takes a little bit of time to find out who you truly are and what you want in your life.
So happy for Clint and Haven. They early had to fight for their HEA. Each had their own struggles to tackle before they could commit to each other. Clint had a long road of healing with his father. Watching their relationship grow from the cold distant one in Havoc was great character development. Clint and his father had to deal with Jaime's death-the flashbacks were a great way to show how close Clint was to his mother and how much he loved and misses her. Clint has to deal with being a marine and his other persona Grim which comes out occasionally. Haven is thrown into Clint's world and turns it upside down. She makes him feel for the first time. She has her own scars from past to heal, and sometimes it gets in the way of their relationship. She has to reinvent herself into the only woman Clint will ever love. The side characters offered a lot too. Lordy and Glove were definitely comic relief, but they have Clint's back and loyalty no matter what. There's Mindy, Clint's mother figure, and everyone else really. She helps Whiskey and Haven, without expecting anything in return-true family. Great story,4*
I have to say I am pretty happy with the conclusion to Haven and Clint's story. I fell in love with them right away since book one and I was very curious as to how the author would end their story. I loved it. This is definitely a military story I will recommend because it is well written and the romance part is not cheesy or eye rolling. I love how the author fixed the problem between them and she made it believable, it wasn't forced and didn't read as fake to me. Their love story was also one that was believable and I love how Alpha he is and how strong all the characters in the story are, even Haven who was by all means allowed to be weak, wasn't. I loved Jazz and of course I am still in love with Lordy and Glove and I'm happy they are getting their stories told, they needed their own stories. This part of the story has romance, action, mystery and some suspense. It has a little bit of everything and will keep you reading for sure. HEA ending. Will recommend reading book 1 and 2 before this one in order as they are very important in the story or you will be super lost.
This series has had me wrapped up for Two days. I couldn't put it down. Clint and Haven are a force of love that can't be destroyed. they have there trials and with them broken up, it kills you because they know they love each other but struggle to make it happen. Still dealing with the loss of his mother and finding out what really happened the day she died, you finally get to the bottom of the mess they all have created. Why father and son can't truly be father and son. and they are still dealing with Havens passed. can these Two finally fix themselves and be together or is it not in the cards? This series definitely keeps you on the edge, crying happy and praying for their love to prevail. this series is definitely a must read and recommended for a mature audience. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Ah I really don't know where to start as I'm currently an emotional wreck after finishing this book!
Xavier certainly didn't disappoint with Insanity! I absolutely loved it! Somehow this series continued to get better and this was no exception!
I just love the bromance between Grim, Lordy and Glove! I'm glad there was no shortage of them in insanity! There's always the perfect amount of everything in these books, laughs, tears, shouting at your book in frustration.. haha that might just be me actually! Thank you Xavier for the perfect ending too! You won't regret reading this book I assure you! Highly recommend! Reviewer from Book reviews and Take-overs :)
I really enjoyed this military series...I wasn't sure if Haven and Clint were going to get their HEA. Especially after all the stuff that happens in the 3rd book which I have to say that was my favorite because it was action packed and I had no idea what was going to happen. It wasn't predictable. Just addicting when you finished the first you had to read the second and the then the second book leaves you hanging and when you pick up the third you are glued to it and won't put it down until you've finished it. I can't wait to read Glove and Lordy's books which are the next two in the series. Thanks Xavier Neil for making my first military read very enjoyable.
Just as good as the first two. I think this book had me running more emotions. I was mad, teary eyed, and laughing at different times through this book. There was a spot in the book I had to put the book down because of what I thought was going to happen. I must say that I was glad I was wrong :) I really like how lordy and glove seem to have bright futures to look forward too. At least that is how I interpreted things. I can't say what they are as it would ruin it. I also like how in this book father and son are able to final move forward and let go. Letting go sometimes is a hard thing. They did it together.
This series has been amazing with each book just getting better and better. The twists and turns in the plot are amazing and keep you at the edge of your seats. The friendship, loyalty and love between Clint, Glove and Lordy is just incredible. Clint and Haven continue on their journey of love, forgiveness, understanding and compromise. They are learning that life it's not always easy and that struggles are part of it. The story is so totally gripping it's just impossible to put down and ......did I mentioned it's got some very hot scenes too? This series has it all, intrigue, suspense, love,friendship......everything to make it an awesome read.
Another nail biting and emotional read, it keeps you on edge wondering if Clint and Haven will ever work things out. Its almost painful at times with all the new stuff that Clint finds out about his family along with changes in his career and trying to sort things with Haven, you know they love each other but with his work calling every time they get a minute to actually talk you start to get impatient. This is a great series if like a really emotional story full of ups and downs, twists and turns. I have literally gone from finishing one to starting the next, keeping the continuation going. Great read.
I absolutely loved the series... one of my all favorites!!!! The third book of Clint and Haven's story is one that I have been dying to time read!!!! and let me tell you... it did not disappoint! it has the intensity and love that was expected and so much more!!!! It introduced you to other characters that you want to hate, but end up loving at the same time. Clint frustrated me throughout but he came thru like I knew he would!!!! Xavier Neal is such an incredible writer, and captivates you from the beginning and keeps you sucked in. I absolutely LOVED it!
A GREAT continuation in the Havoc Series! It starts right where it left off. You get a better understanding for things that might have pissed you off in Chaos (Havoc book 2). I fall harder for Clint with every book! He's come a long way. So has Haven, for that matter. Her point of view on how everything came about turned my issues with her around. Man, I love these two! I can not wait for Glove and Lordy's books! They're going to be epic additions to an already AMAZING series!!
This series was amazing! The pace was great, the storyline was intriguing and captivating, and the characters were very relatable.
Clint "Grim" Walker has a very complex family dynamic. The more you read, the more entrenched you'll become. Life as he knew it changed drastically at the age of 10 when his mother died. Instead of becoming the pro baseball player everyone felt he was destined to become, he put down the bat and glove, and focused on being fit and prepared to become the best Marine he could be.
You can't predict this one. And you'll definitely not be able to put it down!
Wow this book took the icing off the cake. i thought this series was epic and i will be reading it again and again. Xavier you had me from page one book one and i stayed til the end and loved every minute i had with them. I loved how you took something and made them both realize it was both their faults not just one of them. i know some people may or may not get it but that's ok. i love how their chemistry never really died. LUV IT
If you're anything like me, you died a little at the conclusion of book 2 (Chaos). This book answers ALL of those nagging questions I had, and gives so much more! Insanity is an apt name for this one. So many crazy things happen to these beloved characters! I had a really hard time putting it down... for any reason... If you've read Havoc and Chaos, you need to read Insanity. If you haven't, what are you waiting for?
In Clint's chaotic life full of insanity, his emotions begin to wreak havoc on his brain and soul. In the conclusion of this series Grim realizes he wants to live instead of chasing death. Many relationships are being repaired. Letting go of the past is not always an easy task, but all involved have to learn to do it some how. This one made me tear up a few times. There is a lot of heart ache, happiness, and drama. I highly recommend this series to any one who Loves a "Good Marine"
I can't tell you how much I loved this book and this series. It's such an amazing story and I couldn't put it down. Clint and Haven are such amazingly strong characters. And the love they share is so beautiful. Am so glad I read this book and this series. I highly recommend. You will laugh, cry, and love all the books in this series. I can't wait to read about Glove and Mandy's story next!
