This was a wonderful book. The author did a great job at describing the scenes. This book was written with multiple stories going at once. When the dads life start to go downhill, I instantly connected with this character cause a lot of people are going through that right now. Every time I would try to put this book down to do something another plot twist happened and I needed to read more. I loved it! I was given this book as an advance copy for my honest opinion. I would definitely recommend.
“Lethal Road” is a suspenseful crime thriller that follows Steve Smith, a married father of two, after he learns that his job of eighteen years is being eliminated. Stress and panic immediately set in and Steve tries to figure out what he’s going to do to keep his family afloat until he finds a new job. He stumbles across something that seems like easy money, or is it?
There are a few storylines going back and forth taking place at the same time. The way everything connects will have you on the edge of your seat! This is a must-read for anyone who loves a fast-paced thriller that will keep you guessing.
Lethal Road by Shane Adams is an excellent crime thriller. In this book, two men are thrown together to save each other from their poor choices. Steve Smith is a husband and father, who loses his job causing him to question his place in life. Cole Finley is an FBI agent with a bad temper, lonely and always fighting against the authorities. Circumstances lead both men down a “road” which will test their courage, morales and relationships. What does a man do to protect his family? How far will a man go to find a serial killer? These are questions answered in this novel. Lethal Road explores how one’s safe life can be completely changed. It explores the impact of violence. It shows the underbelly of the criminal world. I found the descriptive writing to be realistic, particularly as to violence and the deteriorating relationship between Steve and Marie. I enjoyed this novel both as a crime story and has a story of the ethical and moral dilemmas faced by the “average” man. Both Steve and Cole must question their ethics and moral compass. How do the qualities of a person’s life change when faced with fundamental questions of character? This novel reads like a Greek myth. I enjoyed this book.
Lethal Road is a fantastic thriller. At first is was a little overwhelming. There were multiple story lines and a lot of characters. Once the story got going it was easier to keep everyone separate. I loved being able to see from so many different views to get all the pieces of the story. I did not know this story was going to end a bit unresolved. The overall plot was finished, but the ending left room for another story in the future. The writing was fantastic. I will definitely read more from this author in the future.
It's alway fun to discover a new author, and I am really glad I discovered this one! The title plays a key role in this story, the characters traveling up and down I5 with danger along the way. I found it interesting how there were several groups of characters in the book that intertwined making a great novel and really interesting flow. I don't know if the author will write another book but I will certainly keep my eyes open for one!
Brilliant narration from Brandon J. Peterson who brings the trill and drama to your ears.

This is a great suspense thriller. FBI and drug runners. The storylines mix up and converge back for the epic ending showdown. Loved it. After the wind up I was on the edge of my seat.
