If I thought the first book was dirty, this one actually managed to top that 🥵 I honestly don’t know how Kali manages to put in so much sex along with some really heavy topics, but somehow it works?
The best thing about this book (except for all the filthy smut obviously) was an insane amount of love, care, protectiveness and healing ❤️🩹 It was all so genuine and whole-hearted that I didn't even care about too soon, too insta-love and all that. Found family was done so good and guys’ parents were just perfect.

I am just not sure about the whole group and Oliver thing. It was obviously stupidly hot, but I don’t quite understand how it all is supposed to work now between all of them, and it wasn’t addressed eventually. It’s like it was two separate poly relationships that almost became one 7-men thing and I can’t decide if I love it or hate it 🫠 That and probably some questional behaviour kept one star away)

Seriously, dude! What happened to the 'exploring bisexuality' arc? Why is the pacing so rushed—it’s like you’re being chased by a werewolf, and if you don’t surrender your butt virginity at light speed, you won’t be able to summon the moon to save your life!
Whether it's the smut or the BDSM elements, the writing is just bland, with zero chemistry and a super fast speed that’s genuinely uncomfortable to read.

I am kinda uncertain about the rating, but it is what it is. Wow the beginning felt rushed. Maybe, because Leland is so on edge, he has that frantic energy of someone who is at its wits end. We know from the previous book that Zac and Vince want him in their relationship as a third. It was kinda like a push and pull between them. He wants them, next thing he tells them to f*ck off. When we eventually find out where he’s coming from… it was pretty devastating. Amidst all these erotic encounters we deal with very severe trauma and depression. I loved how Zac and Vince helped Leland with his mental health, how supportive and kindhearted they were. Sweet Oli omg loves his best friend so fiercely 🫠 Overall we have a great found family here. Now on the spice scale - this is off the charts 🔥That group scene was absolutely incredible 💥🥵 I want more, more, more books from Kali Noir

I think I liked this one a little less than book one, purely because so much of the focus was on Leland and it felt like I didn't really get to know all that much about Vince and Zac because of it.
I do like these three together though and the different dynamics within their relationship were fun, but again, it did feel like Zac kind of got lost in the mix once Leland came into the relationship. It didn't feel as easy as the relationship between Oli and his guys.
The group scenes between the two polycules though were so good! I liked how they all care about each other enough to be able to merge their relationships when and if they want to. The arrangement between the two groups was actually really sweet and it really came across how much respect they all have for each other and how determined they all are that everyone gets their needs met.
Oli and Leland was a surprise, but also wasn't? They are the bridge between the two groups, but they also have their own relationship which was pretty much like hyperactive puppies finally being able to play with each other!
I've really enjoyed this series so far, and I hope there's more to come. I'd love to see a story for Jackson!

Where do I begin? I don't quite know what to say for this. I liked this but parts of this was tolerable at most. I don't know if it's the writing style or what.
First of all, Leland was raped at 14 by his coach and his father called him a liar. When Leland happens to see the coach while he's in the queue at a cafe with Zac he runs out, runs all the way out of town, ignores Zac and Vince calling him (his dom boyfriends) but answers 1 call from his best friend, and gets ready to jump off a cliff. I partly get this because every time I see my abusive ex in public I feel like I'm on the verge of a panic attack and I can't say I went through what Leland went through, but reading this felt a bit too overdramatic.
Another thing about this book, I read the first 2 and we see Oliver get with his 3 men (mmmm) but I did not expect Oliver and his men to be in this book fucking Leland and his men?? I'm going to be honest and say there was probably more romance between Oliver and Leland than anything else. Leland did not hold back as soon as he was given permission to touch Oliver even though they're both in separate relationships. Might as well call it a 7 men relationship (mmmmmmm) although where was Aiden? He was in it like 3 times maybe? Jace was there every time Oliver was.
On a positive note, I did like how Zac and Vince's mothers come in and automatically take Leland in and accept him. I think if there has been more wholesome scenes it just a few more scenes without any sex on the guys mind maybe my rating would be a bit higher?
Sex is in these guys' minds 24/7. Nothing else.
Also why does Leland help himself to move in? Yes the guys want him to and yes he's always there. But ask?? Yes Vince and Zac were 2 horny men who are obsessed with Leland so they don't care but I was like "wtf?"

good and smutty. group scenes went crazyyyyyy. like holy cow, i was having trouble keeping up with who goes where and what was happening. good plot line though. the mental health aspect was very thought out and felt integral to the story without it being overbearing. if there’s ever a third book i hope it’ll be about kenji and jackson or elise and her girls. it’ll be fun to have a diff couple while still being connected. lowkey it reminded me of necessary evils by onley james at times bc the couples overlapping. oliver and leland were just like zane and felix from NE, the softer of the two while still having a hard side. it was sweet in a way. lowkey i got annoyed with leland after a while bc he kept pushing these guys away who only wanted what’s best for him. ya ya trauma, but come on.

i loved seeing leland get his HEA — sweet boy deserved all the happiness even though he ran as fast as he could from it all, zach and vince were not letting him get away! this story was absolute filth as well as sweet and at parts emotional, leland has been suffering for the longest and to finally learn more about olis mysterious best friend and his history, well it held my attention completely.
i also love love loved the connection with all the men, i ate that up!

If you are looking for a spicy book with plot, you will not get it from this book - this is just 260-ish pages of smut, smut and more smut. And you know what? I ATE IT UP. Easily one of the spiciest books I've read 🥵
There were moments though that made me almost cry, poor Leland went through some horrible shit when he was a kid 😭 Happy to see him get his happy ending 💗 His relationship with Oliver especially were adorable and I'm not mad for the direction it went 🥰
I just know that the audiobook will be absolutely delicious when it's coming out 🥵

Somehow worse than expected. Skimmed to 50% and yeah…dnfing this series. Probably won’t pick up the next one if there is one. Just not for me. No chemistry, pacing is crazy out the ass fast (same as the last one, but in this case it’s even worse considering the circumstances with Leland), blah blah. It’s a no for me.

I have been waiting for this!!! We met Leland in Oliver's book and oh my... i knew this book would be spicy! I did NOT expect to fucking cry! Kali what the hell! I saw that there was past trauma with how Leland reacted after the party in book 1. However, this had me balling. Leland caves and makes a fantasy request. And who shows up to fulfill it. Vince and Zac! Obviously no one else should touch him! He fought it but they knew what he needed. It was better than he could have imagine! And of course that sent him into a spiral! Leland wanted it so bad but his past kept him in his head, second guessing his discussions and as a result his worth. He thought he was broken. That past reveal! Him being sexually abused over the course of a year by his track coach! Someone he trusted and confided in; only to be manipulated! Then his father’s reaction to him when he finally coming forward with his story. That hurt Kali! Leland deserves so much love! Daddy Vince giving him what he needs and Sir Zac being his safe space! Just beautiful! Now I was not ready for that group scene! Leland and Oliver coming together like that. Finally! Then them planning to share with friends! Damn! That whole scene had me giggling and kicking my damn feet! Leland and Jace! Then Ollie and Vince! 😍 Toby, Zac and Aiden! It was such a fun good time! I Loved every second of seeing all of them together! 👀 I'm telling you this was amazing! Also the zoom meetings are just too damn funny! I need book 3 to be Jackson’s story!!!

I am a fan of Ames Mills/Kali Noir. I already devoured 15 books and I just can't get enough. Why? Because she just writes the best polyamorous books out there. All combinations, some even consisting of 6 people, mostly men, some women and all hot AF. But most of all, all the relationships are so mature which is refreshing. A lot always happen around them, danger, fear, trauma, lots of emotional tormoil, sexual awakening, kink discovery, but at the core of it all they act very mature with each other. They talk a lot, are supportive, and there is so much love! Their relationships feel grounded, caring, and deeply real.
This is a sequel to One is Never Enough, where we see Oliver find his HEA with all of his men, and this time the focus is on Oli's best friend Levi. Zac and Vince have spent the past year pursuing Levi, convinced he’s the missing piece in their loving 20-year relationship. But Levi is running from them and fighting his demons in the meantime.
Watching Zac and Vince patiently break through Levi’s walls was honestly beautiful. They are sweet, caring, endlessly supportive, and exactly what Levi needs. The book tackles some heavy topics — suicidal thoughts, depression, trauma — with a lot of care and compassion. At the same time, it still delivers everything I love about Kali Noir’s writing: emotional intensity, tenderness, and extremely spicy scenes.
And the spice? Absolutely top-tier. Hot, kinky, emotionally charged, and never there just for shock value. There are a lot of intimate scenes, but they always serve a purpose, whether it’s deepening the relationships or pushing the characters’ emotional arcs forward.
I loved the dynamic between these characters. Zac and Vince have been together for so long and share a deep connection and love. Levi is their cherry on top of everything and I love the way they fight for him.
The daddy kink usually makes me cringe a little, but somehow it really worked here. My only criticism is that the story sometimes felt a bit too polished. I would have liked a little more rawness and emotional messiness to balance everything out. Still, this was an incredibly emotional, sexy, and satisfying read.

DNF 30%. I wanted to love this, but the writing was so incredibly rushed, lacked description and depth just dumped us into it. Read more like a first or second draft. Vince and Zac had the same tone, so I kept getting confused who was speaking. No build up at all. And Leland was so hot and cold in the first 30% it was giving me whiplash.

Another great book in the Dark Desires series! This one follows Leland, Oliver’s friend from book one, as he runs from and to Vince and Zac. There is a lot of mental health struggles depicted and I think it was handled well. This one definitely had some dark themes, so please do your due diligence and read the trigger/content warnings. The spice was phenomenal as usual. Kali Noir writes some of the best mm & mm+ scenes. There were some incredibly hot scenes, but the authors handled the more intimate and tender moments wonderfully as well. I’ll also never again think of zoom meetings the same way between Oliver’s book and this one! So good! I definitely recommend this book!

Holy hell that was hot. Look sometimes you need a book that practically 80% hot, fun, spicy times and 20% story. This is the perfect book/series for that. Man there was some hard things in there that could be triggering for others so make sure you check your content warnings. Like with Oliver's story, Leland's had some hard times that he went through. I love the strength that Kali writes Leland with and how eventually he gets to understand and know that he has it in him. It takes a lot for him to open up about his past, but with Vince and Zac there for him, he eventually gives in.
Also we still got quite a bit of Jace, Toby, Aiden & Oliver in this book. I am so excited that the book is out now as I have been hoping for Leland's story after I read One is Never Enough and this did not disappoint.

It takes a lot for him to open up about his past, but with Vince and Zac there for him, he eventually gives in.
Also we still got quite a bit of Jace, Toby, Aiden & Oliver in this book. I am so excited that the book is out now as I have been hoping for Leland's story after I read One is Never Enough and this did not disappoint.

I dnf at 50%. There was a huge reveal with Leland and then it’s like okay my men know now and I’m all good and let’s go have a sex fest with the guys from book 1. Just shaking my head. They went from 0-100.

Are you actually joking with me?! Are you freaking joking?! OMFG
I knew I needed to read this book the second I found out it was about Leyland, and I needed to rate it immediately because I am absolutely, completely and utterly obsessed with him. I love him so much it’s actually ridiculous 😭
This book was emotional, beautiful, spicy, and so freaking delicious. I loved the mental health element woven throughout the story, and my heart hurt so much for Leyland. He deserved so much better, and honestly, I just want to wrap him up in bubble wrap and kiss his little forehead
And then we have Zac and Vince.
MM romance is already incredible, but MMM romance?! Are you joking with me?! 🔥
Leyland hooking up with his best friend from the previous book AND his best friend’s husbands? I was GONE. Absolutely gone. And I am so freaking obsessed with Zac and Vince. The way they are both so completely obsessed with Leyland? I cannot cope. I loved watching him finally start to understand his feelings and stop running from everything he had spent so long fighting.
And the fact that we get spicy moments with characters from the previous books too?! I genuinely cannot handle it. I love when a series brings back characters we already know and love, and this was just perfection.
Leyland's journey was emotional, messy, beautiful, and so incredibly worth it. Watching him finally allow himself to want what he wants and just give in had me feeling EVERYTHING.
I am also SO obsessed with how interconnected this whole series is. I love seeing all the characters from the previous books pop up and watching all their stories and relationships connect together. It makes me so freaking happy AHHHH.
And now I am really hoping I am correct about who the next book is going to be about because I THINK it might be Kenji and Jackson 👀 And I am PRAYING that I am right because I will be so freaking happy. Like, Kali Noir, please. I need this. I need them 🔥

5/5⭐️ I have been WAITING for this book like an absolute gremlin and it DELIVERED. I was so excited for Leland, Vince, and Zac’s story and somehow it still exceeded my expectations.
Now listen. I have a rating system in my head and this 5 stars is not the same kind of 5 star as something like God of Fury or To Catch a Firefly where I’m emotionally destroyed and questioning life afterwards. This is the “I inhaled this in 2 sittings, physically could not put it down, immediately need to reread it” kind of 5 stars.
The pacing? Addictive. The plot? Enough to keep me fully invested. The spice? GOOD LORD. Legit some of the best spice ever. If you’ve read Kali Noir before or her books as Ames Mills then you already know the assignment 🥵
I had theories about Leland’s past and I was sort of right but holy shit, parts of his story were genuinely heartbreaking. Vince and Zac were EVERYTHING he needed too. Patient, loving, supportive, and willing to meet him where he was instead of trying to force him into healing overnight. I loved them so much for that.
There were also so many sweet moments mixed in between all the chaos. The bonus moms being instantly welcoming, Leland starting therapy, his friendship with Oliver growing… I ate all of that up.
And obviously we know I love a brat. Zac and Leland pushing buttons and being absolute menaces together? Incredible. Sprinkle in Toby and I was SOLD.
Also the found family vibes with Oliver and his men??? Yeah. That delivered HARD. I was hoping certain things would happen and when they actually did I was kicking my feet 🥵😈👀 like holy fuck yes please.

I wanted to love it as much as Oli’s book but I have mixed feelings about it.
1. Love the fact all the guys let Oli & Leland explore everything & make sure they don’t feel ashamed at all about their desires.
2. I hate that they shared x)
I see how it made sense but at the same time it didn’t make sense. I would have never thought Jace will accept to share Oliver.
OR WORST that he wanted to taste Leland like NO You are obsessed with your men!!!
Before Oliver, Jace, Toby & Aiden were 100% not at all interested in Orgy. It was them and nobody else. Oli was their only exception.
So yes the fact he wanted to make Oliver happy I get this part.
But I don’t like the fact that he actually wanted it and was into it.
So he’s mixed feelings. Loved it on the logical/primal/animalistic/love side while hating it on the emotional part.
The other part was the fact I wanted to see more interaction between Vance & Vic WITHOUT Leland.
At one point Vance says he feels like an asshole for neglecting Vic and then nothing. We didn’t see him trying to spend time alone with Vic. So I was really missing to see them together the way we saw Toby with Jace or Aiden. (Ok didn’t happened much but enough for me to see how they were really in love).
At the end I don’t like the fact they are attracted to each other as a group of 7. I wanted them obsessed OBSESSED with their own love interests.
Even though the connection between Jace & Leland kind of makes sense bc Jace is also a provider/Dom/caregiver so caring for him makes sense.
So yes those 2 points left me unsatisfied

Woah.
I could not put this one down. I’ve had it in my library since it released. I waited so long for this one I didn’t think it would ever come 🥺 I wanted to read it as fast as I got my hands on it but I knew I needed to be in a safe space to do so. as a sa survivor, I know first hand about Leland’s struggles to come to terms with how long the abuse happened and why it’s so hard not to blame yourself or how twisted it is to some ppl not to understand that it could go on for years before the abuse stops. Not able to tell anyone about during let alone after. I was also a child at the time with no one to tell. But thankfully when it was brought to light I wasn’t turned away by my family like Leland was 😭😭😤😤 this is a book I would want to read again for the first time.
Now for the guys OMFG 🥵🥵🥵🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
The scenes together and those group scenes 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I cannot run fast enough to MMM+🤤🤤🤤 I’m so happy for Leland and Oli 🤩🤩 the fact the Jace and Vince know, allow and accept them as a package deal is super special and I’m glad they are able to be free to do whatever they choose and the rest of them enjoy to sit back and watch (and join 😋😋)
And shout out to the guys moms 🫶🏼🫶🏼👏🏼👏🏼 they’re the real MVPs

As much as I love book one, and I do love it, this one is by far my favorite.
I loved Leland in book one, and even though he wasn't a main character, I was always intrigued by his character and loved the support he showed. I was really hoping he would get his own book.
You cannot help but love leland. I found myself relating to his struggles of not knowing who you are and all of the overwhelming feelings with trying to determine what to do with yourself or where you fit into the world and with whom.
I love the throuple dynamic. They were incredibly patient and supportive and truly understood how he was feeling. And where he was coming from and pushed him, but never too far.
Kali never fails to deliver spice in this book, had it in spades, and then some, while still giving you the characters that you love and a plot that makes you happy and sad, and it makes you cry, and it makes you angry, and still completely relatable. I won't say the overall storyline is heavy, but there are definitely some heavy topics in this book.
I'm really hoping that we get another side character from this book and book one that gets their own story. Again, definitely, one of my favorite reads and Kali shoots to the top of one of my favorite authors.
