There’s an entire career’s worth of knowledge packed into this book. I had the chance to read an early copy and it absolutely delivers. It’s clearly written by someone who understands the real challenges of managing public services with limited budgets and high community expectations. If you work in parks and recreation, this is a must. Highly recommend picking this one up.

Jamie packs an entire careers-worth of stories and insight into a digestible and entertaining read. She unapologetically lays out the fiscal conflicts that many local communities face today while, more importantly, providing the reader with encouragement and practical strategies to address these issues in a financially sustainable and community-centric manner.
