What do you think?

Carnage Rules
This girl—my fury—has been claimed as our newest vessel. They call her Twenty-three.
As the Collective’s heirs, it’s our duty to make her submit.
I should have known it wouldn’t be easy.
She’s trouble cloaked in seductive mystery.
Chaos of the best sort.
I feel my control slipping.
This woman is a disturbance to our way of life.
Something tells me she’ll dismantle this place.
And we’ll help her.

“I follow. I honor. I nourish. I kneel.”
Carnage Falls in the second installment in the Dark Falls Hollow series and this is one of my highly anticipated reads for 2026. I devoured the first book and then as soon as I saw that the PB was available earlier than the release date, I couldn't pass up the chance to grab myself a copy. The book covers to these books are seriously eye catching, I mean have you seen them? 😍
Much like the first book I am going to suggest that you check your trigger warning because this book has a lot of them. I have none so I was able to dive straight into this book.
The first book introduces you to The Collective but the second book really immerses you into their world and way of thinking. Their beliefs and how they run their community. The story still focuses on Delilah who is still being held captive by The Collective and their punishments.
Arrow, Malakai, Hayze and Cross who are the sons of the leaders are captivated by her in their own different ways. They still feel drawn to her and are slowly discovering why in their own time.
Delilah is not a character who is willing to back down, she still has the fight in her and refuses to conform to The Collective ways and beliefs of their women. At times this book made me put it down to just stare off into somewhere because of how dark this story goes and this author has a way of keeping me hooked on these characters and the story.
Overall, this book pulls no punches when it comes to subject matters that are portrayed in this book. But yet done in a way that can either make you look away or turn the next page. Is it dark. Yes. Should you read your triggers before starting these books. Definitely YES. But overall, I want to know more about what is going to happen and how this series/trilogy is going to come to an end. So I am excited to read the next book.

This book is …insane! I love all the plot twists and the way Delilah doesn’t give up despite the events happening to her. I love the way Leila has written all these characters and how dark this series is. Every time I think IKNOW what’s going to happen, something comes up and I’m like wtf? I love Malakai and Cross. Well, I love all the MMCs but I keep coming back to Kai.

The Collective welcomes you back to Dark Falls Hollow are you ready to rejoin the madness and experience what unhinged depraved things they have instore for Delilah and the guys?
In this next instalment the dark gets darker and your emotions will riot; you never know who to trust and which way is up or down. There is no joke behind reading those TW but if you like what you see than come along and let’s get swallowed whole by this unhinged binge worthy read. Five out of Five motherF’n stars and the spicy was spiccccyyyy! Leila knocked this one straight out of the park.

Carnage Rules picks up right where Hysteria Rises leaves off during the Hunting (thank god because that cliffhanger was BRUTAL).
There is so much tension and angst between the characters as they navigate this world they are forced to live in and It was really interesting to see her develop relationships/form of trust with each of the guys. I’m really excited to see how they continue to play out as the Collective continues their “meddling”.
There was a bit more romance with the characters in this one which I really enjoyed!
These books continue to get darker and darker and while I should probably not enjoy it as much as I am, I cannot stop reading them 😅 Please check your triggers before going into either of these stories because it is DARK.
This book seriously kept me on my toes and I finished it in less than a day because I couldn’t put it down. I need the next one like tomorrow, please and thanks.
Thank you so much to Leila for the opportunity to receive and review this eARC. All thoughts & opinions are my own 🖤

I don’t even know how to properly review this book without sounding completely unhinged, but here we are.
Carnage Rules did not just cross lines… it erased them, set them on fire, and then dragged me willingly into the chaos.
I was HOOKED. Fully. Irrevocably.
If the first book cracked the door open to The Collective, this one kicks it wide open and shoves you straight into the madness. The atmosphere is thick, oppressive, almost suffocating at times… and I mean that as the highest compliment. You don’t just read this world, you feel trapped inside it.
And Delilah?? Absolute force of nature.
They call her Twenty-three. They try to break her. Mold her. Force her into submission.
Yeah… good luck with that.
She is fire wrapped in defiance. Even when she’s pushed, punished, tested in ways that made me physically pause and just stare into space for a minute… she does not lose herself. That strength?? That refusal to bend?? I was in awe of her the entire time.
And then we have Arrow, Malakai, Hayze, and Cross…
I cannot even BEGIN to unpack these men properly because they are so layered it’s unreal. Each of them is pulled toward Delilah in a different way, and watching that unravel?? Addictive. There’s tension, obsession, confusion, control… and underneath it all, something shifting that none of them fully understand yet.
The push and pull between them and Delilah is intense. Not soft. Not easy. It’s messy, dark, complicated, and at times genuinely uncomfortable… but that’s what makes it hit so hard. This book does not pretend to be anything other than what it is.
And listen… this story goes DARK. Like “put the book down and process what you just read” dark. There were moments I had to pause, take a breath, and then immediately pick it back up because I needed to know what happened next.
That’s the thing about this author’s writing… it pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Even when it’s heavy. Even when it’s brutal. You’re glued to it.
The exploration of The Collective in this one?? Next level. Their beliefs, their control, the way their entire system operates… it’s deeply unsettling but also fascinating. You start to see the cracks forming, the tension building, and you just KNOW something explosive is coming.
And the connection between all of them and Delilah?? It’s evolving. Twisting. Becoming something bigger than anyone expected… and I am absolutely feral to see where it goes next.
This book is:
• dark, intense, and completely consuming
• emotionally heavy with zero apologies
• driven by a heroine who refuses to break
• and packed with tension that keeps tightening with every chapter
It’s not an easy read. It’s not supposed to be.
But if you love stories that push boundaries, challenge you, and keep you thinking long after you’ve closed the book?? This one will own you.

Excuse me while I struggle to unstrap myself from this rollercoaster ride. You know the ones… do I want to get off or go for another edge-of-your-seat, knuckle gripping ride. Leila James fast-paced suspenseful writing style and dark themes leaves you wanting more yet wondering why you do. Like the crazy roller coaster ride. Book 2 opens up right where we left off at the end of book 1, biting your nails…with a new character that puts the entire compound on alert. And a new level of hell permeates the collective.
This book is fast paced just like the first one, getting new insights about Delilah and our 4 main men who begin questioning what’s really going on. Hayze struggles to keeps up appearances as the future leader of The Collective, while starting to doubt the it’s mission. Cross and Malakai are getting closer to Delilah each in their own way. And Arrow has fallen hard for her already, breaking Collective rules. And poor Delilah faces even more challenges, physical safety and an uncertain future. The steam level starts to ramp up, giving us a glimpse at the future of this quintet as desires can’t be kept hidden for much longer.
James weaves her magic, dropping hints and juicy nuggets along the way to keep us riveted and wondering what’s next. She adds some intriguing side characters, and some you just downright despise, infusing more tension into the plot with backstabbing, lies and deceit, which makes the reader question people motives. Yet Delilah begins to shift from rebelling to keeping a low profile and starting to quietly plot her next move.
Where as Hysteria Rises, book 1, was darker laying the ground work on how diabolical this cult is, Carnage Rules begins to give us a glimpse that these 5 individuals may find some hope. But at what cost? There’s a complex tangled web of darkness that overshadows the compound and all of these players. And in true Leila James fashion, we can’t even begin to know what’s next as she weaves a tale with so many possibilities that it’s anyone’s guess.

Carnage Rules picks up right where Hysteria Rises leaves off and takes us on one epic, mind-bender of a rollercoaster ride, but the ride is oh. So. Delicious! You don't know up from down, who is trustworthy and who isn't, and most of all, by the end, you will be yelling and cursing at your reading device with all that's happened, coz A LOT goes down, and the fact this piece of literary gold has ended.... and does so on one doozy of a cliffhanger. The emotions are yanked outta you, you feel ALL the feels, it's that. Feaking. Incredible!!!
You feel so angry and heartbroken for Delilah and all she endures. You thought she had it bad book one? That's nothing in comparison to book 2, and I imagine we're just seeing the start of it. And your heart truly aches for Arrow, Hayze, Cross and Malakai as well because they are trapped by their circumstances and what's expected of them as not only first born sons but as members of Dark Falls Hollow, though they now see that it's so very wrong what they were led to believe as being a normal way of life, that how they were raised was anything but, and they feel like absolute failures regarding Delilah and not being able to protect her the way they'd like. They're finally seeing The Collective as the toxic, hypocritical psychos they are. The little reprieve Delilah and her guys have is the moments their able to steal with one another, and they are beyond special and so very yummy! Hello, the barn and the closet. Nuff said!
There's more revelations given as well as more left to question, but I'm so very here for every single bit of it. I swear, this series just gets better and better with each new book. It's so unique, phenomenally written and I'm not ashamed to admit I've become an addict needing my next fix. I bow to Leila James and the awesomeness that is this beauty of a read and her utter brilliance as an author!!!

Leila James delivers a gripping and unapologetically dark romance in Carnage Rules, a story that kept me hooked from beginning to end. This book leans fully into the intensity of the genre, blending danger, tension, and emotional complexity in a way that makes it impossible to put down.
At the center is a fierce and unbreakable heroine who refuses to be defined by her circumstances—even while being held hostage. She’s not passive or helpless; she’s a fighter in every sense of the word, constantly pushing back, strategizing, and holding onto her strength no matter how dire things get. Watching her navigate such a brutal situation is both empowering and emotionally charged.
The dynamic with the four main male characters adds another compelling layer. Initially shaped by their loyalty to their families, they begin to question everything as they slowly realize just how unhinged and dangerous their fathers truly are. That shift in awareness creates tension, growth, and a sense that something much bigger is unraveling beneath the surface. I can't even decide who I like best yet!
What stood out most to me is how unpredictable the story is. Just when I thought I had a sense of where things were going, the plot twisted in a completely unexpected direction. There’s a constant sense of anticipation—like something explosive is always just around the corner. The suspense, combined with the emotional stakes, makes every chapter feel urgent and exciting.
Overall, Carnage Rules is a dark, thrilling ride that doesn’t hold back. It’s intense, surprising, and full of sharp turns that keep you guessing. I’m genuinely excited (and a little nervous) to see what comes next in the story.

Firstly I will say CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS! I’m not joking, this is dark and features ALOT of non con.
This is book 2 in the Dark Falls Hollows series and things are still crazy, after that cliff hanger in book 1 I didn’t know where this was going… and I’m still needing answers after this book! 🤣
Delilah is still being held against her will with no end sight, but she’s coming to understand she needs to “play along” with what these men expect of her if she stands any chance of escaping her current hell. And that means making some allies along the way.
Hayze, Cross, Arrow and Malakai (the sons of the cult leaders) are each drawn to her in their own way and the more time they spend with her they are slowly realising that their way of life is wrong and changes need to happen. They are doing what they can to protect Delilah without it being obvious to their fathers. I’m dying for them to take out their evil rotten fathers, those men need a taste of their own medicine I tell ya! Not one of the leaders have any redeeming qualities.
You really feel for Delilah throughout this book, she does her best to stay strong and fight back against the men running the community but it’s tough.
I loved seeing the relationship between the guys progressing too.
There’s still so much more to uncover, I can’t wait for book 3 especially after that cliff hanger!
There’s a bit more of a romance vibe with Delilah and the guys but not much to be fair, our girl still doesn’t know who she can trust.
Like book 1 this is a tough read at times but it’s so good!!
I’m hoping we’ll get more romance in book 3.

Carnage Rules ( Dark Falls Hollow Book 2 ) 🖤Dark Romance 🔥Enemies to Lovers 🖤Why Choose 🔥Forced Proximity 🖤BiAwakening🔥Morally Gray MMC’S 🖤Birth Control Tampering 🔥Breeding 🖤Touch Her and Die Vibes and so much more Dark , Delicious and Uttely Addictive. Well Leila had done it again . What you ask ? Well that’s simple - Wrecked me , just completely and utterly wrecked me in all the best ways. I only have one question, how do you not fall in love with this absolutely amazing , Dark , Steamy and addictive series/ world that Leila has so brilliantly created? . We’re only on book 2 and I’m just utterly obsessed and equally in love with each character / and their journey together. Delilah is such a kick@ss heroine - strong and resilient- even with everything she’s been through I loved her ability to be able to stand her ground. And Her Guys - Hayze , Cross , Malakai and Arrow - oh my gosh , I just might be a bit obsessed and in love with all 4 - because really, how can you even choose between them ? All their layers and complexities, it’s simply impossible. I loved the progression of each of their relationships with Delilah - the way they were there for her in different ways . All I can say is that I was not prepared, not at all for emotional journey i was just taken on , for all the feelings i felt and the degree to which their story just touched my heart . I went through everything from being speechless, to yelling outta pure frustration, to smiling, laughing, crying my eyes out and rooting so freaking hard. Now to patiently or not so patiently wait for book 3 - because oh man was I left with so many questions and just craving so much more ASAP

Check the trigger warnings before reading. Let me say it again - Check. The. Warnings. If you're not bothered by anything then by all means continue on to the depravity. :)
Y'all...if you've read book 1, which you NEED to do before reading this one, then you kinda know what you're in for with this one. Nothing should be a surprise with the Collective and the first borns.
Cross, Mal, Hayze, and Arrow......wow. Let me say there's a lot to unpack here in book two. It's hard for me to say that I like all of these characters, because some moments are just wrong, but I do. I really like all of them and their "relationships" with Delilah. Now, Delilah...holy cow is she strong. I mean, I don't know how she manages to hang on throughout this book. She's tough as nails and one badass woman. She keeps her wits about her and has strength like no other. A true warrior that I root for during every second of this book.
Leila really puts your emotions through the ringer with this one. I won't talk too much about plot and storyline because you need to read it for yourself to get the gist of everything that happens. This one ends on a cliffy though so get ready.
I'm already itching for book 3...I need to know what happens next and how this is going to play out. Y'all....it's going to be SO GOOD!!!
"The bottom line is this -- I'll do whatever I have to do to set this entire place on fire, then I'll relish the view as it fucking burns to the ground."

🖤 Dark Falls Hollow – Review 🖤
If you’re craving something twisted, seductive, and unapologetically dark, Dark Falls Hollow is going to pull you in and refuse to let go.
From the very first line, you’re dropped into a chilling, controlled world where identity is stripped away and power is everything. “Twenty-three” isn’t just a name—it’s a warning. And the men of the Collective? They’re not your typical morally gray love interests… they’re dangerous, dominant, and completely consuming.
What makes this story hit differently is the tension between control and chaos. She’s not the weak, broken girl they expect—she’s fire wrapped in mystery, pushing back in ways that make every interaction feel explosive. Watching their authority begin to crack under her influence? That’s where the magic is.
✨ What you’ll love:
• Dark, immersive world-building
• A strong, defiant heroine who refuses to fully submit
• Intense “why choose” dynamics with layered, dangerous men
• A constant push-pull of power, obsession, and unraveling control
This isn’t a light romance—it’s gritty, psychological, and addictive. The kind of book where you feel slightly unhinged for loving it… but you won’t be able to stop.
⚠️ Definitely check trigger warnings—this series doesn’t hold back.
Overall: If you love dark romance with a rebellious heroine and men who slowly lose control over her instead of the other way around… welcome to your next obsession.

I don't know how Leila James does it, but this series just keeps getting better and better!
The more you read this story more you need to know. Each chapter reveals more secrets, while keeping you guessing what could possibly be next! I was hooked from chapter 1.
As Deliah navigates life with the Collective, especially with the return of one very important person, the first born sons learn that things are NOT exactly what they were taught to believe. The longer Deliah is there, the more things begin to unravel for The Collective. Cross, Hayze, Arrow, and Malakai being to learn that things are not quite right on the compound, and begin to break out of the molds their fathers created.
Leila James has this magical way of giving *just* the right amount of information while keeping you NEEDING so much more. For each question you get an answer to, one more questions pop up to replace it. It keeps you absolutely captivated, and BEGGING for the next book to get here! Did I mention this is a FOUR book series! Yes that's right, we get TWO more books in Dark Falls Hollow and I for one AM HERE FOR IT! I can't wait so see what Deliah and The First Born Sons get up to in Mayhem Riots! Whatever it is, Leila is writing it, so it will be AMAZING!

Such an amazing, unique story with fabulously complex characters. First things first, please read the content warnings for this series. It does not get any lighter in this book than the first. This one was another rough read, with a lot of parts that I had to skim through for my own mental health. However, doing that allowed me to connect with Delilah. Watching her struggles while also using her wits to try to keep herself safe makes her one of the strongest FMC’s I have read in a long time. I cannot wait to see her on the other side of this. The biggest shift in this book is the shift within the four MMC’s and their internal struggles. Each one is starting to realize where they actually stand on that line of good vs evil. I cannot wait to see what growth awaits for them in the next book. The spice in the book is hot, but not in the conventional sense that you might think. It’s more of a healing for Delilah and a way to show further growth within the MMC’s. It’s them learning to trust each other and be willing to open themselves up emotionally to another person. I am excited to see what is next for these characters.

Leila James did it again. She will forever be the queen of cliffhangers. Just when I think I am starting to get the answer to one of my many questions, she gives me the cliffhangers of cliffhangers. I cannot wait for the next book—I just need to know what is going to happen next.
The books this author puts out are so addicting and I always find myself wanting even more. She does an incredible job telling the story and getting you to fall in love with the characters. I absolutely love Delilah, she is such a strong and determined character. I love how she knows when she needs to stand her ground and also when she needs to do what she is told. I love seeing the relationship that is forming between her and the guys, especially Malakai and her. I have loved the dynamic between Arrow and her since the beginning, but there is something about the side of Malakai we see with her that makes me crave scenes between them.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys why choose, dark romance, and has a weird obsession with cults like me.

Carnage Rules picks up right where Hysteria Rises left us & Leila was all gas, no breaks out of the gate!! She took us on a dark, emotional rollercoaster that'll have you screaming for more!
Delilah, our fmc, who finds herself at the hands of the Collective, is a girl filled with determination to get herself out of Dark Falls Hollow. What better way than 3 MMC's that are slowly figuring out things aren't as they should be & a 4th that is more than meets the eye?!
The way Leila has written these characters jumps off the pages! All 4 MMC's completely unique, yet endearing in their own way. To watch them fall for her through their eyes is heartbreakingly beautiful. To witness her give them grace not knowing if they're being their authentic selves or if it's all part of a deeper strategy is everything.
5 freaking ☆'s for this book perfect for any Why Choose, Dark Romance Lover - as long as you mind the triggers!! Full of spice, yearning & suspense, Carnage Rules will have you begging for more!!

Carnage Rules is the second book in the Dark Falls Hallow series and must be read after Hysteria Rises because this book jumps straight back into where the first book finished. Delilah is still trapped in the dark, twisted and depraved cult like world and learns that things are only going to get worse now that the leader has returned. In this book we learn more about the dynamics between Hayze, Cross, Malakai and Arrow (the cult leaders sons) and how they are starting to see a different side to the life they have been conditioned to believe in. I felt this book is setting up a whole lot of chaos to happen in the next instalment, especially where the story ends and I'm excited to see what happens next. Definitely check out the warnings for this series and take them seriously because this dark why choose isn't for the faint of heart. Looking forward to reading the next book Mayhem Riots when it's released!!!

I didn’t think I could love this misfit band of boys more, but here we are… absolutely, irrevocably obsessed with four fictional men and a badass FMC.
Carnage Rules drops us right back in when Twenty Three is grabbed by a man in a wolf mask… and ✨SPOILER✨ it’s not who we were hoping it would be, but what happens next is under pandemonium and it’s epic.
No more spoilers for this review, just know this book is PLOT heavy and has amazing spicy scenes that really connect the characters. Nothing happens on these pages without a purpose. NOTHING… look for Easter eggs… ask questions… enjoy the ride. I just can’t wait for when Delilah gets her revenge. It’s going to be delicious.
Dark themes - do not read without checking the triggers!
Why Choose with Bi-Awakening
Remote Mountain Setting
Patriarchy Fueled
A+ Plot
A little mix of Horror, Thriller, Mystery tied up in Romance
Tension
Roman Empire Read

If Hysteria Rises was dark, Carnage Rules goes even further.
Leila James really leans into the Dark Falls Hollow name with this one. It is depraved, twisted, and at times feels more like horror than romance. It is heavy and uncomfortable in a way that actually makes you feel something, not just read it and move on.
You feel everything. The anger, the resentment, the kind of rage that just sits in your chest.
Delilah is still trapped within the Collective, doing whatever she has to in order to survive. Watching her navigate that is brutal, but you can already feel something starting to shift in her. We are nowhere near the end of her story, but that change is there and it's growing.
And the MMCs… I need more of each of them. I need to see how all of this comes together and how they are going to take this cult down, because at this point it feels personal.
I read this as an ARC and could not put it down. I just need the next books already.

Carnage Rules is the second installment in the Dark Falls Hollow series. As always, please check the trigger warnings before reading. This book centers around a cult and will definitely push your limits—but it’s absolutely worth it. Even more suspenseful than before, it will keep you hooked from start to finish.
This book picks up right after the hunting started. Delilah comes across someone she thought she would never see again. Just when she thought she was finally going to have a chance to get free, this person comes back and pushes her plans back to 0. Now she has to figure out a new plan to get the hell out of there.
I loved watching Delilah be pushed to the edge. No matter how hard they tried to break her, she refused to lose her strength—it made her story incredibly compelling.
I could not put this book down! Brace yourself—this book grips you tight and never lets go, keeping you on edge with every page.

First and foremost, as always, check your trigger warnings! Trust me when I say they are needed.
Luckily, since Leila likes to leave us on some brutal cliffhangers, we pick up right where we left off and it’s full tilt until the we get to another cliffhanger ending. And in the middle of all of that we get to know Delilah and the guys a little better. Delilah shows just how strong and smart she is, and that she’s a fighter. Not to mention Hayze, Cross, and Arrow start to question everything they’ve ever known about their lives. I’ve had questions and theories from the very beginning of this series and I *think* that one of those is about to be answered in the next book, especially with the way this one ended.
I was completely sucked into this book from page one and I couldn’t put it down until I finished. I honestly love how Leila’s brain works and the things that come out of it. This series is her darkest to date and I can’t wait to see what she’s going to give us in Mayhem Riots.

Sooo Unhinged and Addictive!!
You really get a better look into who each person is underneath that hard façade, and I’m just finding them more and more fascinating! I love Hayze, Cross, Arrow, Malakai, and Delilah.
There are so many WTH moments, where your jaw just drops and you have trouble closing your mouth! Yeah, it’s twisted, juicy, and mysterious, but I feel like youyou’re really start to get to the nitty-gritty of what is going on! The queen of cliffhangers leaves us on a huge cliffy!!! Gahh, I NEED book 3 so I could have all my questions answered because this just has my mind whirling with so much crazy, good information and so much like I said WTH is happening information!!! I was absolutely enthralled through the entire book!!!! This checks all the boxes Annnd is definitely a five star read!!

The second installment of Dark Falls Hollow starts the moment we left off in Hysteria Rises and had me gasping in shock! The story gets progressively darker from here so please check your TWs. We see more of the inner workings of the cult and that some rules don’t apply to everyone. Tensions rise as the cracks in the interpersonal dynamics of the Collective are revealed. Each of our MMCs wrestle with what’s expected of them versus what they feel for our FMC. Delilah is really put through it but she tries to remain true to herself and her mission of survival. This book is very dark, very spicy, and very emotional. You’ll be angry, sad, excited, and scared. I can’t wait for the next book to see if Delilah can start getting some revenge and to see more development of her relationships with the guys. I’m also begging for more Cross and Malakai scenes!

Yeah… this series just keeps getting darker. Carnage Rules picks up right where Hysteria Rises left off, and there is zero breathing room. The tension, the chaos, the constant unease—I was completely locked in.
Delilah continues to be that girl. She’s not breaking, not backing down, and watching her push back in a world designed to control her? So satisfying, even when it’s hard to read. And this world?? It’s twisted. Like deeply unsettling, uncomfortable, “why am I enjoying this?” kind of dark—but that’s what makes it so addicting. The dynamics are getting messier, the cracks are forming, and you can feel everything building toward something explosive.
Also… that ending?? Absolutely not. I need the next book immediately.
5⭐ but seriously—check your triggers.

This series just keeps getting better! I LOVE a good dark romance, why choose, and this one is hitting all the marks.
We get to see Delilah and her guys get closer it this book. You see her start to actually trust them and them start to prove themselves to her. We start seeing more inside the minds of the Collective and I am here for it and I want even more.
Do you want to know the best part about this book? It brought up even more questions about what happens in Dark Falls Hollow. So many more questions! So much more intrigue! So much anticipation for the next book in the series!
Leila James did an amazing job with this second book in this series. It was a smooth read and I was truly captivated by the story. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I’m sitting here completely breathless. Leila James has a gift for making you feel every single heartbeat, every ounce of tension, and every internal struggle the characters face. It’s not just a story; it’s an emotional experience.
Carnage Rules is easily one of my favorite releases from Leila yet. The way she builds the personalities is so vivid that you feel like you’re right there in the room with them, feeling the weight of their choices.
The cliffhangers are absolutely brutal! There are so many unanswered questions that I’m already desperate for the next installment. If you want a book that will make you feel everything alongside the characters, this is the one. Just be prepared for the emotional wreckage Leila leaves behind.

Book Review: Carnage Rules
By: Leila James
This book didn’t just coax me in I dance in willingly.
If the first book introduced us to The Collective, this one fully traps you inside it. You will be completely enthralled in this world but you have to start at book one!
Delilah is such a badass, she’s strong, and defiant! And then the guys…. Oh the guys! Arrow, Malakai, Hayze, and Cross… I just can’t pick one. The chemistry and tension between them was palpable! And you will be hooked like me.
It’s definitely a bit darker than book one so definitely check the triggers.
I cannot wait for book three!
Side note if you haven’t read her other series you need to they are all amazing twists and turns you never see coming!!

Ok, the first book was intriguing. So I jumped right into this hoping for some movement on the set up of the first book and did not get it. I'm baffled by other reviews commenting on all the plot twists. What plot twists? This was flat and boring. I kept thinking surely something different will happen now. Nope. I finally started skimming to finish it. An entire book of the guys knowing and saying over and over they need to do something, but they need to wait. I didn't learn much, nothing really progressed other than what was already established, and I no longer care about these people. Maybe when book 3 comes out I can skip to see how Arrow,Cross and Hayze react to the outside world if they ever get there, that's the only thing I am interested in seeing at this point.

In this second installment I am simply mortified and drawn in at the same time by the depravity and chaos that ensues! I love these leading men; they are diverse and endearing yet scarred so terribly you can't help but understand why they have followed along so much before meeting her. My heart was in my throat for the entire book. I'm terrified of what comes with the last installment, but I'm keeping my faith and hope in Leila that she will bring me joy in the end! Please don't let me down! This book continues the strained environment that is Dark Falls Hollow and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This is the second book in the Dark Falls Hollows series and book 1 (Hysteria Rises) needs to be read first.
This book is as dark as the first one and the trigger warnings are no joke. Did I say as dark ? it's probably darker.
Delilah and the boys's relationships continue to grow, slowly, because nothing is easy when you are under the Collective's thumb.
No Carnage Rules is not an easy read. It's raw, it's challenging, I even questioned my sanity for wanting more, for turning the pages like a junkie looking for their next fix.
And of course it ends on a cliffhanger, because, why not? I'm already hooked.
