At least for Caleb it is, forced to walk the earth (or rather limp) carrying a deadly disease without the one person who makes him complete. Emily. His soul mate. Torn away from him as an unstoppable virus consumes the planet.
He ventures out a little further from home each day, until he’s caught up in a series of life-changing events that take him closer to finding his love than ever before.
Learn how the infected and ‘livings’ co-exist. Find out who is willing to help along the way, and most importantly, discover whether Caleb has risked his life to fulfil his last wishes.
‘100 Days’ is a dystopian zombie thriller that takes the form of a narrative poem. It is told from the point of view of Caleb, who quickly realises that the horrors of a virus-ridden world aren’t actually caused by the infected themselves.
Craig Evans is the author of the Secret Order Series, a collection of urban fantasy novels that explore a vast and - most importantly - secret supernatural network, hidden from those without abilities.
When Craig isn't writing, he can be found devouring comic books and novels, as well as filling his life with music and films.
He has been building worlds with words from a very early age, and lives in South Wales with his wife Teena and hyperactive cat Millie.
This was a very refreshing short story...refreshing with the death and rotting flesh!
A well written short story by this author. I enjoyed the evident love between the main characters. This is something that isn't really done very much in the zombie genre.
