Splinter Angel: Book 3
After months of struggle, Ana is finally beginning to feel at home in the Splinter. For maybe the first time in her life, she has close friends and loyal allies. Most importantly, Ana has Mestendi, her rock, anchor, and sanctuary. If they could only be sure that what Ana feels is real and not a product of the Class that binds her to protect Mestendi, things might have been perfect.
But Ana is not at peace. The Sentinel hasn’t given up on destroying the Splinters, and now he wants Ana destroyed too. And his followers are innumerable. Even in Ana’s Splinter, despite everything they’ve been through, many still follow him, and they look at Ana with fear, contempt, or hatred. And they’re not the only ones. Many of the Stolen, people like Ana who have been torn from Earth by the Sentinel’s followers, despise her and see her as a traitor denying them the justice they crave.
So be it. Despite her enemies, despite the literal god gunning for her, Ana will not give up. She has friends, allies, a goddess backing her up, and a reason to fight. It’s only a matter of time before the Sentinel’s followers come for her, and when they do, Ana will be ready. Because Ana is nothing if not a survivor.

Great series so far, only one little annoyance
Seriously, I do love this series, and I can't wait to see how far it goes for Ana. I want to read about her visiting other splinters to get rid of the cultists and taint of the Asshole God.
That being said, I can understand why some readers roll their eyes at the co-dependency issues between Ana and her girlfriend. I kinda enjoy reading how Ana thinks through her emotions and motivations, acknowledging that they probably aren't healthy, but also just accepting it, because it doesn't really harm either of them. Their relationship is not what anyone would typically call normal, no, but this is a world where magic changes priorities and values. Ana is also someone who believes herself to be a sociopath, so she doesn't feel affection or empathy for other people like most other people, and how she feels affection for other people will be quite different from what readers might be comfortable associating with being "good" in a relationship.
I enjoy reading about Ana's thoughts on things, and her relationship, but sometimes I caught myself just skipping over sections because of how lengthy they were, re-describing just how Ana think things through when it has already been well established why she does the things she does. A shorter, more truncated version of her thoughts is all that is really needed. Perhaps more quips of her singing songs to herself in her head during battle, or even just giving more of a third-person view of how she acts around other people would be nice. Being in Ana's head all the time only gives us her view of what she is like, not how others actually view her or understand her. We do have some conversations she has with other characters that gives us clues, but sometimes it is nice to actually just see a character from that second or third person view.

Hopefully not the End
Again excellent story telling, fast paced action, great characters, and an interesting world to house it all. Certainly one of, if not the, best LitRPG I’ve read. If the series ends here, it has a reasonably satisfying ending … but there’s lots more that could be developed, and stories hinted at that remain untold. Fingers firmly crossed that there’s a book four on its way.

My favourite part of these books is Ana’s so called sociopathy it’s so fun to have her perspective and for the story to not be bogged down by moral back and forth when it comes to action. I did not care about the misery splinter chapters and was actually upset by how long it took to get through those chapters.

Escalation of challenges for the Splinter
Ana and Messy try to settle after all of the chaos after the battles over the Waystone. New minions if the Sentinel continue to wreak havoc, chaos and death on the people just trying to get by.

It started to annoy me in book two, but this instalment really took the relationship issues of the main characters too far. I got seriously tired reading about their co-dependency. If I had know where this would go, I would have skipped this series.
