Una novela preciosa. Un día en una mansión cerca de Londres, un invitado invitado de los Coote fue asesinado. Más tarde, otra persona relacionada con el invitado asesinado, también fue asesinado. Entonces, Budle, hija del lord Carthenham, investiga, junto a la hermana del primer fallecido y Jimmy Thesiger, la muerte de ambos hombres. Una novela para jóvenes intrépidos que hacen lo que sea para no dejarse intimidar por un hombre como el superintendente Battle. El final era inesperado como muchos de los libros de la dama del crimen: Ágata Christie. Eso sí, si os veis la serie, es muy distinta que el libro. En la serie cuentan que Budle era la novia de la primera víctima y en el libro, Budle no conocía a la víctima. Y también en la serie el padre de Budle su padre ha muerto y su madre es la que vive y en el libro es al contrario.

Se me hizo un poco complicado de seguir, tenía demasiados personajes y sentí que durante el libro se perdía un poco el enfoque del inicio de la historia, fue lento hasta llegar al desenlace. Me habían encantado otros títulos de Agatha Cristie, este no fue mi favorito.
