Alexander explains nonduality and spirituality with comics, similar to the Universe is a Dream. But the perspective is different, the symbols and words are different but he is pointing to the same thing - nonduality. This book may resonate with people that are into science or think we are in a simulation. I'm not a big fan of Digital Consciousness Theory but this hypothesis was really fun to read and ponder.

Você dificilmente lerá uma história em quadrinhos tão profunda quanto esta. Aqui, Alexander Marchand basicamente apresenta uma espécie de descrição metafísica de alto nível do que é a realidade e qual é o propósito da vida. E, claro, se você leu seu outro livro The Universe Is A Dream, entenderá o que ele quer dizer quando o chama de virtual - não é uma simulação de computador ou a Matrix de Lilly e Lana Wachowski - é simplesmente um sonho, uma ilusão.

Através desta história em quadrinhos, Marchand nos conduz por uma explicação passo a passo, imagem por imagem, da estrutura do universo de uma maneira fácil de entender mas ao mesmo tempo muito profunda. Ele explica como o universo se comporta como um sonho e qual é o seu propósito, como funciona a unicidade e a divisão, a dualidade e a não dualidade, o amor e o papel que isso desempenha e, principalmente, qual é o SEU papel no universo.

É uma leitura divertida e profunda e eu a recomendo demais se você estiver em busca de um entendimento mais profundo da realidade.

Very concise and entertaining metaphysical book.

Starts off by pointing the current limitations of science that fails to consider paranormal phenomena. Through the double-slit experiment, it explains the dual nature of our virtual universe.

Then it proses some alternative views of meta-reality, where oneness was split, and division started creating fear and dualities. The only way back to oneness is to use the "bit-eraser" and get rid of all fears.

I have read My Big Toe before, but I appreciate the terse style and condensed presentation of bits of inforation (both image and text) in this book.

Four stars PLACEHOLDER: Five Stars-in-waiting, verifying via second read

Okay, I love Marchand's style, and I love the directions he is taking his initial ACM work ("The Universe is a Dream"), which is to say...all of the directions. His trilogy in current release looks to be a re-imagining of Gurdjieff's Beelzebub compendium, but to be more relevant to the discussion here (too excite!), "The Universe is Virtual" integrates ACM material with the emerging understanding of Quantum Mechanics (it's been "emerging" since 1900; get with it, people). Although the cover is charming and enticing and it fits in your hand perfectly so that your real hands fit into the cartoon hands and you will want to buy/read it instantly, MAYBE THINK ABOUT IT FIRST: like M says himself, you will have to have been feeding your current dogmas some delicious steaks of open-mindedness for some time to even begin approaching this book. Which is not to say you shouldn't leap right into it, either: I trust your judgement. What I am saying is that even I will need to re-read this a few times to make sure I like it as much as I think I do (thus the four stars) - because M has to tackle quite a lot of concepts in order to bring you his over-arching paradigm shift, he has to stop right before releasing the depth charge in most, which is disappointing because I could read this comic book all day, even if it was as thick as "Blankets" or you-name-all-the-other-fat-comix. Having said that, even with an extremely, sensuously-dilated consciousness such as mine, the reading felt a little rushed (not quite forced) to be a 100% accurate arrow-to-bullseye vector pointing in the direction that he is very clear (from the title) that he wants us to go. SO! Let the re-reading begin.

Again I exclaim: definitely read "The Universe is a Dream"!

Completely brilliant. Truly an insipired book. While I truly enjoyed Tom Campbell's book My Big Toe (trilogy), all 800+ pages of it, and numerous other books that explore the spirituality/quantum physics nexus, this little book explains more in 150 pages, than a bookshelf full of heavy tomes.
Don't leave home without it.
