If you collect books on fashion, this is a great addition. If you are a "woman of a certain age" interested in fashion, this book is for you. If you, like me, look for fashion role models who are feminist and comfortable with their age and in their skin, this book is for you.

Although I found the writing useful, yet again, women are confronted with fashion illustrations articulating the beauty of 2% of the female population. I would have appreciated illustrations that were sensitive to the content of the book. We need a broader concept of female beauty than those skinny, long legged illustrations we all know too well....and exclude so many.

The font was absurdly small and a lot of the book's "information" consisted of anecdotal interviews with women of a certain age giving their opinions and personal philosophies. If you're looking for a great book with valuable information about staying stylish forever, "Forever Chic" by Tish Jett is a better use of your time.

I love this book because there's so much ageism in fashion, and this is something that needs to be addressed often. I would have enjoyed more people of color featured. But I would definitely buy this book as a gift for someone else. It's completely enjoyable and has a few good tips.

Love Alyson Walsh. Cheerleader for women of a certain age who are still unique, beautiful, exciting, people who like to dress themselves for comfort and style. Fun read with a true Brit voice.

Style Forever should find a special place in every girl's library. Read it and learn about fashion and your own style, there're plenty of ideas that can make you feel good. Oh, and don't forget these Alyson's words - "hang on to yourself. Hang on to your style. You are never too old to rock and roll."

Definitely worth reading. Really interesting information not only on the history of fashion but also new insights in a movement I didn't know existed. I loved the new perspective on aging and women and the way style was defined in this book. On top of it all, the lists, tips and tricks from the insiders of the world of mode. Don't we all yearn for some?

A great read, if a little rough in the language area. Walsh puts it out there .. find your style, buy the best you can, and live your life. It's all about the big difference between fashion (as in what they show on the runway) and style (what you choose to wear).

I enjoy Alyson's blog and I like her cheeky attitude. There are some good tips here and some interesting interviews, but it was such a quick read and in places, light on content. However, I may change my rating if I return to this book again and again!

If like me you collect books on Fashion or study it in anyway, this is definitely something to add to your collection. The illustrations are adorable and good insights to history and ageless style icons such Iris Apfel

Enjoyed this, but I need more photo examples, so I was constantly googling the names she mentions.
