Utterly, Wrongly Hilarious
I became a fan of Ms. Timmins reading her dark romances. With her understanding of the human psyche, this normally kinky, but not dark reader fell in love, so I decided to check out her other works.
Romantic comedy is totally my thing, but I wasn’t sure what to expect between this being her freshman effort and so far on the opposite end of her writing spectrum, but I should never have doubted. Her plot had me sold almost from the get-go. I mean, seriously... A broken Johnson? Who’d’ve thunk it?
I found myself laughing hysterically at Alex, the hero’s, antics. I mean, the family jewels are most men’s pride and joy, so his drama and trauma was too funny. Also, it’s not often I read a romance from the hero’s perspective, so that was unique.
While there were some minor things, the story was the quality I’d expect from a Timmins read. It was also really cool to see how far Timmins has come and how much she’s grown from her earlier efforts.
I can’t wait to read about Alex & Shay’s friends and family!

I Honestly couldn't but this book down once I picked it up . I'm glad it's part of a series .
The story was original, funny and the author's writing made me fall in love with the characters .
Seriously, if you're looking for a new book to repeat read This author 's Hilarious , Steamy feel good storyline is sure to hit the right spot

Oh my goodness its such a long time since I have read a book that has left me both laughing my head off and getting all mushy too! Even though I'm female I will admit to my eyes watering at the unfortunate incident that occurred at the beginning of the book! Poor Alex is all I will say without giving too much away!
Self titled manwhore Alex meets a blast from the past in the shape of the sexy female cousin of one of his best friends, Logan. They all go way back and despite Alex knowing Shay for some years, she is now all grown up and sparks fly for both of them. Somewhat incapacitated owing to "The Incident" Alex has to enter unfamiliar territory when he is forced to get to know a woman before he takes her to bed and honestly he really made me swoon in his actions several times.
Add to the mix the fact that Logan plus Shay's father who aren't 100% (or even 50) convinced that they should be together either!
The POV was brilliant as well and I love it when you get a story written from the male perspective. I really loved being inside Alex's head!
This book also gives some fabulous leads to the stories of Dante and Logan the two partners in crime but also both seem to have interesting stores in their own right I really need their stories and look forward to reading more from S H Timmins!
This is definitely worth a read and will have you chuckling and swooning in equal measures. I really love Alex cannot wait for more!

Found the scene of the 'incident' funny and was good that the H got hurt during sex while was thinking of the h but was with someone else.
Then the storyline and characters fell flat for me. Being all Alex's pov you don't really get to know Shay that well, what her thoughts are on the 'incident' and just her personality etc so was hard to connect to her character.
Found the majority of this ott drama. Kylie's character and her friends got annoying, I mean she wouldn't of enjoyed the 1st time, why would she want to try again and then I didn't understand why the rejection escalated into what it did.
Then you have Alex's friends who are all partners of the bar, have know each other 11 years but Dante has secrets that Alex now questions and feels he doesn't know him, didn't make sense to me.

Bent is a hilarious, sexy and sweet book. It's been a long time since a book made me laugh out loud and I don't mean just one or two times. I laughed throughout the entire story. I love that this book is more about the story, Alex and Shay falling in love, then it is about sex. Don't get me wrong. The sex is there and it's good but it's not the focus of the book. Alex and Shay are the focus and I love that. You get to watch the love Alex has for Shay unfold and it is so sweet.
This is a true blue RomCom. I can't wait to read Logan and Dante's books. Bent is an awesome debut by a promising writer.

I absolutely adored this book!! I laughed my ass off through the whole thing. Ms. Timmins does an excellent job depicting the male psyche (I was the only girl in my family, growing up, so I know the male psyche all too well!). Alex and Shay were just the kind of couple I needed to hang out with. They were laid back. All the drama was happening around them, instead of to them, trying to keep them apart. It was a breath of fresh air.
I can't wait to move on to the next one in the series!!

3.5 stars. Quick, fun and hilarious read!
I didn’t expect what unfolded in this book. The story is laugh-out-loud hilarious, and at points I was laughing so hard it brought tears to my eyes. Very refreshing, and OMG, poor Alex!
I LOVE the author’s writing style and would have rated the book higher, but there are numerous typos, grammatical errors and formatting issues which distracted me from totally enjoying the story.

This is the first book by S.H Timmins that I have read but definitely will not be my last. I have never laughed so hard while reading a romance book that I actually had to stop to wipe my eyes. This hilarious story told from the males point of view was not only funny but very touching as well.

This was not what I expected at all!! Omg I couldn’t stop laughing all the way through it was so funny and witty as well as being romantic too. I genuinely enjoyed it and will be reading more!! I couldn’t put it down!

DNF -Quit at 5%
Well, the blurb sounded interesting but the actual beginning of the book didn't leave me interested at all. Three man-whore type guys running an over the top bar, and one of the three- his apartment is named the "pleasure palace" - was not a good way to start out, it immediately lost my interest because I didn't like the men at all. I rarely like books with man-whores of any kind. The idea of it turns my stomach to think about a guy with a different lady or ladies every night- just yuck.
At my age, life is to short & my time to important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

If you like a good chuckle and a whole load of love and romance then this is the book for you!
We meet Alex, a self proclaimed man whore who runs a successful club with his two best friends, Dante and Logan. He loves life and loves the ladies more, that is until one night he ends up in the ER with an injury that takes him out of action in the ladies department.
Enter a long lost childhood friend, Shay, who immediately catch Alex's eye when she comes to work undercover in their club. She's all grown up in more than one sense and Alex finds himself in the unenviable position of wanting to get to know her better! He has several obsticles in his way, mainly the fact he is out of action. He has to pursue this amazing woman the more conventional way and here is where the romancing begins. Once he starts on this path, he also finds that to get his way in to Shay's life and her heart he also has to win over Logan (the overprotecting cousin) and her father!
I won't give too much away but this book leaves you howling with laughter one minute, swooning the next and then leaves you hanging (in a nice way) with regard to the stories behind the other main men, Dante and Logan.
Even though this is plugged as being part of a series, it is a nice book to read in its own merit and don't let the fact it is the first book put you off. You get a complete story but are only left wanting more because of the two other amazing men that appear! It is also refreshing to because you get to enjoy the entire ride from inside Alex's head and believe me when I say it's pretty hilarious at times! Fab read and can wait for more! :)

I have finished Bent: Destination Series, the debut novel by S.H Timmins. I loved every singe second of this book! I would rate this book higher than a 5 stars if I could.
S.H brings us into the world of Alex and his two best mates Logan and Dante. This book is Alex's story told from his POV and how his 'incident' happened. (I still giggle at this when thinking of it)
This book is extremely humours and funny and had me laughing so hard that while reading in bed I woke my husband up. He wasn't amused when I told him about 'the incident', it must be a man thing haha
The characters are well developed and lovable and the story didn't lull at any point if anything I was annoyed when I had to put it down.
S.H.Timmins is an extremely talented author and I'm predicting that will be very successful am I eagerly waiting for the next book in the series, hopefully I won't be waiting too long.

Timmins' debut novel "Bent" is a modern fairytale and unquestionably an enjoyable read. There is a healthy dose of comedy and satire blended with light romance that will make you swoon, especially at the end. I laughed, I cringed, I worried, and I sighed. The writer has a unique style of immersing you into the story with the characters, and seeing everything from Alex's point of view was engaging and refreshing. There is a bit of telling versus showing, but overall, "Bent" is a fantastic debut with a compelling story. I look forward to reading more by this author, and can't wait to start its sequel, "Buffed". 4.5 stars from me. Brava.

Logan in love with Laney and their other friend Dante likes Logan's sister, Lissa. Sound confusing? Anyway, everyone else's problems took away from Alex and Shay's relationship. Suddenly their in love and I was like whoa, when did that happen? A little more time could've been spent building their relationship.

OMG, this is an amazing book!
Alex is so Hot! Shay is off limits but that does not stop Alex from wanting her.
Alex has a little accident involving his “Big Guy” down there, guy has shit luck if you think about it, wants a girl that is off limits and on top of that hurts himself, poor guy.
Shay is Logan’s cousin who is Alex’s best friend and Business parnter, talk about drama.
This is an incredible read, I truly love this book. Highly Recommend to read thus story, you will NOT be disappointed.

Hard to believe this is her first ever
Omg... I think I'm.in love !!!!! Excellent!!! Hilarious male point of view story of the trials and tribulations of falling in love. There are definitely laugh out loud moments, sweet declarations of the heart and conversations with penises. If you have enjoyed romantic comedies by Tara Sivec, Alice Clayton and Debra Anastasia then this new series is right for you! Can't wait for the Dante's story.

I thought this was a cute book!! Loved the sense of humor between Dante,Alex, and Logan. You can really see what being friends for so many years has done for them. I knew Kylie was going to be trouble! Loved the chemistry between Shayla and Alex. This book hilarious from the beginning to the end. So if your looking for a funny love story here it is.

Funny, hot and wonderfully written.
I loved the male POV. It was different and quite funny at times. The story had a great flow and real heart. I'm really looking forward to Dante's story. I love the strong female characters as well. Great debut and well worth the read.

Just the book I needed!!! S. H. Timmins did a fantastic job with her very first book. This quick read was light and had some pretty darn funny moments. Will definitely read more by this author.

2.5 stars This was a bit too cliche & forced. I read after all the reviews about how funny it was. I love a LOL book. This was not it. I must be missing something.

I loved this book! It was light and refreshing but not sticky sweet, the dry humour made it even better and had me laughing at inappropriate moments. A nice start to a trilogy which I am hoping the other two books are going to be about Dante and Logan.
