This insight into young Quinn just goes to show he is one of the good guys. He was raised to treat women well and he does. 16 year old me would have loved a Quinn in her life.
This is a glimpse of young Quin at age 16. Even then he was having dreams of a certain someone he wasn't sure he would ever meet, but he kept his heart in reserve, never planning to share it with anyone else. Despite that, Quin is a stand up guy who doesn't make false promises and always treats others with respect, but he will not offer love. His friends Weylin and Keagan are present in this one more so than Quin's parents as they all navigate through the growing pains of being hormonal teenagers.
I am a huge fan of this series, and I really enjoyed this novella. I've often wondered what happened to characters before their story began, and it's great to get an insight to Quin and his life before Layla. Can't wait for Quin 2
If you haven't read the actual Mystic Series then don't even try reading this because you won't understand a thing. I read a few of the Mystic Series a couple of years ago and recently picked this one up for free. It's not terrible but it's also not good.
