The plots of the Pam of Babylon books are always pretty dark. This prequel gives the back story to Julie Hsu but it seems like it should have been part of the other books since it is just a scene or two. The author expands into Julie’s poor choices. It is well-written but I was not impressed. I received the book free but my review is voluntary.
I love all the stories from Pam of Babylon, which is one of my favorite series. This book talks about Julie dating Brent and continues through her father killing Brent and it's immediate aftermath. Great short story!
I love the whole PAM OF BABYLON, series and this one fits in perfectly. I was happy to find out what happened to Julie Hsu and look forward to reading more about her in upcoming books.
Julie was the love of Brent's(Pam's son) life and his fiancee. She had loved him since she was 16 years old. In book 6, THE TAO OF PAM, Julie's dad shot and killed Brent. We didn't hear much about her until book 9 when she came in during a family dinner for Pam and John. Now I am hoping she will come in ready to fight for what she wants and I do have an idea of who or what she wants.. At least I hope I am right. It's time for someone else to see what it's like to be done wrong, not just Pam.
I am so anxious to get the next PAM OF BABYLON BOOK, book 10, I'll Always Love You, which will be available in June 2015.
Suzanne Jenkins has a wonderful gift and awesome imagination no matter what she writes. This series is wonderful and I am in no hurry to see it end. The 1st book is always free on Amazon and the beginning of one of the most awesome series I have ever read. I know you will love it too if you like drama, love, family, backstabbing, two timing, more love and a lot of twists, turns and surprises along the way.
I love the short stories that Suzanne writes as a prequel to her next story. It's nice to know more about the character Julie and Brent's death. I'm anxiously awaiting her next book in the series.
My, my, what a tangled web it IS! I am a huge fan of the Babylon series, and can see where the next book is headed (though I could be wrong). I'm enjoying the twist this author is making in the storyline.
