Kelly
Everyone has their kryptonite, mine just so happens to be him. The womanizer, the male whore and the sexiest man you’ll ever lay your eyes on. With his dark hair, penetrating eyes, and his god like body beckoning to be touched, you can’t help but be hypnotized by the man.
He makes me want things I don’t deserve, makes me feel things I didn’t think I’d ever experience again, not after the hurt I’ve caused, the damage I’ve done. Yet, when I’m with him or he’s around, I feel free, light, like I can finally live.

He’s everything I swore to stay away from, yet, like a moth to a flame, I know I’m about to get burned.

Dante

I’m not a fan of the word no. Well, that was until the little vixen Kelly Dean said it to me. Not just once, but over and over again. I used to think of her ‘‘no’’ as foreplay, now they make me feel the total opposite.

One night was all it took for me to become addicted to her. One night for me to screw up the best thing that had ever happened to me and one night for my world to start falling apart piece by piece.

My mission to make it up to her isn’t as clear cut as I thought it would be. How was I to know two people from my past were going to make it difficult?
Thankfully one is here to make amends, but unfortunately, the other is here for revenge.
Now I’m praying like hell that at the end of this battle, she’s my gift. After all, it’s her I’m fighting for.

This is the 3rd book in The Forgotten series, while it can be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading Better Left Forgotten and Obsession before reading Forgiven.

Kelly has made a series of bad decision in her life and the only good thing that came out of them was her son Ethan. Her past keeps catching up with her and has hurt the ones she’s close to. The problem is she has a weakness for Dante. He’s everything she shouldn’t want but can’t resist.
Dante has never wanted a woman more than Kelly so when she said no, it was like foreplay to him until he could have her. One thing Dante knows he’s good at is screwing things up and that’s what did. Now he has to try everything he can think of to make it up to Kelly but his pride seems to get in the way.
Can these two get past everything and be together or will their past keep coming between them?

Kelly hasn’t had an easy life and her drug deal late husband put her into a situation that endangered her son and her friends. Friends is something she hasn’t had a lot of. Kelly is used to being on her own, so the strong independent woman is having a hard time forgiving herself for putting her friends in harm’s way. Cage and Caitlyn have forgiven her and understand that Robin was the one to blame not Kelly. Kelly really does put everyone before herself so when a series of events happen with Dante, it leaves her questioning what she ever saw in him.

Dante has a past very few know about. There is a reason why he doesn’t do serious relationships. Betrayal and a bruised ego has him making mistake with Kelly. He knows she’s all he wants but he can’t quite get over his past and forgive himself for what wasn’t his fault. When his mother throws some unexpected news on his plate explaining why his dad acted the way he did towards him, he keeps it to himself but ends up treating the ones he’s closest to badly. He does his best to make it up to them but just when things start to get better, his past comes back to bit him in the butt and he fears he will lose Kelly forever.

Dante’s and Kelly’s story wasn’t quite like I expected but definitely better and more exciting then I imagine. The twist and turns Lisa throws at her readers when they were lest expecting it kept me on my toes and her book in my hands. I couldn’t put it down as I had to know what Nate, Cage and Dante were going to do and how everyone would get out. I was surprise to learn about Dante’s past and how it affect his life as he always seem to be the carefree fun loving guy. He definitely kept me waningt more not only by the way he interacts with both Carrie and Ethan but with Kelly too. I found myself rooting for him and Kelly to get together even though he let his pride get in the way. Kelly is one hell of a strong woman after what she went through and goes through in this book. She definitely knows how to pick the wrong guy all the time except once, when she fell for Dante.

I was given this in exchange for an honest review. This is the third and final book in Lisa Helen Gray’s The Forgotten series, it’s amazing and she ended the series perfectly! I’m looking forward to Lisa’s next series. If you haven’t read The Forgotten series, then you don’t know what you’re missing!

It's always sad to see a series come to an end. I thought that Forgiven was a really good end to the Forgotten Series. With this book it showed how much the author has grown from the first book in the series. Lisa creates males that are so swoon worthy and you can't help but cheer them on throughout the book.

Forgiven tells the story of Dante and Kelly.

Kelly's a single mom who is still living in guilt from the events surrounding Catilyn and Cage( you have to read the first book to know what I am talking about). Kelly goes through a lost and is having a hard time with finding her place within the group of friends.

I liked Kelly. She was strong headed, feisty and a great mother.

Dante Angelo is an outgoing, funny as hell alpha male. In the other books we got a glimpse of Dante and I was happy to get to know him a little more in Forgiven. Dante seemed to be a man whore however he has one woman on his mind despite going through a herd of women.

When I say that Dante had me laughing out with some of his antics, I am not lying.

“ A spider? A fucking spider? The thing is fucking massive and could be passed off as a dinosaur for fuck sake. Oh my God, that thing could have been crawling all over my face when I was asleep or tried to get inside me. Did you know that? That they can get up in your nose, you mouth, even your fucking bum hole”

I think Dante hid behind his funny personality and the more I read, I got to see a caring, loving and devoted individual.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story. The story flowed well with interesting plot twists. OMG, I was very surprise with a lot of the curves Lisa added. I am really sad this series has ended but Lisa gave me an ending to die for.

A must read.

Favourite Quotes:

“All I could see before I fucked you was you, and then with the girls after all I could see was you. You're always in my fucking mind. I can't even jack off without imagining you in my mind. I've never wanted to take the next step with another woman before, but with you, I’d try. I'd do anything”

Forgiven is the third book in the Forgotten Series, and readers finally get Dante and Kelly’s story. After finally giving into her desire for Dante, Kelly has to deal with his harsh rejection, and I am not exaggerating when I say HARSH!!!! His hurtful behavior toward her is nothing new for her. Life has constantly knocked Kelly down, but she always gets back up, and this is no exception. She has to keep living for her son, Ethan. She hides her hurt from Dante every time she sees him which is a good bit since they share the same friends. However, she has no idea the true reason Dante has hurt her. He’s running as hard as he can from the feelings he has for her. Eventually, he decides to stop running and try to win Kelly back and prove he is worthy of her and Ethan. Things are going well when all the friends go on a mini holiday together. However, secrets from their pasts not only threaten their future happiness but their very lives.

I enjoyed the mystery, intrigue, and romance of the book. I really connected with Dante and Kelly. I could empathize with both of them. They both haven’t had the best past, and they will face many tests to overcome their trust issues. I loved the banter between them; it just heightened the sexual chemistry between them. The sex was HOT! How could it not be with Dante? I have to say my favorite aspect of the story is Kelly’s struggle within herself. Her friends have forgiven her for her part in some of the painful pasts, but she can’t seem to forgive herself. I loved seeing her grow and able to work toward that forgiveness. The book isn’t just about the love between a couple but the love and loyalty between friends who make their own family with each other.

Forgiven was a quick, easy read, and I thought it was a good addition to the series. If you like a bad-mouthed, sexy alpha male and a stubborn, strong, and feisty heroine with some suspense mixed in, then this is the perfect book for you.

I received this for a honest review. I loved it. I wouldn't put it down. This is a mystery romance and funny as beck. Even in a tough spot u will be laughing. I'm still laughing as I think of parts of this story. I'm not good at telling stories but because I was laughing so hard my husband looks at Neil's I done lost my mind. So I actually tell him y I'm laughing so hard, them him and my kids start laughing and my daughter says she has to read this too. Yes it is that good. Everyone and anytime should read this. I recommend it to all.

Kelly is a mother and a widow of a horrible man. She and her son have been through hell but she doesn't let it stop her but when she thinks is a lil better things change for the worst again. Will Kelly make it this time? I don't want to give this awesome story away so read and u shell find out what happens.

Dante is a man never to be affected by another woman as long as he lives. He is a jokester and will tell jokes to hide how he feels. He is so set on not trusting women that he will breaker to the one he feels anything for. In the long run he know its not right and tries to fix it. Can he fixings mess up in time? Yes u will also have to read to find this out.

Amazing. Thank u so mush for this honour. I'm so glad I had the privilege of being A ARC reader for this book. I so enjoyed getting to know the characters and the outline of the story. Fantabulous. If I could I would give it 10 freaking stars.

Where do I start I absolutely love love love this series!!

I was eagerly awaiting Dante and Kelly's story after what happen to Kelly in Better Left Forgotten I was intrigued to find out her back story. Lisa Helen Grey did not disappoint.

The book had me gripped from start to finish and I couldnt put it down, taking me to the early hours of the morning and running over in my lunch times!

Dante was so funny, the way Lisa writes makes me feel like I am part of the book and I am experiancing all of the emotions along with the characters. She has definatly wrote some of my top book b/f's.

This series is one that sticks with you for a while after you read it and will be one I 100% revisit time and time again. My friend doesnt start a series until it has been completed and I cant wait to recommend the Forgotten series to her.

*SPOILER ALERT*
Love the references to some of my favourite TV programmes as in the previous books (especially Dante giving up watching Arrow) this made me laugh out loud.

I thought the end of the book was a perfect way to finish 'Certain things are better left forgotten, otherwise it will just become obsession and your actions will no longer be forgiven'.

Another 5* read!!! Well Done Lisa :D

Single mother Kelly has resisted Dante's advances since they met. Although she is attracted to Dante, she knows he is a player who doesn't do commitment, though they have become friends maybe if they came together it would be different, it wasn't. In fact Dante when out of his way to be callus and unforgivable.

Dante tried keeping Kelly at a distance for his own good, but he can no longer deny he wants to build something with Kelly. Dante comes up with a plan that he knows Kelly can't refuse, but his plan to get her to forgive him is not as smooth as he thought. His charm only gets him so far and when someone from his past has plans for revenge, Kelly is in the key,

Dante was a total jerk to Kelly, beyond what one could express. However, once Dante decides to redeem himself he does in a very warped but sweet way. Of course to Kelly she cant make heads or tails of what he is trying to do. I wish that you got a little bit more of Dante's background, there were still some questions when it came to the end. Not sure if there are plans for more in this series or not but hope so. Overall great read, has a few holes but liked this couple together.

MY THOUGHTS~

I was provided with a Review Copy/ARC for review.

Author Lisa Helen Gray killed it with this book! It was her best yet as far as I'm concerned! I could "hang out" with Dante every day, for real! LOVE him! Love this book!

In Forgiven, we got to see more of the couples and people from the previous books in this series and a whole lot more Dante! Can't go wrong there! The author did a great job of incorporating the other characters' stories in with Dante & Kelley's. Sometimes that makes a story line sort of messy and confusing, but not this one. The author did an amazing job of putting everything together seamlessly.

Like I already said, the character were awesome! They were all well developed and some even had layers to them that we didn't fully grasp before this book. I feel like I've known these people all my life! That's good writing, folks!

I'm completely happy with how this whole story and series was wrapped up. Kudos to author Lisa Helen Gray!

I have had the pleasure to read and review all three books in this series and I have not been disappointed. I have to say that Kelly and Dante's story is my favorite of the three stories. Dante is the group's comedian/teddy bear. He lets everything roll off him, or does he?

Kelly came to the group under the guise of deception. Luckily, she has proven herself trust worthy, just needing to do what any mother would have.

These two have butted heads since day one. The chemistry they have between them is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and wone they work out their issues and get together for a night... O.M.G. Get it. Read it. NOW!

Dante and Kelly

Dante is one of a kinda. Adore his sense of humour, especially the spider n giraffe moments... 🤣🤣🤣

“I love you baby. I don’t know how to explain it because there are no words on this earth that could ever describe the way I feel towards you. I’m not even certain if it is a feeling because it’s more than that, it’s more than just two hearts coming together and more than two souls like ours belonging together. No one could ever make me feel the way you do and I promise you with all my heart no one could ever love you the way I do. So will you please be my wife… no wait… You will be my wife because if you love me like you say you do then binding ourselves together in matrimony will just be a bonus in our relationship,’’

A great read. A must read. Completely enjoyed it.

I am usually a fan of this author but the characters in this book were awful. Everything about Dante was a joke. Sadly not a one of them was funny. I found him pathetic. As for Kelly she literally was trying to tell Dante about being pregnant and he is with 2 women and he invites her to join them. She loses the baby but that's okay she still wants him. She is just keeping that info to herself for the moment.
I found both of these characters so unlikeable. I kept hoping as the book went along that something would happen to change my mind and it just didn't happen. Every reaction out of Dante was about how great he was how all the women fall for him and every response was reduced to a sexual nature. It got old and boring.

I was in tears a lot!

I loved this series but Dante and Kelly were my favourite. This book made me laugh tears so many times, my family looked at me as though I had lost the plot!! Let me just say, the birth scene was so funny, I think I peed a little. Thankyou Lisa, I really needed this book and loved it and the two before.
