Rate this book
He wanted peace. He got a temptation he can't control.Don Dante Marini doesn't negotiate. He annihilates. But ending a bloody war means claiming Luca Ferretti—the young inexperienced Omega. Dante tells himself it is business.

Then Luca walks in, smelling like frost and forbidden things, and every calculated thought ignites into primal, possessive fire.

Luca didn't choose this man, this bond, or the way Dante watches him like prey. He signed to save his family, not to become some Alpha's plaything. He meets Dante's iron will with sharp words and colder shoulders.

Because when Dante's control finally snaps, Luca discovers the line between hatred and desire burns.

Now Dante's mark is on his neck, his ring on his finger, and somewhere beneath the fury and the arranged marriage and the enemy who keeps finding reasons to be everywhere.

One contract bound them.
One knot will claim him.
One unexpected heir will make their fragile peace a war for everything.

A steamy non-shifter dark mafia omegaverse romance featuring a reluctant arranged marriage, a possessive mafia alpha, a young inexperienced omega, knotting, hear and rut, male pregnancy, and a happily ever after.

Interesting

This is the story of a young omega sacrificed by his father to protect territory. Luca and Dante eventually develop a relationship they can live with and the experience changes them both. Worth reading.

I enjoyed it - to a point. There was certainly a lot of heat as promised by the series name but there was minimal character development and quite a few plot holes. It also ended rather abruptly. There was a lot of potential to produce a really good book out of this but sadly, it didn't deliver. As I suspect the other books in the series will follow a similar pattern, I doubt that I'll be tempted to read any of them.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to discover it was produced by AI.
