Ipsum Esse is the eighth book in The Unfallen, a fast-paced Christian supernatural thriller series where spiritual warfare meets edge-of-your-seat suspense. Ancient evil. Campus conspiracies. Brothers forged in fire and bound by something stronger than genetics. If you love Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness, the theological depth of Ted Dekker, or the relentless pacing of Lynette Eason and Colleen Coble, Landon Walker's story will keep you turning pages long past midnight. The X-Files meets The Chosen.
Landon Walker and his newly found brother Caleb Mercer are setting out on a quest to find their father. Sarah showed interest in joining them, but Landon chose this moment to strengthen his bond with his brother.
As Landon and Caleb uncover the truth, they are shocked to realize that their father has been conducting experiments on them since the very beginning of their existence. What a cruel and sinister person their father has turned out to be.
Landon and Caleb are left contemplating the meaning of their existence. Why do they exist? What purpose do they serve? Some believe it is rooted in love, while others think it is simply for the sake of experimentation.
Their father wishes to clarify his motives behind his actions. However, the pressing question remains: will Landon and Caleb accept this explanation? On one hand, do they genuinely desire to know? On the other hand, what prompted their journey? Perhaps it was simply a chance to deepen their connection. Can they find it within themselves to forgive this man for his past transgressions and move forward?
Ipsum Esse is a remarkable addition to The Unfallen Series by Judah Lamb. The intrigue, suspense, and uncertainty kept me engrossed as I hurried toward the conclusion to uncover all the answers I was seeking.
Ipsum Esse starts at a slow pace, carefully guarding its secrets and revealing them gradually. It was a tense experience, capturing my focus from the very beginning and holding it without respite as I waited for the truth to unfold.
I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment in the Landon Walker series to learn more about Landon and Caleb and to see where their lives take them next.
I wholeheartedly recommend Ipsum Esse to all fans of mystery and suspense! Be sure to pick up a copy of Ipsum Esse today!
"Ipsum Esse: A Christian Supernatural Thriller and Suspense Novel (The Unfallen Series Book 8)" is a notable addition to the series. As a Christian narrative, it is rich with themes of prayer, angels, demons, and unwavering faith, which sustain the characters amidst profound threats to their lives. I particularly appreciated the conclusion of this installment, which could have served as a fitting finale for the series; however, I eagerly anticipate the next book.
The author skillfully crafts an action-packed narrative that explores and illustrates profound themes. Their thought-provoking examination of the nature of God and humanity is unlike any I have encountered before. I highly recommend this book to those seeking a deeper understanding of Christianity at its core; it serves as an excellent resource for discipleship.
This novel is definitely not suited for brief reading sessions, as it captivates the reader from the outset and maintains a firm grip on their attention throughout.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to Judah Lamb for the opportunity to read Ipsum Esse as part of the ARC process. As always, my reviews and opinions remain entirely my own, and I have not received any compensation, either currently or in the future, from the author or publisher for providing this fair and honest review.
Landon and Caleb the newly found brothers are going in search of their father, following hints they have been given, and not knowing what they will find when they get there. Their father was a geneticist, who had tampered with them prior to their birth, believing he could make them stronger by binding them to the spiritual realm. What they find is an old man who serves them tea, and wants to offer an explanation of why he had used them like lab rats, and then discarded them. They had been separated at birth, and fostered with different families, bouncing from one home to another. What they end up discovering once they listen to their father is even more horrifying, thinking their mother had been murdered, all for the sake of research, which turned them into just mere subjects. Obviously this being a christian series it is full of prayers, angels and demons, and so much faith which is what kept them going even in the face of so much threat and danger to their very lives. I loved the ending to this book which could have easily been an ending to the series, but as it isn't I look forward to the next book.
Landon has only recently discovered he has a brother called Caleb. They decide its time to find their father and discover the truth behind what was done to them even before they were born. They find that his lab were he worked was burnt down and he disappeared. But a student who worked with their father gives them his address and directions to find his isolated farmhouse. Arriving at the farmhouse they find their father has been expecting them, he has been kept up to date on where each of them has been and whats been happening with them. How they ask, the reply is not what they expect. The battles between good and evil continue, with Angels and Demons appearing.

Ipsum Esse is the kind of book that refuses to let you put it down. Judah Lamb delivers another gripping installment in The Unfallen series, weaving together supernatural thriller elements with genuinely thought-provoking questions about faith, identity, and what it means to be human.
Landon and Caleb's story is incredible — the revelation that their very existence was engineered sets up a tension that never lets up. The suspense is relentless from start to finish, and the powerful message at its core makes it more than just a page-turner.

"You are gloriously useless." What a line this is, and what an action-packed story this author weaves to explain and illustrate that line. The author does a thought-provoking job of explaining the nature of God and of humankind that boggles my mind. I recommend this to people who want an explanation of what it means to be Christian at its roots.

Landon and Caleb go to talk to their father, who had used them as test subjects for an experiment. What will they learn? How will they react? Will they have to call in their team for reinforcements? Don't ask the book's AI! Read the book for yourself; it will be worth the time.
This book is not one to pick up for short reading bursts. It grabs on and does not let go of the reader.

Judah Lamb’s addition to this already wonderful series was truly fascinating. I love the evolving dynamics and growth of the storyline and how it becomes increasingly rich in detail as it progresses.
The devil is in the details. Landon and Caleb together face the similar events in their lives when they try to find out what strange experiments their father did to them as babies.
Well worth reading. This book, along with the rest of the series so far, is very well written and I definitely recommend. They need to be read in order
