A shot rings out and someone inside a busy coffee shop is killed by a long-range sniper. The very next day, another victim is claimed by the sniper who simply goes by the name Vendetta. And the next day, there’s another victim.

With each sniper killing, Philadelphia homicide detective Kyle Simmons has a disturbing gut feeling that keeps growing: Each victim is someone he personally knows.

As the body count climbs, Vendetta delivers an ultimatum: There will be one new victim each day until she’s caught or Kyle Simmons becomes her latest victim.

The countdown has begun and now Detective Simmons is on the clock. Can he stop Vendetta before she strikes again?

Lying prone on a rooftop with her rifle in her hand, Vendetta is waiting for the right moment to shoot her target and cause chaos into the nearby coffee-shop. Who is going to be her future victim?
Detective Kyle Simmons was on his way to work when he stopped at his favorite coffee-shop to grab his morning fix only to discover that he should go somewhere else to get it. That cozy little place had been turned into a bedlam.
I guess someone was really pissed off with the coffee served in that city. Or it had something to do with sexy Kyle Simmons.
Despite stopping the Sandman in “Countdown” (Book 2 in the Series), Detective Simmons hasn’t earned his Chief’s favor yet. But this is not his only problem to be solved.
There’s never a dull moment in E. G. Michaels’ books. They are all full of action, meaningful events and witty dialogues. E. G. Michaels has a humorous and crafty voice in telling his stories.
I read “On the clock” in one sitting. I was captivated by how well the story was told, so thoroughly and steadily. It’s a book extremely well written, pulling you in with each page, anxious about what’s next.
A detective story you don’t want to miss.
“On the clock” is part of the “Kyle Simmons Thriller” Series but it can be read as a stand-alone. As for me, I’ve read them all!

*A Copy of this Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review*

Though part of a series this is an excellent stand alone, well worth the five stars I gave it. One thing I particularly like is that the readers knows everything the hero Kyle knows, making it so much more interesting. There are plenty of twists and turns and a particularly well thought out ending.
I can practically guarantee that anyone reading it will become a fan of Kyle Simmons and, of course, his creator.

Great Book

This is the third Kyle Simmons I've read and it did not disappoint.
I am not a wordy reviewer, I just simply rate each book for the theme, excitement, danger, believability and most importantly enjoyment.
This was a great story line as the detective winds his way through the dangers of a crazy, exlover turned shooter, as he tries to bring her down.
Look forward to the next installment of Detective Kyle Simmons Thriller

Having come into this series, on this particular book, I feel as if I'm not completely lost. Characters are already highly developed and the suspense will having you flipping through the pages, just to see how it ends. Fans of #Thrillers, #Mystery, and #Suspense will want to get their hands on this series.
