An intriguing and mysterious read!

The vibe:
Gritty, dark and mysterious, set in luxury with a library to die for!

Genre/tropes: organised crime, rescue romance

No spoiler summary:
Scarlett is used to getting the short straw in life finds a safe haven with a handsome bad boy who thinks of everything to make her world better.
As the story developes, so does Scarlett, gradually showing her quiet strength and determination.
I enjoyed this book and I’m intrigued to see where the story goes. The description of the details in the library and the spaces the MMC creates shows how much he thought of everything and it’s fascinating.
The alternating POVs made it interesting, you could see how each character interpreted events differently or had shared emotions. Some of the story got a little confusing pace wise but it didn’t take away from the experience.

Rating: 4*

Recommended for: fans of organised crime/mafia romance, lovers of women who find their strength and independence despite past trauma.
