I really was enjoying this book until I realised that the story did not end properly. There was somewhat of a cliffhanger. I really hate that. I have marked the story down because of this.

Penny Lane-Parker really knows how to craft a story of all the elements of real life into a fast-paced drama that grabs you! The characters are real, sometimes flawed, and ready to give their all in the face of adversity. It makes me angry when someone in a position of trust betrays the one trusting, pushing past all decently for greed. Some do in reality, and this book gives you hope to cling to. But I mustn't give away too much; get the book and see for yourself! The slow burn romance, the intrigue, the politics, human nature at its best and worst, this book will delight!!

This book was fantastic...I loved every minute reading it. I love her style of writing. She is so descriptive and makes the characters come alive. Even Mr. Nixon had a personality which I loved especially since he is a dog. I hope she writes the next book really quick...I can barely wait to find out what happens next.

A very wonderful book!

A whole village works together to save a very old lighthouse!It also has a good romance. It is a very clean book.
