I loved this so much!! I love everything Krista Street writes, and this was no different. She’s never written an MC that I didn’t like and didn’t become completely invested in.

I’m so keen for the next installment, and I’m so glad that it’s only a month away, but OMG IT’S A WHOLE MONTH AWAY!!

Thank you, Krista for sending me a copy of this book! All thoughts are my own.

Wow, this is by far my favorite book from this author. I love how she has crafted such an amazing world, the magic is so interesting and all the different kingdoms have their own characteristics. Personally, I would love to have elemental magic from Faewood.

The story follows a fae named Prim who is searching for the wishing stone so that she can save her uncle from a mysterious disease. One day her neighbor, Abel, is being really annoying and decides to claim her as his betrothed and she runs into this other male and kisses him to prove to Abel that she belongs to him. The scene had me in a chokehold. It was so fun! Well, it turns out that this male is Kole Swordwielder and he works for the imperial council. He is also looking for the wishing stone so they sent out together to search for it.

This book was funny, it had great tension, it was adventurous. I loved the creatures they have to fight along the way and then the Woods scene was really interesting. There’s a scene with a certain book Prim was reading that had me giggling. I think the humor added just the right amount of relief to Kole’s grumpy nature. I couldn’t put this book down at all. The ending really surprised me. I kept trying to guess what was going to happen but I didn’t expect it! This is a book you need to have on your radar!

Stone of Legends is an absolute delight, a fast‑paced, magical adventure with a heroine who shines from the very first page.

Prim is a powerhouse. Bold, determined, and brimming with magic, she’s the kind of heroine who doesn’t just step into danger… she nearly barrels into it on a magic carpet. Her strength isn’t just in her power, but in her heart — her loyalty to her uncle drives the entire quest, giving the story real emotional weight.

Kole is a great contrast to her. Guarded, careful, a little mysterious, but clearly a good fae beneath the layers. Their first meeting - Prim nearly crashing into him - sets the tone for a friendship that feels natural, warm, and full of potential. He’s the calm to her chaos, and it works beautifully.

Prim’s quest to find the wishing stone is already exciting… and then bam, the twist hits. The kind you genuinely don’t see coming. Suddenly the story widens, darkens, and promises a rollercoaster of revelations and danger ahead. You can feel the shift: Prim’s journey is only just beginning, and it’s going to be wild.

A magical, surprising, wonderfully crafted start to what feels like an epic adventure.

Spice: tension but no spice

I knew the cliffhanger was coming… I knew it was coming, and I was still absolutely WRECKED!!! I have read almost all of Krista Streets books and honestly I hit the end every time and am still left floored and waiting (im)patiently for the next book and this book was no different! Stone of Legends was such a great read! I loved Prim right from the beginning. She’s endlessly optimistic, she makes friends easily, and she loves deeply. Just an all around amazing character! I also really liked Kole, I would love to see some chapters from his POV so I could get a deeper understanding of him and his motivation. But he was a stoic, possessive, protective character who seems to be smitten with Prim. There were so many twists and turns in this book that I really couldn’t for even a second imagine putting this book down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. So if you’re in the mood for a grumpy/sunshine romance, with lots and lots of tension and pining, some hilarious banter, a rollercoaster ride of what’s going to happen next moments, and an ending that’ll have you flipping pages like what do you mean that’s the end while looking for the release date for book two then I highly recommend grabbing a copy of Stone of Legends today!

Such an epic tale. Prim grabbed me from day one with her heart, strength, and positivity. Her love for her family was clear from page one. Because of that she has committed to a dangerous journey far north to find the Wishing Stone to save her uncle Timith from his illness. The only family she’s ever known. Legends say that if you find the stone, you can make a wish, and it will come true. Hundreds are chasing the stone and the dangers across the fae realm are real and could lead to death, but Prim has a few tricks up her sleeve. During her journey she meets a Warrior Fae, Kole, and a truce brings them together as they journey further north. The story and plot was so good and the steam and angst made me twitchy in all the right ways cannot wait to see how the story continues in book 2. That cliffhanger made me sad, but I know Krista will do right by her readers! 5 stars!

What an adventurous quick read, I just didn't want to put it down. I have read most of Krista Street's books and love her Supernatural world. This story was no different.

Prim is a determined Fae who wants to save her uncle as he has fallen mysteriously ill. Her only thoughts are of trying to save him. So she's going on a quest to find the Wishing stone that will grant the finder a single wish. Along her journey she runs into many other Fae who are also looking for the stone and not all of them are nice. But her strength, drive and positivity keep moving her forward. As well as her unique and secret magic. While searching for the stone she encounters Kole a royal guard, who happened to be in the right place at the right time, when some unfortunate things have occurred. Kole tells Prim he is out on business for the Kingdom and they form an alliance as he has said he seems to be going in the same direction she is, and wants to keep her safe.

Prim is outgoing, positive, an open book and a ray of sunshine. While Kole is grumpy, doesn't like to show any emotions and keeps to himself. Yet their reluctant slow burn chemistry is so adorable.

The end of the story brings us some twists and turns and a small cliffhanger. I can't wait to see where the next book takes our characters.

Stone of Legends is the first book in the Fae of Legends and Lore series, a fae fantasy romance trilogy. This trilogy is set in the author’s Supernatural World but does not require the reading of any other series. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the author for my paperback ARC.

Tropes and themes include:
✨Slooooowwwwburn
✨Fated mates? Maybe?
✨He falls first
✨Grumpy x shunshine
✨Touch her and die
✨Forced proximity
✨Betrayal

Rating: 5/5 Stars 1/5 Flames

The Lovely: Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the ground. That was a wild ride that I entirely got lost in and read in one night. FMC Prim is a clever, loyal ray of sunshine. The MMC is… broody at best. After secret I’m not sure what to even say other than wow.

Also Lovely: The world feels kind of like what we’ve seen in the prior series but a bit darker and mysterious. And the creatures of that wood are rather nightmare inducing.

Recommendation: I have a number of conflicting emotions after that ending - sadness and rage being the biggest. It’s not a life-or-death cliffy per se but it will leave you reeling. I’m glad book two is only a month away but at the same time, it will be a long month.

A Krista Street romantasy was definitely what I needed to spark my love of reading again & this book was exactly what I expected it to be. Being the first in the series, it started out at a good pace. Being introduced to all of the characters & the plot, nothing out of the ordinary.

The main character, Primelle, is definitely likeable, yet a little cookie cutter for an FMC in a fantasy book. I’m not mad about it though since I haven’t been reading, it was nice to get what I expected from her character. I would have to say the same for the MMC. Not much more to say about a guy with the last name Swordwielder, but I still liked him. Very morally black if you ask me.

The plot is straightforward which I enjoyed, but there were still a couple twists along the way to keep things interesting. I kind of did see it coming, but again, I knew that this book would be what I expected it to be. I’m super excited to see where the second book takes us after that ending. Hopefully there will be a few things in the rest of the series that takes me by surprise.

There was nothing inherently wrong with this book. The writing was just very weird. I felt like I was reading the inside thoughts of a teenager. It was uncomfortable. Things that shouldn’t have required explanation, received far too much. Similarly, things or scenes I wish had more context were glossed over because everything happened in this girl’s head. It definitely needed editing. It DEFINITELY needed a thesaurus. I read an entire page about a “simple yet risky plan. That if it worked then my gamble would pay off but if it didn’t then I was screwed”. An actual quote…. And we NEVER heard what this mysterious risky and simple gamble was going to be. Like I said, there was nothing wrong per se. But the style was not for me. I feel like in the age of technology we have so many opportunities (free and paid for) to edit and flesh out stories that I’m getting frustrated with so many mediocre ones flooding platforms.

So gripped throughout this book. I’m so invested in Primelle’s story. She is a strong MFC and I love her. Shes amazing.
Her constant ability to stay optimistic is a breath of fresh air and I appreciate that in her character. The love she has for her family and friends.

The introduction of Kole. I was SOLD.

However… all of the information stacked at the end. WTF

Prim’s life is turned upside down and my heart broke along side hers. The amount of betrayal is intense and all of the secrets and massive upheaval of her life really hits you in the heart. For me its how much she tries to keep going and doesn’t break even though shes not related to her aunt and uncle that raised her. Her parents are alive. Shes not allowed you use the stone SHE FOUND!! Oh and Kole 😭😭😭😭 that hurt so much. Hes doing his job but at the expense of hurting her a betrayal hard to come back from.

10000000% recommend. Serious slow burn though….

Review of advance copy received from Publisher
March 23, 2026
Well, after finishing this series opener, I’m completely gob smacked (I love English terms! LOL!)! Let’s back up though. This book starts a new series in this author’s previous series. I’d forgotten that, and I kept thinking I’d read about this world before. Duh. Anyway, we are introduced to Kole and Prim, one a warrior, one a niece trying to save her uncle. We are swept away on an adventure where Prim tries to outrun all her competitors for a Wishing Stone, and of course, danger follows. I just loved this book, and that ending…wow! I didn’t see that coming. Well-written, engaging, entertaining…and so many obstacles for the two main characters to overcome. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I loved the slow burn and the quiet chemistry between Kole and Prim. I am absolutely intrigued with what it’s going to happen next, and the end for this book (even with the cliffhanger) it was very good ! As a hardcore Krista Street fan I will be super honest, the beginning of the book was tough for me. Idk why, I just felt detached from the story and the characters and I realize, to some extent it’s normal because I just met them for the first time. It was just hard for me and I was a little…..not bored but I wasn’t excited. But a little before the halfway mark, when the main characters were spending more time together and their interactions began I was sold. I love the rapid release style of Krista’s series because I don’t have to wait long to continue the story 🙌🏽

Thank you so much @authorkristastreet for the review copy of this book! I’m so honoured 🥹💜

💜💎 My Thoughts 💎💜

Trope Lineup
💎 Touch Her and 💀
💜 Forced Proximity
💎 Grumpy x Sunshine
💜 Slow Burn
💎 Plot Twists and Turns

Favourite Quote: But Kole’s aura swelled even more, and in a low, lethal voice, the warrior replied, “She’s mine. You touch her, and you die.”

Stone of Legends is the first book in the ‘Fae of Legends & Lore’ series by Krista Street, and I am SO excited to be back in her bookish world.

Give me a touch her and ☠️ moment and I’m so immediately sat. Especially if the man is tall, brooding, and e x t r e m e l y grumpy.

It has honestly been so long since my last grumpy x sunshine book, and Primelle was such a breath of fresh air. She was cheerful, but her optimism didn’t hold her back from adventure and from fighting for those she loves.

I will mention, I am absolutely FURIOUS over that ending. Like I was sitting in shock at this book, not-so-quietly raging for our girl.

It is always such a joy to be back in the world that Krista Street has carefully curated, these books are always so well thought out, action packed, with juicy amounts of tension- and Stone of Legends was no exception.

I’d recommend this book to anyone looking for a fantasy series that flows well, has loveable characters, and an epic adventure.

Stone of Legends is the first book in Fae of Legends & Lore, a new fae fantasy romance series by Krista Street. This book takes place in Krista’s Supernatural World and can be read as a standalone series. I absolutely loved this book! Krista excels at fast paced and exciting storytelling, with strong and capable FMCs and broody and mysterious MMCs who will stop at nothing to protect their love interest. The world feels familiar yet the story and characters are unique. If you enjoy fated mates, forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, and touch her and ☠️, then you should definitely read this book! The story ends on a cliffhanger and our FMC Prim learns a shocking discovery! I can’t wait to read what happens next in book 2! Stone of Legends is the perfect start to this new series!

Another great story by Street

This is the third series I’ve read by Krista Street. I absolutely devoured her two other Fae kingdom series, and this one is a great addition.

Full disclosure: I wasn’t sure about the first couple of pages. It seemed a little bit drawn out and repetitive. But the story picks up super quickly and is fast-paced through the remainder.

First-person, single POV from the FMC
.5/5 🌶️ Steamy, no spice yet. It’s coming, though!
No one writes yearning quite like Krista Street, and I can already tell this slow burn is going to really ignite in the next book.

Krista Street can do no wrong!

There hasn’t been a book Krista Street has written that I haven’t devoured immediately. I don’t know what she sprinkles in her writing but I can never put the book down until it’s completely finished.

Never any spoilers…
Loved book 1 - and it hurts knowing I have to wait a full month until the next installment because this ending was UGGGHH so good. As all of her books, I know it will be worth the wait. Highly recommend not only this book but any of her series.

Loved this book! Kept me engrossed the whole way through. Primelle has been brought up by her aunt and uncle since the death of her parents and when her uncle is struck down by a mysterious illness that is killing him, she goes in search of the legendary Wishing Stone that will grant her the wish of saving his life. Prim has hidden powers that she doesn't reveal and along the way encounters the Imperial Warrior Kole who helps her when she meets dangerous monsters and villains. There is heartbreak and betrayal too as well as a hidden romance. Looking forward to book 2

This one hit the mark for me.

Absolutely excited new read.
The world whole the same as the others in Krista's works, has once again gained a layer of depth that—to me— is phenomenal. The plight of the character feels real and sets a great pace and sense of urgency. They all feel real and not flat. Though I wish there was a little more ....
I paced myself with reading this one, as I was waiting for the second to release. But I don't know if I can pace myself with book two in anticipation of book three .. ..

Wonderful

Wonderful book.i have read lots of other series set in this continent & all of them are 5*. Yet again this series tells a completely different story. No repeat with different names. Prim & Kole are my new favourite main characters & I can’t wait to read the next 2 books to learn who they really are & if they get a HEA. Fortunately not long to wait for book 2. If you love Fae Romance, a great story & characcters to die for buy this now.

Beautiful book as always, I love the magic, the romance, the hilarity, the adventure, and I especially love how amazing and bad ass the female lead was. However, there was some obvious things that she should have known about the male protagonist. I mean, there are so many suspicious actions that I can’t fathom how she didn’t understand what was truly happening. However, as always, there was some parts of the surprised twist that I was not expecting bravo!

Deeeeeefinitely a vibes read but vibes were good. Predictable but fast paced so it didn’t feel boring at any point. If you’ve already read her other books this kind of fits just like those with a betrayal at the end but she forgives him super fast… at least thats what I’m predicting. Anyway with how short these are I’ll very likely read the next one but I’m not exactly holding my breath

I am counting down the days till book two releases

Krista Street delivers a genuinely engaging read with this book. The writing is clean and confident, making it easy to stay immersed from start to finish. The pacing holds well, and the author has a strong sense of storytelling that keeps things moving without feeling rushed.
Overall, it’s a strong, enjoyable book that reflects a capable and thoughtful writer. If you’re looking for something well-written and easy to settle into, this is worth your time.

Surprisingly good. I’ve read many of Street’s books, DNF’d some, so I didn’t have high expectations and maybe that helped. Like her other books, it isn’t epic fantasy. But that’s ok, I don’t always want that. It was a quick read, I liked the MC’s, there was a twist at the end and I’m interested to see how that plays out in the next book. Also, this might’ve been my first exposure to the grumpy/sunshine trope, and I actually loved it!

I picked this book up and could barely put it down! (Mostly to sleep and eat)

I love Krista’s writing; it’s such a good balance of fantasy world building, not too much detail (that it’s boring), and romance! She is seriously one of my favorite authors. I loved Prim & Kole throughout the book and have SO many theories of what’s going on.

I am promptly going to pickup the next book and probably fly through that one too.

Juvenile. Cliche. FMC is vapid and her every banal thought is broadcast which is tiresome. I powered through despite laughing out loud at how dumb some of the writing was. I swear to god if I read that a “shudder racked through me” one more time I’m going to lose it. Anyway,
The last 5% got interesting, so I guess I’ll attempt the second book just to see if anything improves. The extra star was for the “cliffhanger” and slight uptick in interest at the end…

I can’t give 4.5 stars, so I round to 5 just because I like Krista Street, but! I felt a little bit disappointed with this book. The MFC seems like overly attached girlfriend, though they just met. She is bit too much and also hypocritical. She sticks to what she believes her uncle teaches her not to control the mind of others, but that’s exactly what she does in the forest.

A Must Read

I love Kole and Prim! Excellent characters, and so many twists in this book, I loved all the surprises. Also, what was nice, I've read other series by this author, so it was nice seeing some similarities, while also, it going in a different direction at the same time in the same universe if I'm saying it right but can't wait to see what happens next!
