I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical and nervous to read this, considering the fact that all of Bart's previous books were directed more towards an adult audience and that this is more fantasy related. But time and time again he never fails me (: I love this book. Young Adult is my favorite genre and he nailed it. The characters, while haven their hidden "Easter eggs" in reference to the original Wizard of Oz are completely their own. I loved the little hints and names and placing it all together. The imagery in this book is so perfect, you can feel the world around you, smell it, see it. It's so real. And beautiful. You won't regret reading this book. I am beyond excited for the next book.
