No Gentleman for Georgina is a novella from The Notorious Flynns series by Jess Michaels. I haven't read any of the books from the series previous to this one, therefore I can say that this novella can easily be read as a stand alone story.
The story is about Paul Abbot and Georgina Hickson. Paul is a man of no title, little fortune, and works as a manager at his brother-in-law's club. In essence he is a 'nobody' and although he has loved Georgina from afar, he knows she can never be his because he is in a class way below hers.
Georgina has an overbearing father, one that insists she marries a gentleman worthy of her and after 4 seasons of her not being offered for by a titled, worthy suitor he begins to despair that she will never make a match. She doesn't want to wed a man she doesn't love, but knows that her father would never agree to her marrying the man she does love.....Paul Abbot.
This story is a delightful one, it's short, but you still feel like you have read an enjoyable story with passion, intrigue, fun, sadness, and a lot of love. Being a short story is also good for those times when you want to read something but don't want to get into a long drawn out novel.
I know to write a good review you should also mention any negative feelings you have, but it just isn't possible to find any for this book. Everything from start to finish made sense, the characters, their relationships, everything!
I definitely recommend this, especially if you like a quick story with lots of emotion, fun and some passionate, yet beautifully written love making scenes, and of course, a happy ending.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
