Excellent read!

This page-turner is sure to become a sci-fi classic. As the first book in the author’s new Visitor series, it sets an intriguing fast-paced story of first contact when protagonist Ranger Scott Miller and his son, Matty, along with their friends save the life of an injured alien who crash landed in California. The peaceful alien, who they name Nova, suffered amnesia from a head injury in the crash. In an attempt to help trigger his memories, they recover written instructions from the capsule the alien arrived in, apparently meant for just such an eventuality. Through that, to their collective horror, they all learn of a catastrophic threat that could wipe out all life on Earth! With the timing for the impending disaster just days away, they must try to stop it if they can.
I highly recommend this exciting story and I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!

An exciting and fun read

This book, above all else (to me, anyway), was fun! Aliens, romance, intrigue, a washed-up action hero movie star, the quintessential bad guy, the best dog, a youngster who I'm sure a lot of people will identify with, space craft, and an epilogue with promise of even more fun!

Craig is a natural and masterful storyteller, without which the story wouldn't have been as easy to read. The story flows well. It's hard to put down once you start. I completed it in two readings.

If you're a sci-fi fan and don't love this book, turn in your membership card and your secret decoder ring on your way out. Seriously.

I am not a patient fellow. I will be pacing and wearing a groove in my floor until the next book is out!

E.T. Phone home !

What an enjoyable story !. Not at all what I expected seeing the cover of the book with a comical but iconic picture of a big eyed, green alien, I nearly didn't read it as I don't like funny sci-fi stories and I like more serious books. But on reading the 1st page I realised it was a straight story not comical at all.
It grabs your attention right off and makes a believable scenario, it is a bit naive when the government gets involved, as I don't think they would be so friendly and excepting of a Alien as they are, but towards the end the armed forces are coming in , which is more believable, but it's still a good enjoying tale and I will read the next book as soon as it's released.

First time alien visitors are not all that strange a subject for many sci-fi writers. And I simply love such stories.
In the hands of Craig A Falconer this becomes an adventure second to none other and I finished reading Visitor in probably a record time, Earth having retired into a soundless background for a couple of hours.
I loved the main characters involved in meeting a genuine alien, discovering the literal explosive ending awaiting earth shortly and doing whatever they can to save Earth.
And more is to follow in the rest of the series still to be published.
Phew! I look forward to that with a lot of impatience.
Enjoy

Not your typical alien/ human interaction

Once night a park ranger, (Scott) has strange interactions with wildlife unnaturally gathering toward a central area. Weird huh? He calls his boss who investigates further and is killed in an explosion and apparent cover up. Scott was involved without really knowing and has trouble with his credibility and finding work that keeps him close to his 11-year-old son.

This story involves Scott his son and two other characters that find an alien and have the beginnings of communication and a plot with a bad guy and eventually will lead to a whole planet issue.
Check it out it's a great story.

Loved this uplifting story. Reminds me of early Heinlein books. Loved Nova. Also Diesel, who is thoroughly a dog while being a great character. Scott is a fantastic main character and is even better for being surrounded by a great team of diverse characters. I don't usually write reviews because usually by the time I read a new book, there are already thousands of reviews. But I seem to have found this story soon after it came out, so I thought I would Tell others about it.

Intense First Contact

A most unexpected scenario for a first contact with intelligent alien life. Some of the details are obscured in the past, others are exposed in the present and through it all we have Scott and crew trying to connect disparate experiences into a cohesive theory and move forward. Well crafted intrigue though the details are sometimes blurry. Ends with immediate concerns resolved, and then a new scene appears to urge the reader into the next installment.

This book is amazing. The characters are so realistic, as are the situations they end up in. There is a lot of mystery surrounding the alien and at first, the humans don't even know if it's safe to be around.

I absolutely loved this book. It's sci-fi, thriller, and mystery all in one. I highly recommend it!

Welcome Return

Falconer has returned doing what he does best ,introducing us to alien encounters. This ones hits all the usual points, interesting background , government conspiracy, cool new powers/science and of course this looks to be a few books at least. Looking forward to the next as this one promises even better to come.

Worth more than five stars

I read a lot, somewhere around 150 to 200 books a year. And mostly in the sci-fi genre.

All that really needs to be said about this book is that is a very very very compelling read with lots of twists and turns that really caught me by surprise.

I am so looking forward to the next book in the series.

dealing with extra terrestrials

What would we do if we had the opportunity to work with a being from another planet? As humans we have several different and sometimes opposite possibilities.

A heartfelt, compelling book.

I look forward to the second installment of this story. It should be as thought provoking and heartfelt as the first book. I enjoyed all of the characters but was really intrigued by Nova and Mattie.
