Have you ever read a book that literally left you grieving, in tears, felt seen and your heart full??? If you haven’t pleaseeeeeeeeee I beg of you to read this duology !! I am left a blubbering mess! Chantelle you have a beautiful way with words and for story telling and I want to read not only everything you write but even your grocery list !!!! This story was beautiful, sad, and powerful. The romance was something I felt deep in my bones and I’m devastated. The women empowerment and rage I felt through each page left me in goosebumps. Really knows how to make you fall in love with August and Lily, their journey and then pull your heart out when it's still beating to be so painful beautiful bittersweet ending.

Knowing that with the greatest love, brings the deepest of sadness and grief when you lose that person who helps you become who you are meant to be. You are so entwined in each other to be together but also apart. You are each other's clarity in the midst of darkness and finding out who you are down to your core.

We all have to make decisions, that impact not only the past but the present and future.

I have been so grateful to have been a part of Chantelle's journey with her books and to be able to see it comes to its conclusion so heartbreakingly unbelievably good. It is devastating and so much love and loss.

I don't think I have ever cried so much tears throughout a book in its first few pages. It's been a turbulence of emotions.

The Threads Between completely captivated me. With witches who wield weaver magic facing extermination at the hands of hunters who fear them, Lily and August must fight for each other, their love, and the truth about themselves.

The magic system is intricately crafted and, at times, incredibly intimate. The vivid descriptions played out so clearly in my mind that I felt completely pulled into the story. The writing is beautiful, the plotting clever, and there were so many edge of your seat moments, that I found myself holding my breath.

And the twists? Brilliant. I thought I knew where the ending was heading, then the story surprised me again. The tension, the emotion, the magic, and the love at the heart of it all came together so beautifully.

This book left me utterly devastated and absolutely breathless. A haunting, immersive, beautifully written story that I won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Firstly, I want to just take a moment to express how incredibly proud of Chantelle. All I could think through this story is, “Grandma would be so proud of her.” and a part of me truly believes that she was telling me to convey that to you.

I have read all three of Chantelle’s books and with full honesty I can say that I have loved every single one. I had no doubt in my mind that I was going to enjoy her stories and saying that I enjoy them doesn’t convey my feelings towards these stories perfectly. I can see how much she has grown as an author throughout her writing, and I genuinely feel like The Witches’ Weave is where she really found her voice. If you know Chantelle at all, you know that this book embodies her fully, her kind heart, her deep love for those she cherishes, and bits of her soul can just be felt so deeply between the lines of these books. We have both shared a loss of someone who had the most beautiful soul, so I want to thank Chantelle for this book because in a way, I think you unknowingly helped me to accept some things and taught me how to carry that grief.

My thoughts on this book is that it crushed me completely, but it also felt like a warm and comforting hug to the pain that I and many others keep inside of us. One line that lingered with me was, “Grief wasn’t love misplaced. It was love’s proof of purchase…” I think it’s easy to ignore the grief and the loss that we are all unfortunately exposed to in life—a horrible and inevitable truth—but something beautiful can be brought out of that pain that had once been love for someone or something.

I saw myself so much in Lily and in August and as bitter-sweet as the ending to their story is, it’s a beautiful, honest, and realistic one and I loved it.

This book truly embodies what it means to have loved and to have lost and how we choose to hold pain and live with it. My word’s can’t do justice to how beautifully this book was written. I have no notes genuinely. A beautiful story from start to end. The magic system, the writing, the characters (there were so many but she made them each stand out and I loved that. They weren’t simply a body to fill a plot whole but an important thread in the weave of all things.) And at the center of it all are two beautiful characters, so wonderfully written, that stole the hearts of all.

What a beautiful end to such a great duology. That last little bit got me. It broke my heart but in the most beautiful way and left me hopeful. Not only was this a wonderful witchy tale about magic and friendships and overcoming the bad things, but it was also a great tale of Love and the footprint it leaves on your heart even when you lose the ones you love the most. What an amazing job from this author.

This book was beautiful, romantic, devastating, and full of the yearning I LOVEEEE in a book.

Lily and August’s connection completely pulled me in. Their bond felt so intimate and all consuming, and August’s journey from believing he was something monstrous, to discovering who he truly wanted to be was one of my favorite parts of the story.

And THE YEARNING. This man loves her with every part of himself, and I ate up every second of it.

Now…the ending absolutely wrecked me. It’s bittersweet, emotional, and one of those endings that makes you sit there for a minute after finishing because you’re not quite ready to let the characters go.

A gorgeous story about love, sacrifice, grief, and the kind of connection that can transcend even the impossible. Apparently “I’ll find you in every lifetime” romances are my emotional kryptonite. 🥺

This book destroyed me. And then it did it again a few more times. It is absolutely soul shattering. I loved every page! It is hard to truly describe the emotional rollercoaster that this book put me through. I am not sure I’ll ever be able to do it justice. The writing was incredible, the world was beautiful, and the characters took me into their story making me feel every moment of pain, frustration, but also happiness. This is a book that shatters you and will change your life because thinking about it will consume you. Good luck comparing anything else to this masterpiece!

I want to thank Chantelle for allowing me Beta read. Thank you!, This duology conclusion is stunning and as I’m still recovering from finishing it, and I will read the final version as well and listen to all the audio I can consume of it. I think about this book daily- it is was so beautifully written. I laughed, I cried. And when I tell you that I ugly cried for a prolonged period of time and still tear up thinking about it…let me tell you 😮‍💨. This duology lives on my heart- this conclusion was nothing I expected and so amazing. Chantelle not only concluded the story in the most beautiful and thought provoking way but it’s so memorable. Definitely add this to your TBR!

Chantelle, ma’am we need to talk because I need you to pay for my therapy bill after that heart-wrenching ending you made me suffer through! This book absolutely broke me but in the best way and if you need a book to make you feel and get a good cry in, enter at your own risk!

You pickup where the last book left off, with our FMC lily having narrowly escaped the unraveling done by August through his fathers influence at the end of the last book. With them now separated and August under his fathers control, plus having lost many of their friends, lily struggles to find the will to keep going. But those around her cannot let their deaths be in vain and try to come up with a solution that will get August out of his father’s clutches before he looses himself completely to his father’s corruption. Can she use the fragile bond between them to pull him out of this before even more witches are put at risk?

I absolutely loved this book and the whole story that the duology tells of love and sacrifice and a group of people hunted for who they are banding together to save each other, even if it means risking their own lives. The found family Lily has built around herself in this world who help build up her confidence and be there for her as she navigates this chaos is one of my favorite aspects of the books and the unbreakable bonds she forms with the others who refuse to run and instead want to stand and fight. The yearning of her and August for each other and seeing him still hope for her even amidst the corruption breaking him was so heartbreaking to read. And then that ending absolutely broke me in the best way, so prepare a big box of tissues for when you get there! Overall my rating 5/5!

August and Lily were one of my favorite fantasy romance couples of 2025 and book 2 was on my most anticipated reads of 2026.
I was not disappointed by this couple’s story. I loved the way it ended and I thought the author came up with a unique ending to their story.

My biggest issue with book 2 is the writing style. I have been beaten to death this year by fantasy romance ARCs and the over use of similes and fragmented/descriptive sentence. This story was particularly heavy handed with the sentence fragments.

Example: The bond hummed between us steady, present, alive. For me there was an overuse of these and I kept being pulled out of the intense moments by them. A few strategically placed to set the tone or tension, yes please. Writing them into multiple paragraphs in a row doesn’t work for me.

I've been so excite for this conclusion since devouring The Last Stitch. What a beautiful duology!!!! Gosh this ending took me by storm. Never expected that outcome. And I am so not mad about it in the slightest. Absolutely perfect for August and Lily. This book continues right where book 1 left off. Only a few months have gone by. It's fast paced, magical, has lovers that will do anything for each other and SO much more. I have been so invested with these characters since I met them. Gosh this book was so beautifully handled. Absolutely blown away. I will say some areas felt repetitive at times. Like just the wording of things. Liek the same thing being said multiple times just maybe in a slightly different way. I've noticed with Chantelle's work you just have to allot a handful of hours to sitting. Cause her books are ones you will not be able to stop and out down. Absolutely captivating! Goodness one I'm gonna be processing for some time to come.

You know how sequels sometimes just don’t hit quite as hard as the first book? Yeah..... that is absolutely NOT what happened here. The Threads Between completely unraveled me.

I’m not even exaggerating when I say I sobbed through basically the last eight chapters. Full-on ugly crying. Clutching my hands to my chest. Tears everywhere. I was a mess, and this book just kept coming for me.

Lily and August’s story put me through so many emotions that I don’t even know how to list them all. I loved them. I hurt for them. I had hope. I lost hope. I got it back….. Then I cried some more…..

This isn’t your traditional happily ever after, but somehow, it’s exactly the ending this story needed. It’s a heartbreak that somehow still feels perfect, and as much as it hurt me, I wouldn’t change it.

I actually finished this book a while ago, and I’ve struggled to write this review because I genuinely don’t feel like my words can do it justice. How do you explain a book that completely tears you apart and somehow leaves you loving it even more because of it?

The Threads Between is devastating, emotional, heartbreaking, and so beautifully written. I cannot recommend this duology enough. This story has been living rent-free in my head and my heart since I finished it, and I have a feeling it’s going to stay there for a very long time.

Just be prepared for tissues at the ending.

What happens when you are a witch that weaves magic in golden strands, but you are actively being hunted? Well… you have the beginning of this story, but you are just going to have to read to find out what happens.

Beautifully written with high-stakes slow burn love meant for anyone that believes love is worth fighting for.
