*** THE SERIES IS NOW COMPLETE ***The goddess gifted me five soul-bonded mates and a snarky familiar.
How lucky am I?
It turns out–not so much.
Betrayed by my storm mage and imprisoned by his psycho parents, my future looks bleak.
The old me would have waited for a handsome rescuer to show up, but the new me is spoiling for a fight.
Witch life is hard enough without having to deal with entitled red flag males in need of a serious attitude adjustment. It’s time I showed these idiots who’s in charge.
Kenji, my kitsune familiar, says I’m too stupid to live, but I’ll prove him wrong. Yes, the realm is about to discover I’m a powerful hybrid witch with kick-ass magic that can melt ugly demons and nasty old crones.
Tiberius Vane and his evil wife might think they have me under their thumb, but this witch isn’t going down without a fight.
Because if I die, my mates might die too.
And besides, I have a major bone to pick with the arrogant fae asshole who kidnapped my bestie.
--- Shadows Unbound is the final book in the Starfall Academy series, a why choose paranormal academy adventure featuring a cast of chaotic magicals. HAE guaranteed!
That ending was terrible. I’d like my last five days back. Only finished the series because I felt like I had to.
I kept waiting for this series to give me something—character growth, redemption, a reason these people supposedly loved each other—and instead I got hundreds of pages of the same toxic nonsense on repeat.
Kenji stayed awful. Alaric stayed awful. Zane stayed pushy. Kai was basically decorative furniture. And Raven? Somehow she went through an entire series and learned absolutely nothing because every time she asked a question, someone was there to insult her for not already knowing the answer.
The biggest problem is that we’re constantly told these are soul-bonded mates who would die for each other, yet they spend most of their time degrading, manipulating, dismissing, and steamrolling Raven. The pack never actually felt like a pack. The relationships never felt healthy. And by the end, nobody had earned forgiveness.
What really gets me is that the final book had every opportunity to fix things. Give us accountability. Give us growth. Give us groveling. Give us literally anything. Instead, the closest thing to character development was Alaric deciding communication might not be a crime.
Five days. FIVE DAYS. For that ending.
I cannot recommend this series, and if someone had spoiled the ending for me, I would’ve considered it a public service. 💀📚
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
We pick up right where we left off in the last book and things are looking very grim for Alaric and Raven.
The banter here is still spot on. While a lot of what goes on is heavy, the way it is written and how the characters act and interact with each other is so heartwarming and funny, it never feels overly dark or heavy. The character development and the relationships they have are perfectly done. The plot is solid enough, although at times in this book the pacing did feel a little slow.
Overall, this was a great time like the past three books. The different plot points were all wrapped up nicely, although some of it did feel a bit too easy? Except for the whole Glynda storyline. It looks like it is set up for her to have a spin off book or series.
I absolutely love all the MMCs and they stayed consistent throughout the series. They each bring something different to the table but they work well together and fight like hell to keep each other and Raven safe.
I love the writing style in these books and Raven was a fantastic FMC. Relatable, smart, capable, funny and kind. She was easy to root for and you genuinely want her and her mates who all have been through some seriously traumatizing events to find their happiness. I will say though, the whole demon dad part of the storyline was very anticlimactic and I don’t know what the whole point of that was but it wasn’t something that took away from the book.
Thank you to Book Sirens and to the author for this advanced reader copy of the book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

🌍 𝕎𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕 𝕓𝕦𝕚𝕝𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕘, 𝕨𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕡𝕒𝕔𝕚𝕟𝕘: Ok first of all I love this series! The characters and the banter are just brilliant, and the spice has been one of my favourites of all books! Which is why I was so disappointed in this book, I thought we were finally going to get the big spicy scene and we didn’t! I’ve waited four books for this and I didn’t get it! What’s worse is that it genuinely felt that’s the way the story was leading! On the topic of spicy moments- we didn’t get much of Alaric, we got no sword crossing which is fine but again- it was something I felt the book was leaning towards particularly with Zane and ras.
I enjoyed the plot and the way things flowed and I wish the author had more time to work on it because some parts felt really rushed. There were a couple of scenes that were missing the authors usual depth, layers and detail and a handful of moments felt underdeveloped as I was left feeling confused or with many questions- which is new for me to see with this author.
The world building is well done, each moment of time is clear and suited to the story. The traveling time, the houses, the kidnapping areas… the whole world was well executed and tied together with ease and precision.
I would have liked to know more about the experiments, the history that holds and captives that were there. I would have been very interested in knowing more about Alarics step mum and the power she held, including whether or not she had any magical hold on anyone and why she chose his dad to be her husband/target. I wanted more background on the arrests made too, particularly any and all teachers as I love the karma and justice side of dark plots.
I know there’s a few negatives in my review but that’s because I really enjoyed this ride and just wanted and expected the final book to have ‘more’.
🧝♂️ ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕤: The story of the alarics dad was well executed, he was an exceptional villain- but this made his ending rather disappointing… I expected so much more I thought her dad would have had eternal time to re educate him or that there would be some slow justice happening with some fight and resistance. I was also left befuddled when Raven came into her powers- for an all powerful, arrogant man he didn’t seem to have much in place in the way of containment and continuances.
I loved meeting Olaf and was very much excited about his treasure! I hope we get more on that in the spin off books!
I wish there was more of Glynda in this one as she is a great side character, but that just means there is another side book I’m looking forward to reading!
Meeting evens dad was fun! Not the way I expected that to go, again, I wish we had more plot with that side of her family, I was thinking we were going to get a nice little sub plot going but sadly not.
I appreciated getting to meet Mavs cousin again, I loved that side of his family so to get a cameo in this book was lovely.
😥 𝕎𝕙𝕪 𝕟𝕠 𝕗𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕤? I just wanted more, the author is a damn good writer, I love her characters, I love the spicy scenes and I loved the way the book was leaning… so I was left disappointed.
⏳ 𝕎𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕚 𝕣𝕖-𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕕 𝕠𝕣 𝕣𝕖𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕕? Yes I would recommend but no I wouldn’t re read this series
🪧𝔽𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕝 𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥𝕤: I really enjoyed this authors writing style, her spicy scenes and especially her characters, I wish there was another 80-100 pages in this book to fully explore more of the sub plots and side characters and a good 20 pages more spice! But the series in general is well worth reading as we wait for the side characters books to arrive!
⭐️⭐️ I managed to finish it but it was rubbish. I won't keep a physical copy and won't recommend it, but it's a shame as the plot could have made a good book in another author's hands
⭐️⭐️.5 It was OK. I wish I didn't start this one as it didn't do it for me as I struggled to read it. It had an interesting premise that fell flat but I had to see what happened in the end.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ I don't regret reading it, and I will read the next one, but this one did have a few flaws. [These could be repetitive writing, gaps or plot holes, better character growth or world building, areas needing more detail] Generally, the book lacked depth and became confusing. The plot resonated with me even though it annoyed me on the whole.
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 I'm glad I read it. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to the right people, but I wanted more! Sadly, it's easily forgettable with a few issues I just couldn't overlook/get past.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good book! I loved it, but... I needed more! I really did enjoy it, but it had a few parts that needed more detail or added history/background or lore. But that's because the story or characters were memorable, and the plot was strong with brilliant twists. I would re-read if I needed to catch up for the next book and would recommend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Great book! I truly wish the story had been thought about more, or the author had been given more time as this book is so close to brilliance! I will likely read again and will definitely be recommending it to all!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WOW! Absolutely amazing book! Well written with great characters and a plot so memorable that it will stay with me. I will definitely read this again, I will be recommending it and sharing it with the whole world! Also- I NEED A PHYSICAL COPY!
🔥⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥 This is my God level tier. The book must be perfectly memorable. Even after reading 50+ more books, I will remember character names and emotions along with the plot. If there is a special edition, then I need to own it! If there is a conversation on books- I'm talking about this!

SYNOPSIS (of 4 Book Series): This is set in a world where humans and supernaturals all exist together. The FC, Raven, is half witch and half demon. Her mother died when she was young, she never new her father and she is brought up by her mother‘s soul mate in an isolated coven. The story opens with Raven‘s magic getting out of hand and her being sent to Starfall Academy for supernaturals where she must learn how to handle her magic. There she meets her 5 soul mates amidst a backdrop of mage Supremists trying to take power over other supernaturals, a world where all vampires have apparently been killed and shifters are in danger of a feral disease killing them off. It quickly transpires that Raven is very powerful and the leader of the Mage Counsel, father of one of her mates, wants to take her powers from her. The story moves through Raven mating with her soul mates whilst trying to avoid being taken prisoner and killed for her power with a HEA.
HEAT LEVEL 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆🍆🍆 Whilst not completely taking over the story there is a lot of heat from the get go. Group and one on one scenes but no MM, kink or dom elements. The FC spends a fair amount of time objectifying her mates and goes quickly from never having kissed a guy to group scenes 😳
In summary, whilst not original, this story had may positives and there was some great snark and humour. Unfortunately I felt it was let down by an immaturity in some of the writing and the interactions between the characters and the story lacked a solid arc. Having said that, it was still a fun read.
The FC is not so much a kick ass heroine as an accident prone, slightly clueless FC. It‘s fun but I would have like a bit more strength and action from her. The MCs are all individual and there is a decent amount of character development although not much background depth. There‘s the stereotypical caring, alpha Bear shifter, the crazy, sex obsessed Incubus, the grumpy, superior mage, the much older Vampire and the weaker, sympathetic merman. The individual characters relationships are described in broad brush and, as the FC/MC relationships are all mate bonds they are fairly much insta-lust so not much relationship development or romance involved. There‘s a slim cast of secondary characters with the obligatory best friend that add a bit of depth but again, they are very basic and don‘t play material parts in the series. They are brought in for certain scenes and then just seem to disappear. That is, save for Kenji, the FC’s familiar who is a fun, snarky character. Having said that, the characters are generally likeable if a bit irritating at times (Zane??).
The story is enjoyable but could be much better. There are elements of trafficking of and experiments on supernaturals and abuse of power. What is frustrating is that it seems that everyone knew or had a good idea that the Head of the Mage Counsel had been party to all this and yet no one seemed to bother to do anything about it, to rescue the trafficked supernaturals or to curb the mage‘s behaviour. It left a bad taste. Nothing really happens until the FC is kidnapped and then, taking down the trafficking ring and labs seems to be a fortunate happenstance more than anything. There are definitely gaps in the story arc where the reader just has to suspend disbelief such as how the Mage gets away with everything he does (and has done) yet he FC/MCs are all suddenly enemy number one with little to no evidence. The ending also needs work. One of my pet hates with this type of series is where the author drags out a story and makes the villain so reprehensible and yet when „justice“ comes it is either too quick or unsatisfactory. That was the case here. The climax came quickly and was over and done with in a blink. Then, for some odd reason, there are 3-4 more chapters that just seem to ramble a bit before just ending. It was a bit odd. Then there was the FC‘s biological father that suddenly pops up. What was the point? Why was the FC not more upset about her father‘s past actions and their impact on the current situation? It was all a bit odd to be honest and I was unclear what the author‘s purpose was in bringing in this character at the last minute.
Overall this is an enjoyable romp if you suspend disbelief and just let the story run.
Shadows Unbound is the perfect, high-stakes conclusion to the Starfall Academy series. As the final installment in Raven’s journey, Lyra Mishon (AKA Ava Summers) delivers everything fans of the series have been waiting for: intense magic, sizzling chemistry, and a "happily ever after" that feels truly earned.
Picking up from the chaotic events of the previous books, Raven finally steps into her full power. Watching her navigate the complex bonds with her mates—Alaric, Zane, Maverick, and Kai—has been the highlight of this series, and seeing those relationships solidify into a permanent union was incredibly satisfying. The "why choose" dynamic is handled with the perfect blend of steam and emotional depth, ensuring that each of her protectors brings something unique to the table.
One of the best parts of this finale was the expanded role of Glynda. As Raven’s best friend, Glynda has been a pillar of support throughout the series. I was thrilled to see the groundwork being laid for her own story. For those of us who have been shipping her with the Fae Prince since their first interaction, the confirmation of an upcoming side story featuring them is a dream come true! Their tension is electric, and I can't wait to see Glynda get her own spotlight in that world.
The world-building continues to impress, successfully tying up the various political and magical threads involving the Mage Council and the looming threats to the gang. It’s a bittersweet goodbye to Raven and her men, but the HEA ending is the beautiful, definitive wrap-up this series deserved.Ravens father popping in and being Mr Dapper Don, instead of Horne's and Brimstone was a welcome treat.
If you love paranormal academy romances with possessive mates, fated bonds, and a heroine who finally finds her place in the world, Shadows Unbound is a must-read.

While reading this book, I was unable to come to terms with how the “pack mates” treat each other, and Kenji has been a character, I have very much disliked through the whole series. He is truly a horrible character and I hated how he talked to and treated Raven. Alaric is another character that was reprehensible through this entire series. He never redeemed himself even at the end. The bickering and fighting between the mates was very annoying and never resolved to make them a true pack.
The amount of sex that was pushed on Raven through out the series, while protesting and being called stupid and too dumb to live, is not how I see familiars and soul bonded mates treat their female. Honestly, it sets a dangerous precedent that females should take this kind of crap.
It was a main theme that losing a soul bond mate would kill the other mate, but the main villain tortured his soul mate. Alaric and Kenji were despicable and heartless to Raven. Zane was selfish and pushy so there wasn’t much relationship growth for the other mates with Raven. I don’t even know what the point of Kai’s character was bc he was basically invisible in that group and wasn’t comfortable at all.
Raven didn’t have any growth either, she stayed clueless to how the world really worked and if she asked questions they would just degrade her and make her feel like she was no good, and the problem in their relationship and troubles.
I had really hoped that this book would redeem the mates and Kenji and there would be at least some character growth. The biggest growth moment for Alaric is that he finally decided it was ok to share.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this series.
Shadows Unbound (Starfall Academy #4) by Lyra Mishon is everything I’ve come to adore about this series—and then some! From the first page, I was pulled back into the halls of Starfall Academy, where magic, mystery, and forbidden romance collide in the most addictive way.
Lyra Mishon continues to balance action, intrigue, and swoony romance with such finesse. The academy itself feels alive, full of secrets, shifting alliances, and whispers in every shadowed corner. As someone who’s followed this series, I loved seeing familiar characters grow, new faces shake things up, and the stakes escalate in ways that made me gasp, cheer, and occasionally clutch the book with sheer excitement.
The romance in this installment is chef’s kiss. The tension is delicious, the chemistry is sizzling, and yet the emotional depth ensures that the connections feel real and heartfelt. Mishon knows how to make you care deeply for every relationship, whether it’s a budding romance, friendship, or the sometimes-tense bonds between rivals.
What makes this book—and the series as a whole—so addictive is the seamless blend of paranormal elements, academy intrigue, and personal growth. The characters are forced to confront not only external threats but also their own fears, loyalties, and desires, making their journeys feel compelling and meaningful.
As an ARC reader, I felt like I was getting an early peek into a world that’s fun, intense, and deeply immersive. Shadows Unbound is perfect for anyone who loves paranormal academy romances with high stakes, heart-pounding drama, and swoony moments that linger long after the final page.
I'd give this book a 4.5⭐ rating. I have really enjoyed getting to know Raven and her mates. I'm so glad Kai and now Alaric got books more specific to them because they are so much quieter than the other mates. Kai is so quiet and rarely interacts with the group. He often got lost and I wanted more from him. I do really like him feral though.
Now to Alaric who has been this Ahole character but we get to see more of him and his family in this one. He truly was trying to keep Raven and even her mates safe by not doing what his father wanted. Unfortunately when his father forces him with dark magic things get both more and less complicated.
I will say that Zane and Kenji were a bit too much in this one. I get that Zane is an incubus with zero boundaries but he needed to pull back during some of the more serious situations. Kenji was a snarky ahole the while time but he took that in a demeaning way that was over the top and not cute any more in some situations. Thankfully he was always there when he was needed or I would have had more issues with him in this book.
I did not like how this book ended with the "pack" still not feeling settled. There was too much bullying within the harem and it was still the vampire and incubus show with a side of carebear. I did enjoy the bath time with the quieter mates though and really wanted more of that.
This story also sets up for more stories in this world which I'm excited to read. I do hope we see more of Raven and her men as they settle in. I'd value like to see Raven get control of all her magic.
Oh, the madness Lyra Mishon tolls upon her followers . . . still, here I am, back again, like a sadist, ready to punish myself for crimes I have yet to commit—if ever. Begging for the lashings to my very soul I was sure to receive once I began to read. And now, my hands shake, as my maid applies poultice to the weeping wounds.
Wait . . .
I don’t have a maid . . .
Which means Zane, Maverick, Rasmus, and Kai must be able to find Raven and Alaric! But that also means they have to face them plus other powerful mages in an epic battle, plus Raven’s birth father is still trying to get his hands on her, plus she and Alaric still have to seal their bond, plus, Plus, PLUS!
Man, this is oh. so. good. *** Recommended ***
P.S. Viva La Kenji!!! Still totally unhinged. Snarky. Brilliant. * “Not sure you can blame external events for your poor cognitive function,” Kenji helpfully pointed out. “Even the pig has a higher IQ. And given it’s currently eating a stick, I don’t hold out much hope for you.”

I have loved this series from the very start. It has tickled me no end with the antics between Raven and her mates. Raven has just wanted a normal life, one without stress, one with happiness, but alas, that is so far removed from what she got. Between getting magically arrested, ending up at the Academy, only to bond with not just one but five different people, it's been one wild ride, one where, at times, she held on for dear life!
I have to say my favourites have been Zane and Kenji, her familiar. I loved Kenji's sarkiness; that's definitely up my street. Then we have Zane and his total disregard for boundaries, making me chuckle. Kai is the sweetheart of the group, but he has a darker feral side that comes to the fore now and then. We can't forget Maverick, her Care-bear, and his need to look after his mate, but he'll hulk out on you if you upset a hair on her head. Rasmus will give his Queen anything, and can give Zane a run for his money when it comes to his mate. Then we have Alaric, the one who fought the bond the most but loves her just as deeply. He wanted to keep her from his father's clutches, and would do anything in his power to make that happen. Oh, and we can't forget her father, the Demon King. He may have just entered her life, but he is carving a place in it.
I'm definitely looking forward to what else can happen at the Academy in the future.

❤️ World Building: This is the fourth and final book in this series, so much of the world building is already in place, but it still draws you into the story. I was fully drawn into the story and loved every second of it.
❤️ The Characters: This series has some of the best why choose characters! I love how all the harem mates are different and each brings something unique to the relationship. I love how they interact between themselves, and how jealousy plays a part in the relationships, though not a huge part, it's realistic. Zane is still my favorite though! Raven is an amazing MFC too. She is strong and devoted to all five of her men!
❤️ The Story: This story continues from the last book and is still full of nailbiting tension, sexy scenes, reluctant heroism, and the love (and sometimes hate) relationship between all six main characters. It’s a deeper story than you would think, while still somehow being fun and light hearted at the same time!
❤️🔥Overall: This is just a FANTASTIC series and it should be on everyone’s TBR!
Kitsune “fact” Inspired by Kenji: Kitsune are extremely intelligent and powerful shape-shifters. They frequently harass humans by transforming into giants or other fearsome monsters. Sometimes they do this just for pranks, and sometimes for more nefarious purposes. (yokai.com/kitsune)
I've been reading this series from the beginning and there has been tremendous growth between the story and characters as the series went on. Now why isn't it 5 stars? For many reasons. One of them being Raven. While she has had growth there are times where she comes off as stupid and naive which from the first book was a big issue as she would be smart then make dumb choices and in this book she was dumb but was also really smart and wanted to make empowered choices that fell flat. The I'm going to save myself but then immediately say she can't because she needs her male mates to save her instead. I loved Kenji throughout the series and this book he was DEFINITELY the comedic break when needed. The ending however wasn't great I expected more from the author as this book is labeled the last one in the series and instead it felt rushed and cliffhanger but doubt there is any chance for more as the author had an original perfect ending before the last 5 chapters. I was also very annoyed with the time jumps and back especially when an event just happened and then the next chapter said "some time before" like why was this necessary?
Again Lyra has smashed it with the fourth and final (maybe final) book in The Starfall Academy Series.
As alway i loved it.
Fast paced and easy to read, filled with lots of action.
Raven and her harem, Maverick, Zane, Kai, Rasmus and Alaric. Unbreakable no matter what gets thrown at them.
This book was filled with lots of sarcasm, tension deceit and 'major daddy issues'.
It had me gasping, laughing, crying and heartwarmingly happy.
Kenji our lovable kitsune familiar was on the mark with his sarcasm and witty banter (especially towards Fig The Pig). But when it came to it he was there at Ravens side helping her through it all.
I hope this isnt really the end for The Starfall Academy as i feel there is more stories to tell…
Maybe some novellas, the demon realm, Glyndas story and maybe some kitsune tales (pun intended)
Thank You Lyra Mishon for allowing me to be a part of this truely amazing Why Choose Supernatural Series.

*Reverse Harem *Paranormal *Multi-1st-PoV *Academy Setting *Unusual FMC *Elitist Society *Fated Mates *Building Harem (5) *Mid Burn *Book 4/4 Solid ending 3.5⭐️ This finale book picks up immediately after the previous cliffhanger and I like that we see the other guys reactions to what went down … with the potential to cause some serious issues for this unit 😖 There’s a heck of a lot for this harem to contend with including parental control, not knowing who to trust, as well as difficulties getting along 🫤 it was clever making the reader question who Raven could actually trust but in the end family is family - even with new members 😅😅 Raven really comes into her own and her powers especially when one of hers is threatened - we finally get to see that power she’s had locked away 👑 I did struggle with the fact that even in the last chapter some of her men still weren’t getting along or not with sharing her - with what they’ve gone through they should at least have the fundamentals together but at least when it counts they have it together to help their girl save them all 🥰
This series delivered a satisfying conclusion that truly resonated. The heroine’s journey to embracing her powers and finding her happily ever after was well worth the wait, showing growth and determination that felt genuine. The plot effectively answered many lingering questions, providing clarity while keeping the story engaging.
What stood out was the balance between plot development and the spicy moments sprinkled throughout, which added excitement without overwhelming the narrative. It made the reading experience enjoyable and kept the momentum going until the very end.
Overall, this series is a strong pick for readers who appreciate a well-rounded story with character depth and a fulfilling resolution. It’s a rewarding finish that leaves you satisfied and glad you followed along.
Shadows Unbound starts with Raven and Alaric in a not so great situation. The rescue team gets together and we find out more about what Alaric's dear old dad does in his spare time.
This is the final book of the Starfall Academy series and it did not disappoint. This book is more off campus grounds and it has more shenanigans, spice, amd twists than ever!
This book gives us more insight into Raven's past and is more Alaric centered, but we still have Maverick, Zane, Rasmus, and my personal favorite, sweet Kai. We are introduced to so many new and interesting characters that I'm excited to see where we go next in this really interesting world.
Highly recommend for a fun, easy, and SPICY read!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶🌶.5
Thank you so much to Lyra Mishon for the amazing opportunity to ARC read this series! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
The plot was wrapped up nicely and the story is well written. I don't feel like anything plot wise was missed. However, the spice was quick and disappointing throughout the book. Raven doesn't get to be with all her mates at once. I know that's not a big deal for everyone but for the readers who anticipate these scenes it doesn't happen at least not in a descriptive way. I'll concede at the end there is an implication it happens but its very nondescript. Also the stories hints that Zane and Rumas will have some M/M action. That also doesn't happen. Overall good story. I would recommend the book series and the Lyra is a talented writer, but this goes back to that old saying "if you put a gun in the room it has to go off" the gun doesn't go off so that was disappointing.
Picking up right where we left off, starting with a bang, Alaric and and Raven find themselves in a bind and a rescue team comes to aid them. Where we find Alarics lovely father… Loved getting to see ravens past and it was more centered around Alaric but I love how we still get to see Kai, Maverick, Zane and Rasmaus. The banter was perfect. It never felt too intense or heavy and had some funny moments in there too! Loved the characters and the character development and the relationships. Such a great read, I loved getting lost into this world again! Such a great series that I got addicted to! I can’t wait to see where we get to go next! I’m looking forward to more from this author!
I am very sad this is the end of Raven’s story! I have loved this entire series and am very happy there will be more stories from the Starfall Universe. Not only have I laughed out loud while reading this, but I’ve also cried, yelled, cheered, booed and felt all kinds of emotions. I have to admit, I loved finally meeting Raven’s dad and the gift he gave her for her birthday. Who wouldn’t want a hellhound? Watching as these very different people and we can’t forget Kenji, came together to join a pack as Maverick calls it, was amazing, right down the bickering and arguing they do. I cannot recommend this series highly enough!
I received a free advanced reader’s copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A gripping finale drenched in chaos, and deliciously wicked chemistry.
Picking up right where the last book ended, novel 4s paranormal romantasy delivers relentless tension and a tangled web of love, rivalry, and obsession between Raven (FMC) and its six (MMCS). Each bringing a distinct vibe, making their jealousy fueled banter and explosive chemistry impossible not to devour. With immersive world building, savage enemies, and action packed twists that never let up, Raven is force to be reckoned with.
“The minute I escaped this hellhole, I’d update my socials #badassbitchwitch.”
She attracted the good, the bad and the ugly, as the finale balanced emotional depth with pure, addictive fun. This series is a must read, definitely deserving a spot on ones TBR.
I am having fun reading this series. Each of Raven's mates are unique but all of them including Alaric want to protect her. We finally get to met dad. I loved his birthday gift to her.
The story starts where the previous one ended at the club. POV of each. Steam to the romance. Loved the twists and secrets revealed. Loved Zane's antics and the humor it brings to the story.
Even though the problems with Alaric's father are resolved there seems to be the deal with Farris to deal with. I can't wait to see how they wirk that one out.

A lot happened in Shadows Unbound, but I was bored for most of it. The plot keeps moving, yet the romance felt almost nonexistent, and the harem still isn't growing on me. Instead of meaningful relationship development, most of the mates remained frustratingly unlikeable.
The FMC's growing power and refusal to be rescued were the highlights, but they weren't enough to make up for the lack of emotional connection and romantic payoff.
If you're here for fantasy action, you may enjoy it. If you're here for the why choose romance, this one missed the mark for me.
A great conclusion to the series! So many ups and downs and excitement and action fighting against those in power using dark magic. Loved watching Raven grow into her full power while dodging danger around every corner. Her soul bonded mates continued there bickering but each showed so much love for her in their own individual ways! Kenji her Kitsune Familiar was hilarious as always but also fierce with his loyalty. This was such an enjoyable fun series I am sad to see it end. But word is there will be more to come from other characters in the future so that is an exciting thing to look forward to!
Ooooooweeeee, this has been quite the adventure! This is the last book in the series, and its bittersweet that its over, but I had the best time with these characters and their story. This truly was such a satisfying ending.
I'm so glad the book picks up where we left off and never had a dull moment. I couldn't get enough as I eagerly devoured the pages full of action from beginning to end. I laughed, swooned, and melted.
It's difficult to find a series that continues to capture my attention and keep me invested as this series succeeded in doing so. I loved it so much.
If you feel like a predictable kinda academy paranormal rh, this is the series for you. There’s nothing truly awful about it and nothing that lifts it up to great.
Some of it feels like blatant copies of other people’s ideas. The incubus was a poor man’s Sin Wilder, the snarky familiar had Jasmine Mas vibes (but came across as mean rather than funny), even the pig could arguably be an imitation of Hannah Haze.
That said, overall I enjoyed it enough to keep reading and I’ll try another by her. I think maybe she’ll get better.

i forced myself to finish this series, this is not a found family series more like a forced family who all hate each other and are forced to be together.
5 Star - Couldn't put this book down. Its stay up late reading and be late to work good. 4 Stars - Couldn't put this book down but I still got a goodnights sleep 3 Stars - An enjoyable read that took me a few days to a week to finish 2 Stars - An okay book that I struggled to get through in places - next book is still on my TBR list 1 Stars - DNF
For a series with a pretty strong start it sure did fall flat at the end. But it wasn't terrible!!
All the characters were sweet in very very...very unique ways. It made falling for them pretty easy. Even Keji had small endearing qualities!
It did blow my mind how she still hadn't learned how to actually do/use magic in this book. All this time, all these power upgrades, and still technically nothing. Crazy work.
And I like the addition of her Dad too. He was funny and not what I expected.
Such a great ending to Raven's story. I absolutely loved this series!I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. There were so many twists and turns and unexpected events that made it impossible to put it down. Having never read a why choose paranormal Academy adventure series before, this has definitely become one of my new favorite genres. I love a good HEA and I am looking forward to spinoffs for some of the side characters.
