A month ago, Liam discovered that creatures he hadn't thought possible were all around him. Apparently, his memories were supposed to be wiped? Except he's immune and it didn't take. He thought it'd be fine if he just kept his mouth shut, but the Supernatural Council are assholes and when he started googling 'werewolf porn', they kidnapped him and took him to a city he'd never heard of where there are no humans at all. Like, none. At least they set him up with an apartment and a job.

Ayden works for Monster Mercenaries, a company that just secured an unheard of century-long contract with the Supernatural Council. The price for Monster Mercenaries' successful bid? They've agreed to be part of the Council's human rehoming programme when someone sees something they shouldn't. It should have been small print they didn't have to worry about given the tight rein the Council keeps on their kind. But, somehow, they ended up with their first rescue on week two of their contract. And Ayden drew the short straw on who has to keep an eye on him.

Ayden could barely control his incubus hunger and instincts in a city without humans, but now he has a pretty little assistant sitting right in view of his desk. How long until he bends Liam over it?

Ayden & his human

This was a fantastic short story! It is fun to see some behind the scenes of the Lunetti Pack Series. To say that Ayden and Liam are perfect for each other is an understatement. Even though Liam is human. I enjoyed the situations Liam found himself in due to not understanding how a simple offer to help could be a come on. There is humor, p!Emry of smexy stuff, I mean Ayden IS an incubus, and even love. Can't wait for the next demon to fall for a human. Hopefully it is grumpy stick in the.....mud... Gabriel!

Liam discovered the world of the Supernatural after his life fell apart. So now, at a Halloween party, he's unsure who's human and who isn't after "they" failed to erase his awareness. Now he's been relocated to a secret supernatural city and given a job working for a lust demon Ayden, the one who relocated him, his mate. Their steamy relationship is in a constant state of lust and fulfillment. Horns, tails, tongues, you bane it,Liam needs it. A very hot and spicy novella.

This was a very quick but enjoyable read and I thought that it was a good start to the Monster Mercenaries Series, which is set in the same world as the Lunetti Pack Series. It was steamy as hell but considering one of the characters is an incubus and his soul mate would no doubt be a match for him it makes complete sense. I liked that Ayden knew exactly what Liam needed before Liam even needing to voice his favourite things, it’s part of the incubus nature. I also liked that Liam wanted to make sure that Ayden got everything he wanted, as he wanted to make Ayden equally as happy. I enjoyed meeting the owners of Monster Mercenaries and I wonder who will next at finding their mate. I’m looking forward to reading each of their books as this series continues, as well as more books from Mel Aitchess in the future. I’d recommend this novella and author to others.

I LOVED this book from the very first page!!!

I swear I was mentally inserting myself into the MMC's place the entire time... and unfortunately for my real-life circumstances, reality has failed me terribly 😭

I genuinely feel like this is something every MM monster romance lover needs to read because this is the kind of fictional fate we secretly stare at the ceiling and dream about at 2 a.m.

I was emotionally thriving.

I was spiritually thriving.

I was kicking my feet and staring at walls.

Then I discovered it was a standalone...

And I felt : genuine heartbreak

Actual devastation.

I am currently begging the goddess Artemis herself to intervene and somehow turn this into a full series because I refuse to accept that I only get one book in this world.

I LOVED IT.
