An eye-opener I did not know I needed.
Is It My ADHD? quietly shifts the way you see the world and the people in it. So many behaviours I had written off as flakiness or disorganisation are reframed here with real clarity and compassion. I came away with a much deeper appreciation for the invisible weight so many women carry, often without a name for it. This book will not just help neurodivergent readers feel seen, it will make the rest of us far better at showing up for the people in our lives. I am glad I decided to read it.

I felt at times that the book leaned heavily into the author’s personal experiences of ADHD, sometimes at the expense of areas I was more interested in. That said, it is her story, and I appreciated the flexibility to dip in and out, as well as the range of anecdotes from herself, others, and professionals. It felt quite tailored to her—almost more cathartic for the author, with moments of self-help for readers who relate to her perspective. I especially liked the ending, where she reflects on submitting the book late and accepting that life gets in the way—it felt honest and reassuring.
