From the Introduction: Subluxation of the vertebrae consists of injury to the ligaments, discs, cartilage, joint capsules, tendons, and other supporting tissues. Its occurrence initiates inflammation, muscle spasms, pain, and immobility. Subluxation of the vertebrae is the etiology of spinal osteoarthritis and can influence the shape of the spinal cord and brain stem and alter nervous system blood supply. This book illustrates the future degenerative consequences of subluxation.
This book offers a rational perspective on clinical anatomy and particularly how it relates to the analysis of subluxation. There are several gems within this text, my favorites being a strong case for the mechanical aetiology of arthritis, the importance of addressing the thorax and shoulder girdle in relation to the cervical spine, and the radiographic and clinical considerations for evaluating the pelvis. I would consider this essential reading for anyone who has or will have DC degree.
Better formatting and an epilogue/summary chapter would really help the overall aesthetic of the text.
