awesome

I love, love, LOVED this! First I have to give a little shout out to Gunner's first girlfriend Mindy. I don't know why... but I just love that name. ;) And I'm VERY curious about what happened to her. I mean, I know what happened to her, but I'd like to know what will happen to her later. I want Mindy to get her HEA.

Maeve is a very honest, passionate and horny little Pixie. I really like her character a lot and she stays consistent and true to herself. She's smart, strong, sexy, funny, protective and really knows how to introduce herself and get to know people. That girl knows no stranger for sure.

"Want to go into the bathrooms and fuck?"

I also really liked Gunner. He's a sweet, strong, smart, passionate and somewhat confused. He also really knows how to take a girl when she's begging for it. I'm about to go style my hair into some pigtails... just saying. He's also starting to figure some things out, but I can't really say anything else about that without giving anything away.

girls gone wild

I swear this author has a direct line to my vagina and knows how to make her purr. This is another 2 finger 1 handed read Reed. The F/F and the M/F scenes are superbly written and very erotic and filthy hot. Well done! I think what I like most about this is that with erotica you get a story but the focus is on the sexual relationship. Or at least that has been my experience. This book gives you a really good balance of both, a good story and what you expect from an erotica. So you're intrigued and engaged with the story and then all of the sudden you're turned on and.... well... I'll let you fill in the blank.

2finger1hand

There are some things that I want to mention that either caught me off guard or just made me reread a line or two. There are a couple of words missing a letter and a little bit of cheesy dialog, but some of the cheese was due to the couples playing around which was actually cute and I enjoyed it. Also, I know some people don't like it when characters are called sluts or when the word twat is used, but I really don't mind as long as everyone involved is enjoying themselves. So... I'll let you make up your own mind on that. Really, for me, everything was so damn perfect that I don't even care about any of that.

Overall, it was perfect for me. Even though there were a couple of things that may have tilted my head and squinted my eye at.... the story more than made up for it. Action, adventure, purpose, excellent character development, world building and don't forget about the amazing sex. Just an all around fantastic and very well written story and I can't wait to devour more!

Oh my god, I loved this book! And to think I ALMOST DNF’ed it!! So glad I didn’t. The story is about a mystical kingdom that needs a savior from the human world. But similar to the movie terminator, both evil and good send ambassadors to either save or destroy by seduction the protagonist. Uggh..which brings me to Maeve.

I love this pixie! Do you hear me? She is so sweet, innocent, and bubbly! Because she’s like a fae, she has these insatiable sexual qualities and is polyamorous. So yummy! But I didn’t fall in love with her character for that, it was something loving and heroic she did.

Our MC was heartbroken and she ran after him, wanting to help him. When she caught him this is what happens.

“What’s wrong, sir,” she whispered, kneeling next to him. With a trembling hand, she touched his shoulder. He flinched, looking at her, his eyes bleeding tears. “Who hurt you?” She smiled.

Ugggh!

You see, men don’t normally share emotions or pain for fear that women will use it against them. We guard that part of ourselves. But Maeve comes to him and asks the right question and offers love. Protection. Safety. A man will give anything for that safe place. Real facts!

That’s where Maeve won me, the rest of the book was just icing on the cake. Yes there’s sex and lots of it, but that emotional pull at my heart did it!

I just finished this book, and I have to say I think it's a winner. I'm going to go through the bad first, and then gush. :)

The bad: There are some spelling/formatting errors scattered throughout the text which I found distracting. Most of these are of the 'spell check reads it as ok, but it's really not' variety, such as using your instead of you're and so on. I'm a bit nitpicky when it comes to my books, and proper formatting is a must. It throws me immediately out of the story and makes me reach for my red pen.

In addition, and this is *personal preference*, some of the sex scenes were too short. HOWEVER! That being said, there are a lot of them! For the most part, they are very well written. I just wish there was more? Can that be a bad?

The good: The plot was very intriguing and MADE SENSE. Yes, of COURSE it makes sense Maeve fucks guys to see if they are the champion. It's a perfect set up. And yes, of COURSE she's open to sexual relationships--she's a faerie! Not only that, but I really loved how Reed touched on polyamory, which is something that isn't discussed a whole lot, and how it's loving people with permission of your partner. Such a great way to put it!

This is, of course, a plot heavy book, but the plot doesn't move that much, at least not initially. I would basically put it as the first act of a first novel of a trilogy. This is the Heroic Set Up where we find out who the hero is, and actions begin to brew to move against our hero. I also liked the parallels drawn between Summer and Winter, but as I read further in the series, I hope that the capriciousness of all fae--at least according to mythology--is highlighted, and how alien they can be. Of course, since it's the first book, a lot of the plot did deal with the set-up and worldbuilding, and I'm perfectly happy with that.

The sex was pretty hot, and it was plentiful. As I mentioned before, some of the scenes were short, but that's a personal preference. I would rate it 4.5 stars (I always round down when it comes to ratings), and if the formatting errors were fixed, I would probably bump it up to a five.

Reed James has definitely become skilled at interweaving paranormal erotica with the modern college world and he's writing at the top of his game in the opener to his new series. The Pixie's Passion is replete with lyrical, sensual, highly erotic language and imagery that combines an intriguing story with creative, kinky, unending sexual encounters as Maeve leaves the realm of the Fairee to journey to Tacoma in order to find the mortal champion Gunnar who will battle Winter in order to ensure eternal Summer. I cannot wait to read further entries in this beautiful and erotic story.

Wow was this fast paced, it certainly kept you wondering just what was going to happen next. The scenes are just dripping in sex, sure to excite any reader with their detailed scenes. Don't mistake me though, the book is more than just pure smut as there is a storyline interwoven into the scenes, deftly weaving everything together. This book will have you anxiously awaiting getting to read the next part of the series.

Some people think that by using a lot of names, adding a lot of erotica, they have written a novel that is worth publishing. This one takes the cake. I wonder what the author was thinking when s/he put it in Goodreads.

I love reading Reed’s books, in facts I request them. This man knows exactly how to get in and down and dirty, if you know what I mean.

The part that I found most unique was this book involved faeries! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve read and seen faeries have intercourse, but not through the eyes and fingers of Reed James!

Mauve must face obstacles for the man her heart craves, to quote Reed James:

“It falls on the slender shoulders of Maeve to find and win the Mortal Champions heart.”

The queen whose name is Mab, she sends into the hunt one of her very own trusted servants where she hopes he will find and bind the Mortal Champion to Winter in hopes of making things the way she wants them to be. With her hopes of success, she can win the balance between Summer and Winter. Queen Mab wants to win and end this war.

Gunnar will go to the small college campus in hopes to prove his own destiny. At the College there is so much to learn, and so many new things to experience that he hadn’t expected.

Pixie cannot believe what Queen Titania has chosen to do! She fears for the worst, and hopes for the best. Pixie must put forth her passion and trust her instincts and make it her goals to help with this war. She must make the right choices.

The Mortal World will soon get a surprise visit as Maeve heads there to visit it and see what she can do to help. She has but only one goal. And she can’t help but trust her heart.

I give this book five stars, it was truly an exceptional read. I wasn’t planning on reading a story like this, when Reed sent this to me, but I soon enough feel deeply in love with his work like always. His work is truly tasty, and designed to keep you wanting more, in more ways than one. I loved that there was a great story line, and a lot romance, with the perfect amount of pleasure. A truly astounding pleasing book. A must read for those who like fae’s and sex with an excellent plot twist!
