It was a quick read that was just okay. More like a 2.5

Paul and Georgina both have been admiring and crushing on each other from afar for a while. Due to Paul being just a "commoner" and Georgina's Father looking for a husband with a title, both secretly knew nothing could ever progress to acquaintances/friends.

Unfortunately because of it being such a short read there really was no way to develop the characters or have a great story.

Georgina Hickson and Paul Abbot.. 😍😍

Once again Jess Michaels takes us into sensual delight wither her Notorious Flynns Series. What Ms. Michaels does best is decadance.. Erotic fantasy with a regency twist. Or Regency Romance with an erotic twist.. either way it's wonderful. It helps that her stories are well written and her characters fun.

No Gentleman for Georgina continues the Notorious Flynns Series as it's the 3.5 book in the series. A sweet novella that tells it's tale perfectly. Which is a talent in and of itself. The story has to be told without rushing things along or packing too much information in it. Fortunately for us all, Ms. Michaels knows what she's doing.

Georgina Hickson, friends with Annabelle Flynn (The Scoundrel's Lover), has done the proper for a few seasons but she's bored and wants more than a society marriage. She wants what Annabelle has, a love match, and she has the man she wants it with all picked out. Only no way is her father going to go for this misalliance.

Paul Abbot has risen from nothing to a self made man. The secretary for bad boy Marcus Rivers(The Scoundrel's Lover) , he has been accepted into the Flynn's circle. Invited to parties and balls and all sorts of family gatherings. Rather confused by all of this but enjoying the family and friends. That is until lightening struck him in the form of Georgina Hickson, the woman he considers just about perfect and WAY above him socially. But when Georgina starts making things happen, no way can Marcus refuse.

Like I said, a well written novella bring classes together more than a Romeo and Juliet story because these aren't star crossed lovers, these are two individuals willing to cross societal lines and live with the consequences. To face the wrath of family and friends.. It takes time for them to get there and that is really the story. Finding love and holding on tight.

Made me smile, made me swoon.

ok, so seriously, LISTEN TO ME, nothing beats a Flynn Family story! #TRUTH

There's nothing like reading a novel by Jess Michaels. She is absolute perfection when it comes to historical/regency romances with a twist a bit of risqué to them :) MY FAVE!

This is the story of Paul and Georgina, secretly passionate for one another for quite sometime. Neither is actually a 'Flynn", but they are both very good friends of Annabelle and Marcus from The Scoundrel's Lover, which is where we were first introduced to them. This is a very short story, but if you've read the series as I have, it's perfect. It doesn't need a lot of development because I already know they're in love! :) THEY just don't know it! But they discover it and it turns both their worlds on its axis. You see, Georgina has spent the last four seasons trying to find the right man to marry that will meet her parent's expectations. Those being title, money and position in society. Paul doesn't meet her parent's qualifications and therefor does not pursue her for over two years even tho the first time he laid eyes on her, he was instantly in love! When the opportunity arises for them to spend time together away from society and all its pressures, they jump on it! And the rest, as they say, is history! Sexy, sensual, and fun history! LOL

This was a wonderful addition to The Notorious Flynns series as these two beautiful people were secondary characters in previous novels that needed a HEA! LOVED IT !!

Some of the advantages of being friends with a duke as well as being the manager of his elite gentleman's club, is being invited to his parties where the ton gather. Paul Abbott also enjoyed the ability to be able to catch glimpses of the woman he has had feelings for going on two years.

Georgina Hickson is very much the proper miss. Leaving her life plans to her father is a trial she can no longer endure. For some time she has garnered hidden emotions for Mr. Abbott and the time has come for those emotions to come to light. Georgina's attraction to Paul is a revelation for the man who feels she is too above him for a relationship to work. Leave it to a woman whose passion has been sparked to fight for what she ultimately wants, especially when the thought of an arranged marriage hangs over her head.

No Gentleman for Georgina by the indomitable Jess Michaels is a wonderful continuation in the Notorious Flynns saga. This novella is teeming with passion, desire and fulfilment. Paul Abbott has always been a distinctive character in the previous tales and this tale and finally he gets his day in the sun. Georgina is superb. Once the lady knows her mind, there is no stopping her. Every word Ms. Michaels puts to the page is a joy to read. No Gentleman for Georgina may be a novella but it is a memorable one that will capture your attention and make you believe in love.

This is a quick, heated historical read about a young woman being pressured to marry the right man and a man with no title and no fortune who also happens to love her. It’s short, sweet and has sexy moments, but there really isn’t much more to it than that.

Both characters have appeared briefly in the rest of the series and to be honest I didn’t really learn much more about them in this book. Paul is quiet and honourable, Georgina feels trapped by the rules imposed on her and does her best to flout them where she can – which contradicts her previous behaviour, where she’s been much more prim and proper.

If you’re looking for a quick read with some Regency flair – including a fun historical outing to see Madame Tussaud's waxworks – and like a bit of sensual heat, then this will likely fit the bill. Certain things were resolved a little too easily for my liking, but that might have been thanks to the short length. Overall it’s a nice read that unites a couple of minor characters from the series.

(Opportunity to read for an honest review from publisher)

No Gentleman for Georgina by Jess Michaels was a fun and quick read. I enjoyed the interaction between Georgina and Paul. Though my favorite part of the book was the conversation with Georgina, and Annabelle/Marcus (from The Scoundrel's Lover - Book 2 of the Notorious Flynns), very funny.

Going back to Georgina and Paul, they have both been loving each other from afar for the last couple years since they met through Annabelle and Marcus. Since it was a quick read, we delve right in heart of the matter: both wanting the other but not being able to follow their heart because Georgina is being expected to marry well and Paul feels he is unworthy.

Luckily, through a need to see Madame Tussaud's traveling wax exhibit and a rebellious debutante, this couple has a chance.

No Gentleman for Georgina is a good book and a quick romp for anyone wanting a little bit of romance to brighten their day. I only wish it were longer.

I have been a fan of The Notorious Flynn's series and had high hopes for this novella. I rarely purchase novellas due to the fact that they just don't have enough pages to really develop the story and characters enough. Well, this proved true here. The novella seemed rushed and the characters uninspiring. There are some passionate and steamy moments as you would expect from Jess Michaels but there is not enough depth to this tale. It's a pleasant read that does not evoke much emotion and things tie up at the end without much complication. I prefer Jess Michaels more lengthy novels where the characters have more personality and the plot is fully developed.

A forbidden love. A scandalous plan. A tantalizing read. I received No Gentleman for Georgina by Jess Michaels for an honest review. This story is a quick, entertaining read. Georgina is a definite go getter. When she sets her mind on something nothing will keep her from it. Paul tries to do the right thing even if it ends up hurting him in the end. An enjoyable story that will leave you wanting more.

Oi, gente!

I have loved Paul Abbott from afar ever since first meeting him in The Scoundrel’s Lover, truly he is a wonderful character. He deserves his moment in the spotlight. And in this sweet novella, Paul will find his lady.

Georgina Hickson has followed her father’s dictates for the past four Seasons. She is to find and marry a titled gentleman is his demand, and for years Georgina has followed the rules of engagement required by the Ton. But Georgina has seen what a true love match is like. The obvious love and affection, the truly shared life, the passion – she wants what her best friend Annabelle and her husband, Marcus have – a love to last and worth any risk.

She knows that life could be possible, if only Paul Abbott returned her affection. It doesn’t matter to Georginia that Paul is not titled, she loves him. Now she simply has to find the way to convince him that he loves her too.

Paul Abbott has loved Georginia for almost two years now. He has watched her attend balls and such from afar, his heart breaking a bit more each time he sees her in the company of another eligible, titled bachelor. Paul is a commoner, a working man – while he does have entrance to the homes of members of high society through Annabelle and Marcus, he knows that he can never ask for the hand of the woman he loves. She is too far above him on the social scale to ever think about him.

Yet fate (and a few good friends) has a way of making the impossible – very possible indeed. When Paul makes a way to take Georgina to an exhibit that she wants to see – anything is possible. Georgina is a determined lady. She knows that the feelings she has for Paul are returned… now she will do anything and everything to ensure that they get what they deserve – each other.

I highly recommend No Gentleman for Georgina to anyone who enjoys Historical Romance or fights for the underdog. It is truly a lovely story of love finding a way no matter what.

Sweet and Sexy Novella

"You must know that I have -- I have feelings for you."

THE STORY: Georgina Hickson has a father who has expectations for her marriage. After four seasons, he is losing patience with her and wants her married off to a titled gentleman. Georgina, however, has begun to realize that she has feelings for Paul Abbot who is definitely NOT what her father has planned for her. Paul Abbot is the manager of a notorious sex and gaming hell (owned by Marcus Rivers from book 2 of the series). Paul wants Georgina, but he knows that he is not worthy of her. When he agrees to help Georgina attend an exhibit forbidden by her father, the two begin to realize what they both want.

OPINION: This book is sweeter than the others in the series with less drama and angst and that works well with these characters. Georgina is more likeable here than I thought from the first book. Her desperation to marry well is understandable once her family pressure is revealed. I did like that this book gives a different view of her father as well. I especially liked Paul in this book. He is definitely an honorable man. The romance between these two is sweet but has some definite sexy moments. Because of the length of this novella, it is nice that the conflict between these two is really about the disapproval of Georgina's family more than a conflict between the characters.

WORTH MENTIONING: I especially liked seeing the heroes and heroines from the first two books in the series. It is nice seeing them again.

FINAL DECISION: I loved this story as part of the series. I don't know that it would have been interesting without revisiting characters from the other novels. As part of the series, however, it was sweet and sexy.

CONNECTED BOOKS: NO GENTLEMAN FOR GEORGINA is the fourth book in the Notorious Flynns Series. This novella can be read as a standalone although it does assume some familiarity with the characters. The main characters were only secondary characters in the first two novels. The main characters from the first two novels are secondary characters here.

STAR RATING: I give this novella 4.25 stars.

NOTE: I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in order to provide an honest review of the book. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions expressed are my own.

The trouble with novellas is there isn't a lot of time for character development. However, they are a perfect device for tying up loose ends in a book series, such as The Notorious Flynns by Jess Michaels. If you are invested in the first three novels in the series, you'll already be familiar with Paul Abbott, the able assistant to Marcus Rivers owner of the Donneville Masquerage, a sex and gambling den. You'll also know all about the romance between Annabelle and Marcus and the role Abbott played in helping them overcome the main hurdle keeping the two lovers apart. Now that the three Flynn's have all found the perfect mates, here's poor Paul left loveless and alone. Flynn fans will not be surprised that Abbott has secretly been in love with Georgina Hickson, Anabelle's friend and mentor from her one and only London season. Four years later and Georgina still hasn't found the right person. She hasn't even had a proposal. Her once loving, but overly protective parents, now seem so disapproving, especially of Paul Abbott, a man whose company she actually enjoys. With a little help along the way, a new romantic tale, No Gentleman For Georgina, unfolds.

Such a simple Regency Romance can be told in under a hundred pages, a perfect way to spend a wistful afternoon. It is easy to root for the lovers, who yearn to be together, but know they can never marry due to their discrepant social standings. This story shows a different aspect to the character of the staid Paul (Marcus is disbelieving when Georgina shares their secret love tryst) and an unexpected depth to Georgina who was so strait laced and proper in the previous novel. Who knew she had a steamy side under all that innocence? Mabe a little bit of a stretch, but still a lot of fun.

Even with this short of a story, Michaels needs to be reminded to trust in the reader and try to refrain from having the characters repeat the same thoughts over and over. We get it the first few times, we don't have short term memory loss. Otherwise, a delight. Four stars.

A thank you to Netgalley and The Passionate Pen for allowing me to download this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

WIINING PASSIONATE ROMANCE

Jess Michaels is one of my favorite authors and she never disappoints. No Gentleman for Georgiana is book 4 in the Notorious Flynn series. Although being a novella, the reader is not left feeling as if they have only read half a book or left wanting feeling as if they were only given half a story. The characters are full and complete.

The heroine, Georgiana Hickson, has been mostly a good girl and done everything she was supposed to do throughout her life, all so she could land a titled husband as her parents says she deserved. But she didn’t mind as she never met anyone who made her want more than what she was prepped for. That is until she met Paul Abbot (from Scoundrel’s Lover). As this is her fourth season she has seen him at previous functions and has a yearning for him. As she is not aware of his feelings for her she will do nothing toward winning him as she expects her parents will disapprove.

What she doesn’t know is that Paul saw her two years before the gathering and fell in love immediately. He thinks he isn’t good enough and will not meet her parents or her expectation. He will take every possible opportunity to be near her without harming her reputation. He soon finds out she would like to see a special exhibit in London, which her parents have forbidden her to see, and he agrees to take her.

Paul and Georgiana find that their feels are mutual and they discover they are both willing to do whatever necessary to make their dreams of being together come true.

Although this is part of a series it can also be read as a stand-alone title. It is preceded by The Other Duke, The Scoundrel’s Lover, and The Widow Wager and will be followed by A Marquis for Mary, due out in June.

I highly recommend this and any other book written by Jess Michaels to anyone who loves a good romance filled with steamy hot passion.

No Gentleman for Georgina is a novella from The Notorious Flynns series by Jess Michaels. I haven't read any of the books from the series previous to this one, therefore I can say that this novella can easily be read as a stand alone story.

The story is about Paul Abbot and Georgina Hickson. Paul is a man of no title, little fortune, and works as a manager at his brother-in-law's club. In essence he is a 'nobody' and although he has loved Georgina from afar, he knows she can never be his because he is in a class way below hers.

Georgina has an overbearing father, one that insists she marries a gentleman worthy of her and after 4 seasons of her not being offered for by a titled, worthy suitor he begins to despair that she will never make a match. She doesn't want to wed a man she doesn't love, but knows that her father would never agree to her marrying the man she does love.....Paul Abbot.

This story is a delightful one, it's short, but you still feel like you have read an enjoyable story with passion, intrigue, fun, sadness, and a lot of love. Being a short story is also good for those times when you want to read something but don't want to get into a long drawn out novel.

I know to write a good review you should also mention any negative feelings you have, but it just isn't possible to find any for this book. Everything from start to finish made sense, the characters, their relationships, everything!

I definitely recommend this, especially if you like a quick story with lots of emotion, fun and some passionate, yet beautifully written love making scenes, and of course, a happy ending.

Georgina Hickson is a lady who has been following the rules of the ton. Seeing her friends marry for love also made her wish for more and she has been trying to hide her feelings for Paul Abbot, a manager of a notorious club. Wanting to experience more freedom, she asks Paul for help. That is when the sparks fly.

I was a little underwhelmed with this story. Although it was a really quick read for me, I wasn't able to connect with the two main characters. I thought that the storyline was rushed (just because it IS a novella doesn't mean it has to be) and not well fleshed out. I see a lot of promise with the two characters and had hoped that this was a full novel and not a novella. The way both characters fell in love felt too shallow and did not really give a good enough reason for them to fall in love.

What a great addition to the Flynn series! This is a novella, but it doesn't feel rushed or skimpy at all. It flows perfectly and left this reader very satisfied!

I loved Paul in Annabelle & Marcus' story - he is such a great man. He is all you could want in a hero. He loves AND respects Georgina. His is not a rake who only thinks of his wants and needs. He doesn't feel worthy of her and because of his love, he will do nothing to harm her or her reputation.

Georgina was a sweet heroine. She has spent the last four seasons doing exactly as she should. She has tried to be what her parents want her to be, but she has reached her breaking point. She has had feelings for Paul since they met years ago - but has done nothing to act on them, knowing her parents would not approve. The last straw comes, when her father refuses to let her go to the wax museum exhibit She goes to vent her frustration to her friend Annabelle and instead finds Paul there and her makes her an offer she can't refuse.

The night they spent together makes her realize how much she loves Paul and wants him in her life - forever!

These two have the sweetest love I have read in a really, really long time and you ache for them to be together. There are also a few very steamy - yet tasteful and appropriate love scenes (nowhere near as hot as the other books - but they are perfect for this novella).

I was thrilled with the ending of this book and can't wait to see what Ms. Michaels comes up with for Mary!

sweet novella with a spicy ending, NO GENTLEMAN FOR GEORGINA pairs Georgina Hickson (good friend of Annabelle, the heroine from THE SCOUNDREL’S LOVER) and Paul Abbot (secretary to Marcus Rivers, Annabelle’s husband) together in a class-defying love story that leaves you with all the warm, fuzzy feelings you enjoy in a good romance.

Georgina has been out for four seasons, but doesn’t want the “good society match” everyone expects. Instead, she wants what Annabelle has – a passion-filled love match that lasts a lifetime. And she wants that with Paul Abbot. Paul is woefully oblivious to Georgina’s feelings despite harboring his own intense longing for her. But he knows Georgina is the daughter of an aristocrat and therefore cannot stoop to marry a common clerk like himself. So he pines from afar until one day he is presented with an opportunity to give Georgina something she desperately wants to see.

Georgina is delightfully resourceful and determined when she sets her mind on a goal. And it was wonderful to see Paul finally get his own chance at a happy ending. These characters were perfect for one another and I sincerely hope we will continue to see them appear in future Flynn novels.

This is book 4 in the Notorious Flynns series.

Georgina Hickson has spent her life doing what her family wants in order to secure a titled husband. When she meets Paul Abbot at a friend's gathering, she sees something that she wants for herself. But knowing that nothing can come of it, she settles for occasionally talking to him at parties.

Paul has been in love with Georgina since he laid eyes on her. When she offers him the opportunity to spend more time with her, he jumps at the chance. Taking Georgina to the wax museum, offers them a chance to get to know each other that polite conversation in a crowded ballroom would never allow.

What happens when they finally are able to spend time alone without the prying eyes of the ton.

Having gotten to know Paul while reading The Scoundrel's Lover, I was excited to read his story. Michaels did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend reading the other books in the series before reading this one as you get insight into the characters that you really can't get with a novella because of its length (this one is pretty short, too).

If you are looking for a quick, sensual read, this is the book for you!

I can't wait for the next book in the series, A Marquis for Mary, which comes out in June.

Thanks go out to Jess Michaels via NetGalley for a copy of the book in exchange of an honest review.

#4 in The Notorious Flynns"series, while, can be read as a stand alone, I strongly recommend reading the others in this amazing series! Each story is intricately woven together.
A quick, hot, steamy tale of passion, romance, finding love and an unexpected HEA. Once again, Ms Michaels has a hit with "No Gentleman for Georgina". Fans of Historical Romance, Novellas and hot, steamy stories, will enjoy this intricately woven tale of love and passion. I have truly enjoyed "The Notorious Flynns" series. Ms. Michaels is an amazing storyteller of Regency Historical Romance. Her characters are realistic, endearing, charming and well developed. Her sensual scenes, while, hot, and steamy are tastefully written. She takes care to be as historically accurate as possible. Once again, this was an enjoyable and very satisfying read! Can't wait to see what Ms Michaels has in store for her fans next. Well done! I strongly recommend!

*I got this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

First of all, I have to say, that I love Jess Michael’s books. They are hot, juicy and always have great female leads. Usually I don’t read books under 300 pages because they aren’t worth the time. This one was an exception with its 71pages. Its the 4th installment in the "Notorious Flynn" series.

It’s the story of Georgina Hickson and Paul Abbot. They are both friends of Annabelle and Marcus and Paul works for him in the club. The problem is that Paul has no title and no fortune. Georgina on the contrary has one, a large dowry and had several reasons already without an offer – she thinks. Her father wants her to marry and doesn’t allow her to have fun especially not with untitled men. Georgina always likes to be in his company and plans to seduce him to get what she wants.

71 pages aren’t a lot to tell a story and to be honest, you cannot go into the depths of it. But I really enjoyed this story even being only a novelette. You have to love Georgina!

Next time, Jess, please give me 300+ pages again, lots of smut (as always) and a sexy hero!
